We're having a department wide diss meeting at the moment and given the whole lockdown situation I'm so thankful that my diss supervisor only allowed us to plan fully online projects.

13th Jan: Would you rather have an entire snow week off school or an extra week of summer holiday?

Man, uni holidays are so long I don't think I really need any more time off or I'll drive myself crazy.

14th Jan: What is your favourite winter outfit?

my first post in a while! i’m (kind of) back to my studyblr. i’ve been inactive for a couple of months because i really had no motivation and also took a break from uni the second half of 2020 because i was struggling with online uni. 

so what have i been up to during the 6 months i’ve had off? mostly reading and playing video games. i start uni again in february and i’m hoping that this year goes better for me. i’ll still be doing uni online unfortunately but i’m going to try and manage my time well so that i won’t feel overwhelmed. i’m currently going through that period in life where i have no idea what i want to do and frankly it’s a bit daunting. the lack of motivation and imposter syndrome doesn’t make things easier either! i guess my goal for this year is to figure out what i want my life to look like and to start taking action to get there.

Prune your contact list yearlySome people say to do this once a quarter and if you have the time to do it, great, but I usually don’t. I find that the best time to get in touch with people that you haven’t spoken to in a while is to just send them a quick personal email or note once a year, at new years, wishing them a happy new year. Almost everyone celebrates it, it’s politically correct, and if you are lucky it can even rekindle a relationship long dormant, whether its business or pleasure.

24.04.18 | Any tips on how to get better sleep? I can’t sleep for more than 5-6 hours at a time despite how tired I am, and it takes me a really long time to fall asleep or go back to sleep, so fmu 🙃
