A friend of mine got sent this recently, we just wanted to give people a heads up about it.

This is part of the "I accidentally reported your account" scam!

Reminder: tumblr staff does not use Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other platform to contact users about account issues.

Additionally, Tumblr staff will not instruct the person who allegedly reported you, telling them to contact you, to tell you, to then contact staff on some other platform.

If there is ever an issue with your account, tumblr will email you directly via the email linked to your tumblr account.

Don't share this email with anyone.

Do not change your email or password because someone else tells you to.

Do not pay money to get your "issue fixed" or to get your account back.

That is also extortion.

If you fell for this scam, or know someone who has, please contact tumblr via their help page. Explain that you got contacted by a user performing this scam, and make sure to tell them your account name, the email you were using on that account, and If you know who dm'd you, include that too. Any information is good information. :)

The project in question:

Its a protest art about the loss of culture and language (the baybayin I wrote there says "Ipagpapalit ba natin ang ating sariling kultura at wika para sa iba?" Which translates to "Are we to replace our culture and language for someone else's?")

The art I made depicts a person clawing away from the other three people dragging them down. It represents how people in my country ignore our rich culture, history and languages for say Western and East Asian cultures. The one trying to claw away represents the people who still value our rich cultural background, and stand for the protection and usage of my country's artforms and other such things, while the people who are dragging them down are those who pay little to no mind to how important one's own culture is and is more interested in trending affairs such as speaking predominantly English (which is something I have noticed in elementary school students and even in private schools where English is requirement (I can say I am part of the problem seeing as I am studying in one and I used to speak mainly English till when I was in first grade where my classmates influenced me to speak Tagalog and I also prefer stuff from other countries)) Basically what I am saying is... I think some people completely ignore the fact that we still have a culture and language to be proud of and I think we should value our own country's culture instead of envying others

Uhh... This ended up being a rant (┳Д┳) but I think its something everyone needs to remember. So try learning about your country's culture and history for fun? ...And for learning to appreciate it?
