JADEN SYRE SMITH – actor, creative rap artist and son of hollywood’s black royal couple, Will & Jada Pinkett Smith.
i usually don’t have a preference between dude’s having long hair or wearing it short. however, Jaden being forced to crop his long blonde locks off in order to film his upcoming new film has done wonders for his physical appearance. i totally dig Jaden’s eccentricity, cosmic style and other worldly vibe. however, in his case, ditching the long dreads this past spring has truly highlighted the very handsome contours of his facial structure and that smooth, maplewood skin.
we will next see JADEN starring opposite CARA DELEVINGNE in a 2018 romantic drama about a teenage boy who discovers that his girlfriend only has one year to live. he decides that instead of sobbing and wasting time away following her diagnosis, he is instead going to show her what their lives would have been over the course of a lifetime. only… he only has 12 months to travel this journey alongside her.
the film is called, “LIFE IN A YEAR” and is being executive produced by Will & Jada’s entertainment company – Overbrook.
i personally cannot wait to see it! contrary to what some critics have spewed about Jaden in the past, i think his talent is natural, organic and impressive on-screen. i very much enjoyed his performances in PURSUIT OF HAPPY-NESS, KARATE KID & AFTER EARTH. the boy caaaaan act! he hadn’t even reached the age of 18 when the three film projects were released.
additionally, Jaden’s debut album is fire! titled after his middle name (SYRE), the LP actually features Jaden as a lyricist and mild flow master. IF people were not so hung up on “who he is” and simply listened to the tracks with no idea regarding whose vocals were on wax, i’m sure many would actually GET IN.
i first started anticipating the album when i was rummaging through vimeo around this time last year & stumbled across Jaden’s music video for “FALLEN” – the lead single lifted from this first, full-fledged music project.
it’s a dope track! …one that is a part of my fall/winter Apple Music playlist.
and now that the entire “SYRE” album has been released, i also vibe out daily to another cosmic record called, “LOST BOY”.
Jaden only just celebrated his 19th birthday, buuuut… this young man is blossoming quite nicely – artistically and physically, alike.
