Our Little Family masterlist
The air inside the concert buzzed with electricity. The crowd roared in rhythm to the last beats of âGodâs Menu,â the red lights flashing over the stage, sweat glistening on eight faces that had given their all for two hours straight.
Bang Chan grinned as the final notes faded out, heart hammering against his ribs. âThank you, Seoul!â he shouted into his mic, voice rough from excitement. The crowd screamed louder, and the sound washed over him â the kind of rush he lived for.
Behind him, Felix laughed breathlessly, throwing his arm around Hyunjin. âBro, Chan hyungâs eyes are sparkling again.â
Hyunjin smirked, flipping his damp hair. âHe looks like he just married the stage.â
Chan chuckled softly, waving one more time before the lights dimmed and the curtain dropped. As the music cut off, he finally exhaled. âGood job, guys. Seriously⊠that was incredible.â
They piled together, a sweaty, messy hug that only Stray Kids could manage â a bunch of brothers laughing through exhaustion.
âYah, hyung,â Seungmin grinned, âyouâre shaking.â
âIâm just proud of you all,â Chan replied, smiling softly. His voice wavered slightly. He missed her. He always did, but tonight⊠it hurt more.
Backstage, staff swarmed around them, handing out towels and water bottles. Cameras flashed, stylists chattered, managers congratulated them. Chan smiled, nodded â but the second his phone buzzed in his back pocket, his heart skipped.
That familiar ringtone â the one heâd set for her.
âGive me a sec,â he murmured, excusing himself and stepping into the hallway, away from the noise.
He answered instantly. âHey, babyââ
A voice came through, weak but trembling.
âChannie⊠my water just broke.â
For a split second, the world stopped.
The hallway blurred. The cheering from the arena disappeared. All that existed was her voice â strained, breathless â and the pounding of his heart in his ears.
âWâwait, what? Youâ you meanââ
âYes!â you cried, your voice rising slightly. âThe babyâs coming! Chan, itâs happeningââ
Chan froze. âOh myâ okay, okay, breathe, breathe! Whereâsâ are youâ whoâs with you?!â
âMum and dad are here, weâre heading to the hospital nowââ
âOkay, okay, Iâm comingââ
âWhat?! Chan, youâre in Korea! You canât justââ
But heâd already hung up.
Because his brain wasnât functioning anymore.
His wife â his wife â was in labor. In Australia. And no one in the group even knew he was married.
âHyung? You good?â Han poked his head around the corner, munching on a granola bar. âYou look like you saw a ghost.â
Chan turned slowly, pale as paper. âI need to go.â
âUh⊠go where? We have encore photos and an interviewââ
He rushed past Han, nearly tripping over a cable, grabbing his jacket, phone, and passport from his bag like muscle memory.
âWoah woahâ Chan hyung!â Lee Know appeared out of nowhere, towel still draped over his shoulders. âWhatâs going on?â
âIâll explain laterââ
âLater?! Youâre sprinting out of the dome in your stage clothes!â
By now, the others were gathering â Felix, Seungmin, I.N, Hyunjin, and Changbin, all wide-eyed and confused.
âHyung, did something happen?â I.N asked worriedly.
Chanâs chest heaved as he tried to find words. âSheâ myâ my wifeââ
âYour what?â Han choked.
âMy wife! Sheâs in labor! In Australia!â
ââŠWife?!â Felix practically squeaked, eyes the size of dinner plates. âYouâre married?!â
Seungmin blinked. âSince when do you have a wife?!â
Changbin dropped his water bottle. âBro, youâve been married this whole time?!â
Hyunjin threw his arms up. âYou mean all those nights you disappeared early werenât for the gym?!â
âGuys, not now!â Chan barked, fumbling with his phone. âI need to get to the airportâ no, a private planeâ something fast!â
Felix blinked, still stunned. âYouâre seriousâŠâ
âSheâs about to have the baby, Lix!â Chan shouted, voice cracking. âIf I donât get there now, Iâll miss it!â
The room exploded into chaos.
