crowned and carried, by angels and crows

i’ve been making fake instagram posts for my favorite fandoms and characters for a while so i thought: why not for my oc’s? extremely customizable, you can make things longer or shorter, or just use one of the pages (i’m partial to the second one, and you can extend the canvas height to add more comments!) hope you enjoy! credit isn’t necessary, but i’d honestly love to see what you make if you wind up using this!

template from @oh-atlas. i really enjoyed this one. joy’s typical color scheme is rich reds and dark blues, but i wanted to find something softer for her and i’m in love with this palette. will definitely be doing a few of my other characters in this.

sa’adah was born in the great drowian empire of fel’dahan, but brought to kalenshade’s temple of dulene when she was just a child. for many years, she would spend her time between the temple and the streets, using her divination powers to make easy gold. this is when she met rayne, a wood elf rejected by his ardesian clan. rayne and sa’adah went on to compete over food, money, attention -- but when it came to keeping one another safe, there was no competition. as adults, they fought with one another over jobs and gold, but their one rule was simple, and it was unspoken: no one could hurt them but each other. when rayne received the wound that would scar his face, sa’adah hunted down the men who gave it to them. when sa’adah was betrayed and nearly killed in odesta, rayne made sure the ones who did it paid dearly. it isn’t until they nearly lose one another that they realize, all those years of looking after each other, fighting each other and protecting each other -- that was love.

in the raoian village of zel’harish, mirana vukoja lives with her mother, toiling the days away in their bakery. when she is visited by visions of a man who claims to be her druid mentor, she leaves her home behind and ventures into the frozens mountains of rao’s nothern neighbor, ardent. while exploring the massive landscape of the mare’s spine, she happens upon a young man, petrified over thirty years ago by a basilisk --  bodhi avash. bodhi, called “briar” by mirana until he recovers his name, sets out to find his old friend who betrayed him, leaving him to perish in the spine while he fled with the spoils of their quest. mirana, desperate to find her mentor, finds herself guided by her visions to help bodhi and, eventually, allow him into her heart.
