Welcome back!

Thank you for all who have waited for the next chapter. I have been occupied with personal issues, but finishing this will stay priority.

I did run into issues with Wattpad servers saving the draft, but now they are resolved. At first I wanted to make Ch 9 the final chapter with 10000 words like a big march to the finale, but ended up cutting it in half. After the issues I thought putting the finale in Ch 10 would be a good round number.

Ch 10 is 1/4 done and I've already made good progress on the artwork for it.

Fixing the text

If you've been following my fanfic- Helsie in the Zone, I'm excited to hear your feedback on it so far!

Right now I have pretty much finished writing Chapter 7 and started on Chapter 8. I want to release Ch7 with an artwork which I should finish soon. I can't say for certain if the story is going to go on for a while, but the end is soon in sight!

Meanwhile I had the thought that the first chapters were a bit too amateurish for the level I've gotten to now. I went back and redid them just a bit to be more inline with the quality of the later chapters. Right now the Intro and Chapter 1 is fixed. I'll rework the later chapters sometime later. The reason for this is just to not throw off new readers with confused pacing and prose.

While taking a break from getting constantly dabbed on by kids coked up on Gfuel and Prime, blasting "Thick of it" by KSI to drown out their parents arguing for the fifth time in the day- I broke my hip, fell over, and STALKER 2 installed on my computer. I spent nights and days playing it, unable to move- being swallowed by the visuals, atmosphere, and gloom.

During this time I began to imagine how would Helsie, my favorite Fortnite character, deal with this kind of reality? What if the rules of the game were changed to the absolute mutated horror of the Zone?

Currently my hyperfocus is aimed at completing this fanfic.

Written by me, refined some parts with chatGPT, all art is painted by me in Photoshop.