Han dropped his granola bar. âOkayâ okayâ we gotta do something! Someone call Manager-nim!â
âAlready on it!â Changbin said, phone to his ear. âHey, hyung, emergencyâ yeah, itâs Chanâ no, not healthâ itâs baby relatedâ NO, not his baby figuratively, like literally his baby!â
Hyunjin ran after Chan, who was already sprinting down the hall. âHyung! You canât just run to Australia!â
âWatch me!â Chan yelled back, dodging a confused staff member.
I.N trailed behind, panting. âWaitâ do we pack snacks or something?!â
âJisung, go with him!â Lee Know ordered, half-panicking, half-leading. âFelix, get the company to arrange a flight. Bin, make sure Manager-nim doesnât faint!â
âToo lateâ he fainted!â Changbin shouted from the phone.
Twenty minutes later, the Stray Kids dressing room looked like a war zone.
âOkay,â Felix said, typing furiously on his laptop. âThereâs a private charter from Gimpo to Sydney leaving in forty-five minutesâ we can get Chan on it if we pull some strings.â
Hyunjin was pacing. âHeâs gonna be a dad. Heâs gonna freaking be a dad.â
Han was trying to calm Chan down, which was impossible. The leader was pacing like a lion in a cage, running his hands through his hair, muttering half in English, half in Korean.
âWhat if I donât make it?â he said hoarsely. âWhat if sheâs scared and Iâm not thereââ
Han grabbed his shoulders. âYou will make it, hyung. Weâll get you there.â
Seungmin nodded, scrolling on his phone. âIâm booking an emergency driver. We can get you to Gimpo in twenty-five minutes if we leave now.â
I.N looked up shyly. âHyung, should we⊠like⊠tell your family youâre coming?â
Chan blinked. âThey already know.â
âOf course they do,â Felix muttered, shaking his head with a smile. âYou sneaky little kangaroo.â
âGuys,â Chan said quietly, meeting their eyes one by one. âIâm sorry I didnât tell you earlier. I didnât want it to affect the groupâ sheâs private, andââ
âHyung,â Lee Know interrupted, arms crossed but voice soft, âdonât apologize. Go. Weâll handle everything here.â
Chanâs throat tightened. These idiots â these brothers â always had his back.
Han clapped his hands. âAlright, letâs move! Dad Chan has a plane to catch!â
âDonât call me that!â Chan shouted, but the corner of his mouth twitched upward despite his panic.
The ride to the airport was chaos itself.
Changbin was yelling at the driver to go faster, Hyunjin was recording a chaotic vlog (âChan hyungâs having a baby! Everyone panic!â), and Han kept feeding Chan random snacks âin case you faint halfway through the flight.â
Felix sat beside Chan, quietly holding his phone. âI texted your mum. She says your wifeâs in the hospital now â sheâs doing okay, but things are moving fast.â
Chan exhaled shakily. âThank you.â
âHey,â Felix smiled softly, squeezing his arm. âYouâll make it. Sheâs strong. You always said that.â
Chanâs chest ached at that â a memory flashing of you laughing in the Australian sun, teasing him for forgetting the baby name list again.
He missed you so much it physically hurt.
By the time they reached Gimpo, everything was a blur. Security staff, flashing cameras, the roar of fans who had no idea what was going on.
Manager-nim had somehow pulled every string possible. A small private jet was ready, engines humming, door open.
âGo!â Lee Know yelled, shoving Chanâs backpack at him. âWeâll handle the press! Just go be with your family!â
Chan froze at the door, turning to look at them â his members, grinning and shouting encouragement despite the chaos.
âHyung!â Han yelled. âName the baby after me!â
âNO!â everyone shouted at once.
Chan laughed breathlessly, eyes wet. âThank you, guys. I love you all.â
âGO, OLD MAN!â Hyunjin shouted dramatically.
And he ran â heart pounding, lungs burning, tears stinging his eyes â up the stairs and into the plane.
As it lifted into the night sky, the city lights of Seoul glittered beneath him.
He leaned back, breath trembling, staring out the window. âHold on, baby,â he whispered to himself. âIâm coming.â
Meanwhile, back in the dorm, chaos had not ended.
