very funny neopets thing to me is how any time theres a particular hot ticket item rereleased in some manner, you'll get that VERY loud group of people on the boards like "SIGHS..... i guess we dont have to WORK for anything anymore..... and all our hard work means NOTHING if you're gonna just hand us super rare items for free..... SIGH...... whats there to even save up for on neopets anymore *insert unsure smiley here*"

and then you look at the site news. and its the neopets team holding a contest where one of the prizes is a stamp thats gonna have 30 units max in existence.

like it cant just be me who feels that this is the hardest any of the teams prior has actually catered to these types of players, right? theres just a constant stream of highly limited and hard to obtain items that immediately blow up in value (ESPECIALLY all of the stamps/charms like theres no way they dont know whats happening to those in the market), but im supposed to feel bad bc i can buy WoDF and TTear in the plot prize shop. Okay.

really curious about something! so on neopets and other petsites that allow usershops, you tend to see people stock a relatively easy item to get at a much higher price than usual, saying its for people to buy if they feel like "donating" to said shop. made up example using my own shop:
