No one ever takes a photograph of something they want to forget.

Δε λέω πως δεν έχεις δίκιο να πικραίνεσαι. Γέμισε ο τόπος σαλτιμπάγκους, που ξεπουλούν στους πάγκους τους το μέλλον σου. Γέμισε ο τόπος καταπατητές, που μεταμφιεσμένοι σε σωτήρες ακολουθούν σαν τα σκυλιά τα βήματά σου…Όμως κρατήσου. Μην αφεθείς. Κάτι θα γίνει. Δεν μπορεί. Η ζωή ποτέ δεν περιφρόνησε τους εραστές της. Και κάτι άλλο. Ίσως πιο ποιητικό. Φύτεψε άνθη στις ρωγμές της πίκρας σου. Κι ύστερα βρες ένα μικρούλι ξέφωτο και κάθισε. ν απολαύσεις τ άρωμά τους. Α! Κι αν θέλεις μην ξεχάσεις πως υπάρχουν πάντα κάποιοι που αξίζει να τους προσφέρεις ένα σου χρυσάνθεμο! Αλκυόνη Παπαδάκη

I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.

The truth is, I feel beyond sad. I feel empty. Numb.

It happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people you’ve known forever don’t see things the way you do. So you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.

Break what must be broken, once for all, that’s all, and take the suffering on oneself.

I think sometimes when we find love we pretend it away, or ignore it, or tell ourselves we’re imagining it. Because it is the most painful kind of hope there is.

Ain’t nobody gotta die today.
