The White House announced that President Obama will visit Hiroshima, Japan on May 27 (70 years after the US dropped an atomic bomb on the city). The film was an experience since there were eight screens surrounding the viewer with The Acid band performing a live score in the center - and no seats for anyone. This was a powerful way to explore the most destructive invention man has ever created. As the film visits different cities worldwide, it’s important to remember that there are 15,000 nuclear weapons that exist today (the US and Russia possess 90 percent of them). It’s a story that works best without seats, as the issue requires everyone to take a stand.

Roger Guyett, visual effects supervisor for the film, says approximately 2,100 of the film’s 2,500 shots feature digital effects.

Sometimes the most interesting story unfolds when you simply change your perspective.

"On A Human Scale" at last weekend's "Storyscapes" event, part of the Tribeca Film Festival, is an interactive music experience that triggers facial expressions based on the note being played. The vision from creator Matthew Matthew is a "growing musical instrument of humanity." I watched people step up and play notes at the piano for about 10 minutes. The moment someone hit a key, they immediately smiled at the human reaction that it triggered on a panel in front of them. This is truly an instrument of human connection.

TIME released its list of "Selfiest" cities worldwide based on the number of selfies taken in them. New York comes in at #2, behind Makati City and Pasig, Philippines (according to photos tagged with "selfie" and revealed location on Instagram).
