Welcome!
In my 13 years of having this account, I’ve never really figured out the system, but I guess I may share some of my MLB stuff here.
Nathalie has been my favorite since 2019, so most of it revolves around her and, by extension, the Agreste household. I also love Caline, Amelie, Millie, Penny, Alix, Kagami, and Chloe (before they took her redemption arc). I’m cool with all kinds of legal ships, but Sangrestes is probably my otp.
Here are my main areas of fanwork:
3D renders
My current main focus. I’m learning Maya through tutorials and mental breakdowns, and I have most of the characters up to season 5 (though some models don’t work). The software I use is twelve years old, crashes often, and is the reason for the animation change in season 6. At some point, I want to learn how to modify hair and clothes and do different environments. Current renders take me about 1-2 months.
Skill level: 5/10, I can connect textures but tend to lose eye controls, lights, or entire pieces of furniture.
Screencap edits
Different concept from renders, as it takes existing material and combines it into something new. Not as flexible as renders because the starting point is only a fixed frame (some perspective change is possible by taking the background from a few seconds later in the scene, but you can’t just 180-turn the thing). Lighting and colors are predefined, which makes it easier to fill in the canvas. I use several apps (Procreate, Picsart, Photoleap, etc.) and programs to scan backgrounds, adjust perspectives, and render the final image (so the whole composition blends nicely). Usually takes me a few weeks.
Skill level: 6/10, don’t look too close because you’ll see frantic brush strokes trying to stitch pieces together and blend them. Perspectives, hands, and faces are my enemies.
Fanfiction
Easy. Dozens of WIPs. I’ve been writing MLB fanfics since 2019, and I’m kinda satisfied with most of the things I produce. Plot is mostly angst with a bit of crack and scenes we were robbed of. I study linguistics and communication, but I feel the more I learn about languages, the less free and exciting my writing becomes (could just be depression tho). Anyway, I might actually finish some of the rough notes I wrote at 1 am.
Skills: solid 7/10 most of the time, but really depends.
Screenwriting
Haven’t done that in years tbh, but I think I still have some scripts lying around. It started as a prank on the original S5 leakers to show that they absorb absolutely everything without questioning and ended with me becoming the anonymous outlaw on Reddit. So if you ever read the script of Emilie and Nathalie kissing in the finale, I can now say that was me.
Skills: 8/10, good enough to accidentally fool an entire fandom.
Digital art
I draw like an elementary school child, and I know it. But I found out that it looks actually decent if I trace and copy preexisting scenes from the show. I’ve never really been an artist, and I’ve created like five (traced) drawings by now. Ironically, my mom works at a large art supplies store, so I kinda lived the dream of every manga kid.
Skills: 3/10, but it’s not terrible if I have an exact reference. Whenever I describe scenes to my friends with sketches, lord help them.
Other than that, I usually have some rambles and analyses ready in my notes app.
About me (for everyone I haven’t met yet in the fandom): You can call me phoenix or Lina or literally whatever you want, she/her pronouns, 20-something from Western Germany. I’m queer, neurodivergent, anxious, depressed, with an accident disability and left-wing views.
I like all sorts of western animation shows, whose newest seasons I haven’t watched yet because my time management and energy levels are absolute shit.
Disclaimer: Most of my things are not traditional art in that sense. I create for fun, not for profit.
The edits are probably full of copyright issues, the animation files are from the ZAG database leak of 2022 (available on archive org), I trace my drawings like a child, and my screenwriting has made me a more infamous villain in gen fandom than Gabriel.
If you don’t want to see these things on your timeline, feel free to block or hide my posts (idk what options tumblr offers). I want us all to have a good time here, in our own little spaces 🫶
Can't wait to share my things with y'all 💙
(…now can someone tell me how I pin this post to the top of my page please)
