like i LOVE the romance we see

but i adore that friendship is important and major as well

i think one thing about it that i adore is the fact that friendships aren’t ignored or pushed away for the sake of romantic relationships

suzuki and tani start dating but she still hangs out with her friends and makes time for them, she manages to balance her time with tani and her time with her friends evenly

not to mention how quickly suzuki’s friends (too many to list) take to tani and accept him and don’t try and change the way he behaves or anything

i think the main friend group as a whole works really well together cause they seem to bring out the best part of each other, you can see how each character grows slowly with how they act (the way they seemingly adopt each others traits however small they may seem)

tani and taira’s friendship specifically is 1. so funny to me and 2. so precious. tani genuinely asks taira for advice and taira gives it to him, even if internally he’s always like “why ME?”

azuma’s background with relationships and friendships is so realistic, and the others are so good to her and she’s always so weirded out by it and simultaneously so happy

yamada’s pure friendship with all the girls too is so important! there’s never this weird “guys and girls can’t be friends” like he treats them all so well and him and suzuki specifically are a ball of chaotic energy but there’s never any line crossing AND yamada seems to love her and tani together

AND suzuki’s love for yamada and nishi being together! she’s so happy for her friend! and also so determined to annoy him!