Felix was already updating the group chat: âChan hyungâs plane took off. ETA Sydney 8 hours. Heâs gonna be a dad before sunrise.â
Han was already pacing the kitchen. âDo we send flowers? Balloons? Diapers?â
âWhy are you panicking?!â Seungmin said, rolling his eyes.
âBecause our leaderâs having a baby!â Han shouted. âWeâre uncles now!â
Changbin grinned. âUncles who donât even know the babyâs name.â
âBet itâs something cute like Lily,â I.N murmured.
Felix chuckled. âMaybe. But whatever it is⊠itâs gonna be loved.â
Chan didnât sleep a second on the flight. Every sound, every vibration made him restless. He called your mum halfway through â you were in labor, things were progressing, but fast.
He prayed under his breath between every update. âPlease, just let me make it. Let me see her.â
And when the plane finally touched down on the Sydney runway, he didnât even wait for the seatbelt light.
The plane door hadnât even fully opened before Bang Chan was out of his seat, backpack slung over his shoulder, heart pounding in his throat. The flight attendant barely managed a startled âSirâ!â before he was sprinting through the terminal, eyes darting left and right for the nearest exit.
He hadnât changed out of his concert clothes â black joggers, sneakers, and a hoodie with âStray Kids Everywhere All Around The Worldâ printed on the back. The irony wasnât lost on him. He really was everywhere.
A familiar voice cut through the crowd. His younger sister, Hannah, was waving frantically from behind a security barrier, phone pressed to her ear. The moment he saw her, his composure cracked.
âHannah!â He bolted toward her, nearly tripping over someoneâs suitcase. She threw her arms around him as soon as he reached her.
âSheâs already at the hospital,â Hannah said breathlessly, pulling back to look at him. âMumâs with her â sheâs doing good, but the doctor said the babyâs coming fast.â
Chanâs heart nearly stopped. âFast?â
She nodded, eyes wide. âAs in⊠you might have, like, twenty minutes.â
âTwentyââ He didnât even finish. âLetâs go!â
They ran through the terminal, Chanâs hat pulled low, Hannah on the phone with their dad. Outside, his family car screeched to a stop â his father behind the wheel, his mumâs voice shouting through the speaker, âChristopher! Sheâs asking for you!â
Chanâs throat closed. âIâm coming, Mum. Tell her Iâm coming.â
He jumped into the back seat, slamming the door shut as the car tore down the road toward the hospital.
Traffic lights, horns, city lights flashing past â the drive felt endless and too short all at once. Chanâs fingers tapped restlessly on his knee, his eyes flicking to the clock every few seconds. His father glanced at him through the rearview mirror, voice calm but warm.
âSheâs strong, son. Youâll get there.â
Chan nodded, trying to breathe. âI shouldâve been here sooner.â
Hannah reached over, squeezing his hand. âYou did everything you could. Youâre here now. Thatâs what matters.â
His phone buzzed again â a video call.
On screen, seven chaotic faces crowded around the camera.
âHyung!â Hanâs voice blared. âAre you there yet?!â
âIâm in the car,â Chan said, breathless. âAlmost there.â
âDid she have the baby?!â I.N asked, eyes wide.
âNo, not yet, but any minuteââ
âTell her weâre cheering for her!â Hyunjin shouted, waving dramatically. âAnd for you! Go be Daddy Chan!â
Chan groaned. âStop calling me that!â
Lee Know smirked. âBetter get used to it. Youâre a dad now.â
Changbin grinned. âYou better cry, bro. Like ugly cry. Or it doesnât count.â
Felix smiled softly through the chaos. âWeâll be waiting, hyung. Go meet your little one.â
Chan swallowed hard, emotion thick in his chest. âThanks, guys. Iâll call whenâ when it happens.â
He hung up before his voice broke.
The hospital came into view â bright lights, automatic doors, and a blur of nurses. The second the car stopped, Chan was out, sprinting inside, ignoring the startled looks from people in the lobby.
âBang Chan!â a nurse called. âRoom 208 â maternity wing! Hurry!â
He didnât even ask how she knew his name. He just ran.
