How come you liked that toy more when the original was right here, all in his glory pouting for YOUR attention?

He only showed the plush briefly while rambling about an adventure to the group, but you were quick enough to snatch it right off his hands. Because he was oh so generous (you're his favorite) he allowed you to keep it.

Looking at you now, he kind of regrets his decision.

You held that thing like it was your lifeline. While it was flattering at first, it practically hogged ALL your attention. You cuddled it in your sleep, kept it by your side at all times - hell, you even talked to it about your day!

Are you not aware he can see and hear everything?

Why do all that to a toy that can't even speak when he can do the same for you and is a hundred times better?!

He tries snatching the plush from you.

"Caine? Hey, give that back!" You tried to reach for it, but he made it disappear with a snap of his fingers.

"Nope. You spend too much time coddling that thing. And well, I can't have you getting distracted on my adventures!"

"You said I could keep it."

He shook his head, placing his hands on his hips. "Time out is necessary. Why do you like it so much anyway?" He wishes you can hug him like that too

"Because it's cute!"

"Cute? But.. it looks like me? So does that mean you think I'm cute?" Caine inches closer and closer to you until it's uncomfortable. With a soft laugh, you push him away slightly.

"Well duh, I wouldn't like it that much if I didn't find you adorable."

While Caine is reassured by that, the main problem still remains. "Then why don't you hang out with me too? I'm WAY better than that thing, not to mention even cuter and the fact I can do anything you-"

"Are you jealous?"

He stilled. "What?"

"You're jealous." The realization makes you grin. "You're jealous of a plush version of yourself? Caine, that's so-"

Caine glitches out a bit before he turns into a panicked mess. "W-W-WRONG! YOU MISHEARD ME! As the ringmaster I am simply looking out for the wellbeing of my guests. Nothing more and nothing less!"

You see right through him, unconvinced. "You know you can just ask me to hang out like a normal guy, right?"

"Really? You wanna spend time with me?"

"Yeah, of course." You grin, holding your hand out to him. "C'mere."

He practically jumps in your arms.

"Did I ever tell you just how adoooraablee you are?" Your movements were sluggish as you poked Caine's teeth continuously, a stupid smile on your face. Hence the name 'stupid sauce.'

During a small mishap, you accidentally got one on your eye from Ragatha's bottle that she kept during the Spudsy's adventure for reasons you didn't know. Either way, the moment that strange liquid landed on your face you immediately entered a trance-like state as if you were running on one brain cell and multiple cans of energy drinks.

"You're like, so, so adorable. If you had cheeks I'd pinch them all the time, hehe." Despite your words, you reach out and squeezed his gums. It's softer than you would've expected. It's like Caine's actually made of jelly— which definitely doesn't help his flustered state.

"Me? Adorable? Why, thank you my dear! Though I don't understand what pinching one's cheek does. Is that one of your human customs? How interesting!" It's been hours since you got intoxicated with that sauce. Ragatha tucked you to bed an hour ago as an apology (of course she'd take the blame) but you somehow escaped and now Caine's accompanying you in the now empty circus.

"Mmh, ever heard of cuteness aggression? It's like that feeling where I just wanna nibble and bite on you just 'cuz you're so heckin' cute. The way you talk about bees and $?#1 like that, and when you get so excited about your adventures.. makes me wanna squeeze you reealllyyy hard."

Caine laughs nervously. "Cute.. but aggression? Like you're mad at me but at the same time happy? I don't think I understand how that works... nor do I think it's a good idea to bite me— o-or even squeeze me!"

You pout. "Not even a tiny squeeze? What about hugs then? Do you liiikeee huuugss?"

He stiffened, yet there's a hint of curiosity and even excitement beneath his hesitation. "I've never hugged a human before.. but we could try!" He stands in front of you — actually touching the ground now. He looks even tinier for some reason, and that combined with his stiff posture — you couldn't help but snort.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing." You giggled, before wrapping your arms around him. Caine gasps softly in surprise. His hands flail around wildly, like he doesn't know where to put them, before it eventually settles around you, mimicking the way you did.

"So this is how humans hug? I have to admit, this is very.. nice." He relaxed, melting into you. "I've never hugged anyone before."

"You're warmer than I thought.. and soft.. like a fluffy pillow. Y'feel so good.. " Something about that feels weirdly intimate that Caine has to mentally slap himself and clear his throat. "AHEM! I'm assuming you're comfortable! Judging by the way your body's getting heavier and pushing me down- oomphf-" You slump into him completely, going silent. "Hello?" He pokes your back.

"Have you fallen asleep?" The lack of response from you practically answered his question. For a moment, he stays completely still, unsure what to do.

"Wow Caine, you've got a human fall asleep on you! For the first time in the last forty years!" Bubble floats around you two, seemingly coming from nowhere. "Seems like you've got that cha-RIZZ-ma after all."

"Bubble, shh! You'll wake them up." Even though you look like you'll be asleep for the next twelve hours, he still doesn't want to waste this rare, once in a lifetime opportunity. Especially from you.

But things aren't always permanent. At some point he'll have to teleport you back to your room and let you go.

At least, that was the plan. You don't seem too keen on letting him go no matter how much he tried.

"It appears I have found myself stuck in a predicament." He sighed dramatically, giving up after endless attempts of wriggling out of your grip, just for your grip to tighten.

"Just make sure to use protection!" Bubble teased.
