Was thinking about how to describe the genre of the Sunshine Court trilogy and all I could come up with is that it feels like you're following the side characters in a thriller. Like Aaron Minyard is on trial for murder, Neil Josten is making deals with the FBI, the mafia and the yakuza, and Ravens keep dropping dead under mysterious circumstances. But then Jean and Jeremy are having sleepovers and hanging out at the beach and trying to mind their business

S2 Vox is so fucking funny. Genuinely competent, charismatic, and powerful, with the single glaring exception of losing his entire mind whenever he’s in a room with Alastor. So obviously he immediately cuts a deal which means Alastor will be in the room for every step of his grand plan. Psychosexual obsession barely covers this shit. Fucking amazing.
