LITERALLY why am i doing that i have work tomorrow and it's like 1am BED time NO

have three rough sketches of tarot cards and some loose plotting of giving everyone TWO major arcana (which i tried to assign not purely on upright but also on reversed meanings) with what i didnt already have map ideas for.

if i picked a favorite it would be upright Judgement. vivid imagery of Cesare in a grave filling with canal water yet drowning in his own blood being 'judged worthy' and reaching out for revival and a second chance not knowing the fate coming for him.

Overture: agent of chaos, master criminal, loves messing around with reality whenever she wants

she's really good at replicating handwriting!

more than that, she's able to shapeshift well enough to sometimes imitate other clowns or their voices. unfortunately, her yellow eyes, sharp teeth and claws is a part of her design she can't quite get rid of, so most of the time overture ends up covering these up if she really wants to blend in

overture didn't know steve personally when he was still old deuteronomy, but she still likes to bring him up to remind munkustrap of his mistakes

has indirectly replicated that one rollercoaster scene from final destination at least once, just with indestructible clowns this time (nobody got hurt)

given the chance, in a theoretical situation where she'd meet steve again, overture would probably try to use his banishment to manipulate him against munkustrap. she.. really doesn't think the two should remain friends

doesn't actually believe in jellicles as a religion, treating them like a fun story instead, but prefers to not bother patches with her view on those things, since they're having fun anyway

likes eating fabric, for some reason

Patches: aspiring to become a jellicle, unpredictable powers, good at sewing and dancing

there's many situations where patches' powers end up doing stuff that even overture can't figure out the logic behind

patches may or may not have used to have a clown doctor to advise on how to keep their powers in check. not that it worked

they think of overture as their mother at this point, and refuse to talk about their old parents at all

gets nervous very easily, which is partially why their powers go wild so easily

believes that jellicles are real creatures that exist somewhere out there, just on a different planet. that doesn't stop the child from wanting the clowns to be less strict about how the jellicle ball is played out, since patches thinks they will never know the real story anyway

they don't have any specific lore for the jellicle disguise they made for themself, but in their mind patches the cat is a real character.. possibly a magical kitten that can't quite control their strong magic yet and gets mentored by mr. mistoffelees

they really like popcorn and pink lemonade!

Annabelle: haunts a doll adopted by an old clown, dislikes living humans, ends up doing normal kid stuff because of steve anyway

she likes alice in wonderland (the book), so at some point steve went on a quest to the library to find an old copy. he succeeded, and now every once in a while annabelle asks him to read the book to her. her favourite character is the chesire cat

she's friends with penny's daughter! it started when the old clown took her to a playground and annabelle spotted a child in the sandbox. she waddled towards the kid, intending to scare her or kick sand in her face, but it didn't work out at all. the girl simply started talking to annabelle like to any normal kid, and the two had a conversation long enough for annabelle to forget that she was supposed to hurt the girl, and the spirit didn't feel like returning to that plan at that point. the two keep running into each other in seemingly unrelated locations, mostly since their parents know each other as well