The hallway seemed to stretch forever, but finally â Room 208.
Hair damp with sweat, face pale but radiant, your hand gripping his motherâs as another contraction hit. The sound tore through him â pain, strength, life all at once.
Your eyes flew open when you heard his voice.
âChannieâŠâ you breathed.
He froze at the doorway, eyes wide, chest heaving. Then he was at your side in two strides, dropping to his knees beside the bed, grabbing your free hand.
âIâm here, baby. Iâm here.â
Tears welled in your eyes. âYouâ you made itâŠâ
âOf course I did.â He kissed your knuckles, his hand trembling. âYou think Iâd miss this?â
Your mum smiled from the corner, brushing away tears of her own. âYou barely made it, sweetheart.â
âDoesnât matter,â Chan said, squeezing your hand tighter. âIâm not going anywhere.â
The doctor looked up from the foot of the bed. âAlright, Dadâs here â good timing. Weâre almost ready to push.â
âWaitâ what? Now?!â Chanâs eyes widened.
The nurse chuckled. âYou picked quite the entrance.â
The next minutes â maybe hours â blurred into chaos. Chan had faced screaming fans, intense stages, and sleepless nights, but this was a whole different kind of overwhelming.
You squeezed his hand so tightly he thought you might break it. He didnât dare complain.
âYouâre doing so good,â he whispered again and again, brushing damp strands from your face. âYouâre amazing, sweetheart. Just breathe, okay? Iâve got you.â
You let out a breathless laugh between contractions. âYou sound likeâ like youâre coaching a traineeââ
He laughed through tears. âOld habits.â
You pushed. You screamed. You cried.
And Chan could only hold your hand, whispering comfort, his heart pounding so hard it hurt.
Then â a rush of noise, a nurse calling out, and a sudden, tiny cry that filled the room.
The doctor smiled. âCongratulations. Itâs a girl.â
A single, fragile cry â high and clear â broke through the haze. The nurse lifted the small, wriggling bundle, tiny fists waving in the air, and Chanâs knees nearly gave out.
You sobbed, covering your mouth with your free hand. âIs sheââ
âSheâs perfect,â the doctor said softly.
Chanâs hands trembled as the nurse brought the baby closer.
âWould you like to hold her, Dad?â
The word hit him like lightning. He nodded wordlessly, tears streaming down his cheeks as he reached out â and the moment that warm, impossibly small body was in his arms, the dam broke completely.
âOh my GodâŠâ he whispered, voice shaking. âHi, baby girlâŠâ
She blinked up at him, eyes unfocused but curious, a soft coo escaping her lips.
You watched him through tears, your heart swelling at the sight. Bang Chan â your husband, your rock â now holding your daughter like she was made of glass and starlight.
âShe looks like you,â he murmured.
You smiled weakly. âPoor thing.â
He laughed softly, brushing a thumb over the babyâs cheek. âNo way. Sheâs perfect.â
The nurse helped you sit up slightly, and Chan carefully placed the baby in your arms. The three of you â together at last â surrounded by the soft beeping of monitors and the distant hum of hospital life.
You looked up at him, eyes shimmering. âYou really came all this wayâŠâ
âIâd cross the world a thousand times for you,â he whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead. âBoth of you.â
Your mum sniffled quietly from the corner. âOh, ChristopherâŠâ
Chan looked down at his daughter again, his heart aching with so much love it felt impossible to contain. âWe did it, baby. We did it.â
An hour later, after everything settled â paperwork done, the baby cleaned and swaddled â Chan sat by your bed, his hoodie half unzipped, exhaustion finally catching up.
But he couldnât stop staring.
His daughter was asleep on your chest, tiny fingers curled against your hospital gown. Youâd fallen asleep too, hair messy, face peaceful.
Chan felt a lump rise in his throat.
He reached out and gently stroked a strand of hair from your face. âYouâre incredible,â he whispered.
Then, quietly, he pulled out his phone.
A flood of unread messages filled the screen â from the boys.
