he’s massacred for her. he’s let himself simmer under a slow-building frustration --- anxiety, he recalls, but that’s not all there is --- he let it seep through his inner workings, his makeshift veins ; he let cloud his mind, engulf his better judgement. his methodic care, his quiet --- all slowly chipped at for the sake of a joke, one he cannot, will not comprehend --- he’s gone off the deep end for the memory of her and the tears she’d yet to shed when it was still all just a game, back when his heartache was a flesh wound.                              back when this would’ve been a laughable farce.
