#tbt this post is about music and it’s role that it plays in my life. Music has always been in my life as far back as I can remember. Mum used to sing to us when we were younger and taught us how to sing. I received my first guitar when I was nine and it has been a life long journey learning how to play it. I am lucky and blessed to be able to play a few instruments competently and it has been a pleasure to share this ability with others too. I also love listening to and experiencing music as a fan too and many memories of mine are attached to songs which when heard transport me back to that moment in time too. #tbt #music #appreciation #skills #talents #goodtimes

What is around the corner for you? This question always sets my anxiety off. Not knowing where the journey will end up not being able to see around the corner, not being able to see the end of the road. This still worries me some but not as much as it used to. Trying my best to live in the present and not worrying too much about what may or may not be ahead. One of my favourite quotes is “if we are doing a little better than we were yesterday that is enough.” Everyone has journeyed to where they are now and there have been tracks left by the people and the events that have happened. Why it can be easy to look back and see where you have came from if you turn around and look forward there are no tracked to see or to follow. That is the exciting and scary part of life. I spent about nine years of my life in this town. It is one of the most unique places you will see. On one side there is thick green forest and then on the other side you have the empty hills of a once thriving mining town. Over my life one of the things that has made sense to me is words. Tonight my love for words was truly put to the test. I was asked to fill in for a speaker at my TAFE graduation ceremony right before it started. Throwback Thursday, I try to value each day and that has come from many things. Parts of my upbringing and beliefs help to shape my gratitude for being able to open my eyes in the morning. But another reason is that my life very nearly ended when I was seventeen. After being told I came within a couple of hours of death really helped open my eyes to how lucky it is to be alive. Transformation Tuesday. It has been a journey and a half so far just over three years has passed since I made a decision that has changed my life heaps. A doctors visit finally hit home to me that something needed to be done. It isn’t like I wanted to be as big as I was I just wasn’t able to be consistent and motivated with changing my health. But I have been lucky enough to be able to make the necessary changes and the results have come as a bonus of a healthier lifestyle. As hard as it has been so far I know it will be a harder battle to keep the weight off. A big shoutout to everyone who has helped keep me honest and motivated over the journey so far you have all played a role in saving my life and that isn’t an overstatement at all.