Lee Know: âDonât drop it.â
Changbin: âName her after me.â
Hyunjin: âNo, name her Hyunjina.â
Seungmin: âYouâre all ridiculous.â
I.N: âCongrats in advance, hyung â€ïžâ
Chan chuckled softly, typing a reply with one hand.
âSheâs here. Healthy and beautiful. Thank you, my brothers.â
Almost immediately, the group chat exploded.
Han: âAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!â
Felix: âCRYING đđđâ
Hyunjin: âUNCLE HYUNJIN IS READY.â
Seungmin: âCongrats, Dad Chan.â
Changbin: âSEND PIC OR WE RIOT.â
He smiled, turned his camera toward the sleeping bundle in your arms, and snapped a soft picture.
âMeet her â our little miracle.â
The next morning, the hospital room was quiet, golden light spilling through the curtains.
You stirred awake to find Chan still beside you, your daughter cradled against his chest, his hoodie wrapped around her like a cocoon.
He hadnât slept. He was too busy smiling at her every few minutes, eyes shining with wonder.
âMorning, Mum,â he whispered when he noticed you watching.
âMorning, Dad,â you teased weakly.
He grinned. âIâll never get used to that.â
âNeither will the boys,â you laughed softly. âThey were so shocked, werenât they?â
âOh, yeah. Han almost choked on his granola bar.â
You giggled, and Chanâs heart melted all over again.
Then the baby let out a tiny yawn, and both of you froze, staring like sheâd just performed a miracle.
Chan leaned down and kissed her forehead. âWelcome to the world, little one.â
You smiled. âWhat do we call her?â
He met your eyes, thinking for a moment. Then, softly: âHana. Because sheâs our one and only.â
Your eyes glistened. âHana Bang⊠I love it.â
He smiled â tired, teary, completely overwhelmed â but happier than heâd ever been.
Three days later, the Sydney sunshine spilled through the hospital window, turning the room golden. You were propped up in bed, your daughter â Hana Bang, officially named and already the center of the universe â sleeping in your arms.
Bang Chan sat beside you, hair messy from three nights of no sleep, his hoodie somehow permanently attached to him now.
He still hadnât fully processed it â the tiny human sleeping on your chest, the way her hand fit perfectly around his finger, or how your smile had somehow grown softer, warmer, more complete.
You glanced over at him, eyes glimmering with amusement. âYou keep staring.â
âI canât help it,â he said softly. âSheâs literally perfect. Youâre literally perfect.â
You laughed, shaking your head. âYouâve said that like twelve times since sunrise.â
âNot enough,â he said seriously, and leaned in to kiss your forehead.
You smiled, brushing your fingers through his hair. âYouâre gonna be the most embarrassing dad ever, arenât you?â
He grinned. âOh, one hundred percent. Iâm gonna show her all my trainee videos.â
âPlease donât traumatize her that early.â
He laughed â and just as he was about to reply, his phone started ringing.
The ringtone was chaos. Literally. Because it was âSuper Bowlâ and every member yelling âSTRAY KIDS!â in unison.
You raised a brow. âThe boys?â
He nodded. âTheyâve been blowing up my phone for two days.â
âAnswer it,â you encouraged with a small smile. âTheyâre family too.â
Chan exhaled and pressed âAccept.â
Immediately, the sound of seven different voices shouting exploded from the speaker.
âHOWâS YOUR WIFE???â
âARE YOU BREATHING OKAY?!?!â
You jumped slightly, laughing. âOh my God.â
Chan quickly flipped the camera to face you and the baby. âOkay, okay â quiet down, youâll wake her up!â
Then seven faces filled the screen, all frozen in collective awe.
âOh myââ Felix gasped, clutching his chest. âSheâs so tiny!â
Hanâs eyes were already watering. âSheâs literally the size of my microphone.â
Changbin sniffled dramatically. âWhy do I feel emotional?!â
Hyunjin wiped fake tears. âOur leader became a dad! The world isnât ready!â
Lee Know leaned forward, squinting. âShe looks like you, hyung.â
Seungmin smirked. âPoor thing.â
âHey!â Chan barked, though he was smiling proudly.
