1.) This is a fascinating question! I have a looooong list of shorts that I want to write (and I'll go over more in patreon) buuuuut often with darthsuki there are AMAZING story ideas he suggests that I WISH he had the time to write~ guys....pierrot/jester.....trust me....if he gets around to it? AMAZINGGGGG!!!!

2.) HM----that is tough to say as well, great questions!!! Sadly I don't think there's any 'true' way to avoid it. Even for my jalapeño fic, that MC is particularly a character of a their own: someone who likes spicy foods, doesn't take harlequin's shit, but also is kind/compassionate when the person/people they care about are hurting. Now, in many ways these are vague traits too!

So, I would say, keep the personality of your MC open but also make sure you just write them how YOU want to write them. The jalapeño MC happened because I BADLY wanted to be snarky/playfully mean to Harlequin since we can't really do so in the game.

If you want to keep your MC totally open for the reader, I would suggest then what kind of reader you're appealing to? Do you want to make a meek reader who is shy and blushing around Pierrot? Someone who questions a lot---doesn't take the clown's vague responses as true answers? Or do you even want your reader to have a mind of their own? A voice?

Sadly, I think you do have to choose 'some' sort of personality for the reader-insert in order for it to be a realistic story. I don't think it's a bad thing though if they end up becoming an OC, but I guess if you're really worried then just make sure NOT to describe the reader's hair (outside of it being healthy or shiny), their outfit (other than if they're wearing warm clothes for winter or thin ones for summer) nor their skin tone (other than saying it's smooth or rough or something).

Avoid describin blush as reader's face/cheeks turnin red/gainin color, instead write it as the face/cheeks heatin up, majority of black ppl don't visibly blush as the pink/red coloration doesn't show up on our skintone!

Avoid descriptions of hair brushin, be it with fingers or a hair brush or anythin else, especially when the hair is dry!

For textured hairs, dependin on the texture, such actions are simply not possible most of the times!

Jester is holding Bil/TicketTaker's flower because of how much he treasures him. However, the leader of the circus crumbles its petals because he must be in control of all emotions.

Thus, his flower isn't '''wilting''' per say, but rather he's actively destroying it. Love will only happen on his terms, no one elses, not even if he may reciprocate these feelings. Love is a chaotic emotion, and though Jester is capable of feeling it, that doesn't mean he's happy about it. He will start/stop loving someone when HE chooses, no sooner, no later.

(Below might be a slight spoiler for how i intend to/and already do write harley in some fics)

Harlequin's flower however IS wilting--why? Because he's almost too late. Too late to realize and accept how he truly feels about The Pierrot. He's waited too long, made too many bad decisions, and frankly, maybe even purposely, tries to ruin his chances at some sort of connection with anyone (not just Pierrot). Pierrot's flower, which is wilting in his hands, will die soon if he doesn't do something about it.
