The 2nd pinup of 202 is by Nicole Roberts, a good friend and Super Art Fight colleague. This pinup is also of Morgan but takes her on in a different way by showing her towering behemoth hauntingly standing over her. The drawing is beautiful however the color work is moody and amazing. Overall I think it does a perfect job of showing the insane culmination of Morgan’s dark determination.

So for the rest of the chapter, which has been a long one (get used to that), we get to spend it with Charlie, Colby, and their family as they attempt to cross the border into Canada. One of my favorite things to do is find real places to include in the book, like Saulte Sainte Marie in Michigan. go look it up. It's beautiful and would make for a perfect place to help these needy refugees

I love that these are so used to creation and all the creepiness that can come with it that they are fine with going into this giant monstrous thing. I'm sure it will all turn out okay

So I just want to call out that there is a typo on this page in the 3rd panel where I give Peter the wrong last name! There is a bit of an anecdote behind the spelling here but since it involves a real person, I'll save it til you ask me in person. Don't worry. I fixed it for the print version

This character is just oozing with creative energy, so much so that he can sense a lot about each member of the crew. I'll tell you right now, I had a lot of fun designing his outfits to be like J Crew science nerdcore

Peter Mabyn is one of the 3 original Creators, along with Morgan and Adwin. I don't think I have really mentioned him since the 2nd chapter of the first volume, way back in 2014 when he ran away and disappeared, but, we found him!

I have had students like Michael many times throughout my career as a middle school art teacher and the only way to get through to them is through the relationship of trust you build with them. It was interesting to write the conversations between Adwin and Michael because they mirror conversations that I have had so many times with students resistant to letting go of their anger.

And here it is, the giant mega creation city. In the wilderness of Northern Michigan there is a giant purple city of flesh and stone. This was the image that popped in my head that made me want to write this 3rd and final volume.
