               fingers dip against molded railing, tracing over designs with nimble grace. there is nothing she does that does not hold weight of intention, some brisk clarity to konstanze’s very presence that lingers despite warmth of smile that holds attention of bud-pink mouth. “this palace is lovely,” she intones to presence that has entered the wide expanse of the staircase, but she does not turn to great them. they have broken some reverie, some memory, some dream. she thinks of her children often. thinks of the fear they must feel deep within their hearts in this world, fears she could not sooth with words and whispers because she was too busy keeping care over the children of women far richer than she, “- even in such ashen silence.”

"it really is, isn’t it?” she muses, eyes following the other’s gaze towards the railing of the staircase. when she first arrived at the swiss castle, naina had been absolutely amazed at the astonishing amount of detail and hard work that had been put into making sure that every inch of the palace looked beautiful. even now that she’s been at the castle for a good few months, that feeling of amazement hasn’t really gone away. she can always find something new to admire or examine. “it used to be much livelier, before the attack. it seemed as if there wasn’t a single quite corner in the entire palace. i only hope we can eventually get some of that happiness back eventually.”
