You sit in the small den, perched up upon a slightly itchy wool couch, reading the paper, waiting patiently for Credence to finish up getting ready. You could hear him shuffling in the bathroom from upstairs, small grunts of discouragement echoing off of the thin walls. You tap your foot against the ebony floor, and then stand when you continue to hear the grunts, making your way upstairs. "Credence?" You call out. "Baby, are you okay in there? We're going to be late for mass." Credence's voice sounds rushed and panicked, like what he was hiding in there was going to kill him if you saw - and he had no problem with slamming the door before you could see anything. You shake your head and open the door - widening your eyes at what you see, your entire face going pink. A chest. Very prominent, too. Only, this chest had breasts, something you had never noticed. Credence was obviously in the midst of binding it with some sort of medical bandage, almost halfway through being done. He screamed in fright, immediately running into the shower to cover himself. "Get out!" He yelled. "Get out!" You quickly closed the door gently, still in shock at what you had witnessed. You weren't mad at Credence, never. It was just a surprise, that was all. It wasn't his fault that he wanted to be something that was so difficult to achieve in these times, and you applauded him for doing so well to pass. You walked back downstairs, running your hands over your face and sitting down again, hearing Credence quickly finish up, finishing his tie while rushing downstairs, his head cast down toward his feet, his face full of shame. He did not want to look at you in this moment, and yet, you grabbed his cheeks with the gentlest of touches, and rubbed them softly with the pads of your thumbs. It was a simple but blessed gesture, one that Credence cherished. You kissed the top of his head and pulled him in close, the boy immediately sobbing into your shoulder, his knees shaking aith anxiousness. His obscurus began to flow from his body, but quickly sucked itself back in, not wanting to hurt you. It was the little things that made Credence love you. He knew that you didn't mind it, not at all, but it isn't exactly flattering to find your boyfriend in the bathroom pathetically trying to attempt to bind his chest. You sighed, and wiped Credence's tears. "Hey.. baby.." You whispered. "It's okay.. hey.. it's okay. You wanna stay home?" Credence shook his head and sniffled, apologizing to you in a small, frail voice. He felt a bit relieved, and obviously it'd be a conversation topic for later, and as much as you had frightened him, he wanted to go to mass much more now, to thank God for the wonderful gift he'd been granted, you. - tags: none, sorry!
