“…………Please?”

   A sigh.

“…I’d’ve not made it to 20 without you,” Sora said, shivering pleasantly at all the contact. He was waking up. Or, his body was. He was torn on whether to allow it or try fall back asleep. 

“Y’ain’t’ve either though…”

   “Hmm... You are not doing that...”

“Of course…” If only people knew how stupidly adorable Riku could be. Or was this just him being demanding? Both? Regardless, Sora gave the other some space to turn around and then embrace each other again, Riku’s warm lips feeling especially so against his own cooler ones.

   “Mmmyes... Thank you...” Riku whispered against Sora’s lips, warm hands sneaking up Sora’s shirt to rub circles on his back. His teeth tugged on his boyfriend’s lower lip affectionately. Hey, being sleepy made him clingy...

Riku answered quickly. He liked that.

[Riku] YUP! Have you been to the place on the pier yet?

Ah… now he was getting kind of nervous again. He almost dropped a vase in his haste to clear everything up and shut down the store.

   [Sora ✿] Nope. Wanna go there? [Sent]

   Kairi grinned the widest grin possible as Riku clumsily put on his coat. He hurried across the street, if only to escape her commentary. Sure, she meant well, but... other than Riku actually finally having made a friend, there wasn’t much more to their dinner date, really.

   “Hmmm, ‘s fine... I wasn’t really sleeping...” Riku muttered, craning his neck in order to rub his cheek affectionately against the top of Sora’s head. Yeah. Definitely better.

“Am not!” said the young man wrapped around his boyfriend, after having been carried upstairs and basically coddled. He didn’t pull back though. The attention was well worth any teasing. 

“The other day I got more juice ‘n stuff before we ran out… progress.”

   “Adulting at its finest,” Riku spoke into the nape of Sora’s neck, hands running up and down his sides. Maybe they should get out of their clothes before bed, though Riku was pretty sure that meant he was gonna give Sora a lot of help undressing.

“Sure, but he’ll still be an ice queen. Don’t take it personally!” And with that, he waved Riku off and went back into the store. Only then did he realize his heart was hammering out of his chest. He had been out of the game for a long time, but he was pretty sure Riku had asked him out on a date. A date! And Sora had played it so cool. He was mega cool. He hadn’t made an idiot of himself in front of Riku, yet.

…Yet.

Lucky for him, work was busy enough to distract him from thinking about all the ways he was certain to embarrass himself in front of Riku, if given enough time to do so. And he found himself watching the clock, and making sure to wrap things up and save bigger tasks for the next day. When he was close to closing, he fumbled for his phone and shot a text over.

[Riku] I am getting hungry 🍕🍕🍕

   Riku found the rest of his work day to be surprisingly relaxing and quiet, if it wasn’t for Kairi bugging him on the whole Sora issue. Once Riku spilled the fact that Sora and him had dinner plans, she seemed overjoyed and hugged him, leaving Riku feeling confused, but strangely loved.

   Once he heard his phone ping, he swore he could feel the girl’s eyes on him right away, even though she was in the middle of a tattoo session.