You couldnât help giggling. âHi, everyone.â
The screen exploded again.
âHI, MRS. BANG!!â Han screamed.
âHI, SISTER-IN-LAW!â Felix beamed. âYouâre so beautiful â oh my gosh, how did you survive Chan for this long?â
You laughed, holding back tears. âItâs a miracle, honestly.â
Hyunjin clasped his hands. âYouâre our hero.â
Changbin nodded. âOur leaderâs married, and his wife is cooler than him.â
âHEY!â Chan protested, but you just smiled.
âSheâs sleeping now,â you whispered, glancing at Hana. âYou can say hi quietly.â
They all collectively leaned closer, voices dropping to a whisper.
âHi, baby Hana,â I.N said softly, eyes shining. âWeâre your uncles.â
âSeven of them,â Seungmin added dryly. âItâs chaos already.â
Felix waved. âWe love you already, little one.â
Han sniffled. âSheâs literally perfect, hyung. I canât believe youâre a dad.â
Chan smiled softly. âMe neither.â
âAre we allowed to come meet her?â Felix asked hopefully. âWe can fly in for a few days. The company already said itâs okay â we told them itâs âurgent family business.ââ
Chan blinked, surprised. âYou guys would really come all this way?â
Hyunjin grinned. âBro, weâd cross the ocean for our niece.â
Changbin flexed his arm. âUncle duties. Someoneâs gotta teach her how to rap.â
Lee Know smirked. âAnd someoneâs gotta teach her to bully her dad.â
âAbsolutely not,â Chan said flatly, but you were already laughing.
âAlright,â you said softly. âCome visit. She deserves to meet her uncles.â
Sydney International Airport had never seen anything quite like the arrival of seven chaotic Korean idols trying to disguise themselves with masks, sunglasses, and bucket hats.
Felix was immediately recognized by his accent while ordering coffee (âone flat white, pleaseâ), Han got distracted by a vending machine, and Hyunjin nearly tripped over a suitcase because he was filming everything.
But somehow, they made it to Chanâs family home.
When Chan opened the door, he barely had time to breathe before seven bodies launched at him in a group hug.
âSHOW US THE BABY!!!â
He laughed, squished somewhere in the middle of the chaos. âAlright, alright â calm down!â
Felix was the first to spot you in the living room, cradling Hana on the couch. His jaw dropped.
âOh my gosh, there she is,â he whispered, as if approaching royalty.
You smiled warmly. âHi, boys.â
âHi, mum!â Han said dramatically, hands clasped.
You rolled your eyes, laughing. âPlease donât call me that.â
Changbin peered over the couch, eyes wide. âSheâs so smallâŠâ
âBecause sheâs a baby,â Seungmin deadpanned.
Hyunjin leaned closer. âLook at her tiny nose! She got that from you, didnât she?â
Chan puffed his chest. âExcuse me, my nose isââ
âBig,â Lee Know interrupted.
The room erupted in laughter.
One by one, the boys gathered around you and the baby, their loud energy softening instantly as they saw her.
Felix knelt beside the couch, whispering in awe. âHi, Hana. Iâm your Uncle Lix. Iâll teach you how to bake cookies.â
Changbin crouched next. âUncle Binâs gonna teach you how to lift weights. When youâre older. Much, much older.â
Hyunjin beamed. âAnd Iâll teach you how to pose for pictures.â
Seungmin scoffed. âSheâs two days old. Relax.â
Han clasped his hands dramatically. âIâll teach her how to write songs about love and snacks.â
Lee Know leaned in. âAnd Iâll teach her how to bully her dad effectively.â
âAbsolutely not,â Chan repeated, glaring, but everyone just laughed.
Even I.N, who had been standing quietly in the back, finally stepped forward. He smiled shyly, peeking at Hana. âHi, baby. Iâll teach you how to be the calm one in the group.â
Felix snorted. âYou mean the only sane one.â
You giggled softly, heart full watching them all. âSheâs so lucky,â you murmured. âShe already has eight protectors.â
Chan looked around at the room â his family, his brothers, his wife, his daughter â and felt something inside him settle. A peace he hadnât realized heâd been chasing.
Later that afternoon, the chaos continued in the backyard.
Chanâs mum had set out snacks and tea while the boys sprawled on the grass, cooing over the baby in her stroller like proud uncles.
âLook at her!â Han squealed, snapping a dozen photos. âI canât believe sheâs real!â
âShe has more hair than you,â Seungmin muttered.
Han gasped. âSeungmin! Sheâs a baby! Donât start bullying already!â
Felix sat cross-legged, gently rocking the stroller. âSheâs gonna grow up surrounded by so much love.â
Changbin nodded. âAnd chaos.â
Hyunjin leaned back on his hands, sighing dramatically. âImagine her first words being âStray Kids.ââ
Lee Know smirked. âOr âLee Know is my favorite.ââ
Chan, who was bringing out juice boxes, glared. âOver my dead body.â
You came outside, laughing softly at the sight â your husband trying to corral seven grown men as if they were toddlers.
âThis feels like a daycare,â you joked.
Chan sighed. âIt is a daycare.â
You leaned against the doorframe, smiling at him. âYou love it.â
He looked at you, eyes soft. âYeah. I really do.â
As evening fell, the group sat together around the backyard table. The sunset painted everything in shades of gold and rose.
Felix was holding Hana carefully, humming softly â a lullaby Chan recognized from their trainee days.
Han was filming everything on his phone. âThis is gonna be in our documentary. âThe Day Chan Became a Dad.ââ
âDelete that,â Chan warned, but he was smiling.
You rested your head on Chanâs shoulder, eyes half-closed. âThey really flew all this way just for us.â
He smiled softly, wrapping an arm around you. âTheyâre family. Theyâd do anything.â
âJust like you did,â you whispered, looking up at him.
He turned his head, kissing your forehead gently. âIâd do it again. A thousand times.â
Later, after everyone had left for the night (well, after Felix tried to sneak Hana into his room and Lee Know physically dragged him back), you and Chan sat together on the couch, the baby monitor humming softly beside you.
Hana was asleep in her crib down the hall, peaceful as ever.
Chan leaned back, eyes closed, a tired smile on his face. âI think today was the happiest day of my life.â
You smiled. âNot the day she was born?â
âThat was pure panic,â he laughed. âThis⊠this was peace.â
You nestled closer. âYou did good, Channie.â
He opened his eyes, gazing down at you. âWe did good.â
You smiled sleepily. âSheâs got your heart, you know.â
âSheâs got yours too,â he whispered. âThatâs what makes her perfect.â
For a moment, the world was quiet. Just the sound of your breathing, the hum of the night, and the soft pulse of love that filled the room.
Then his phone buzzed one last time. A message from the group chat.
Han: âHyung, we left you something on the table.â
Chan frowned, got up, and walked over to the dining table â where he found a small box wrapped in red paper.
He opened it â and laughed.
Inside was a tiny white baby onesie that read:
âFuture Member of Stray Kids.â
You burst out laughing when you saw it. âOh my Godââ
Chan held it up, chuckling through tears. âTheyâre unbelievable.â
âAre you going to tell them no?â you teased.
He smiled softly, holding the onesie to his chest. âNot yet.â
That night, when he finally went to check on Hana one more time, he stood over her crib, heart full to the brim.
âHey, little one,â he whispered, brushing his finger gently over her tiny hand. âYouâve already changed my whole world.â
Her little hand curled around his finger, warm and perfect.
Chan blinked hard, tears threatening again. âYou, your mum, and my boys⊠youâre everything. And I promise â Iâll always be here. Always.â
He leaned down, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Behind him, you whispered sleepily from the doorway, âShe loves you too.â
He turned, smiling. âThen Iâm the luckiest man alive.â
You crossed the room, sliding your hand into his. The two of you stood there, watching your daughter breathe peacefully under the soft glow of the nightlight.
The chaos, the running, the panic, the laughter â it all led to this moment.
Bang Chan had his music. He had his brothers.
But now, he also had home.
