"Chuck, Chuck, you gotta see this!" Striker had rushed in all in a hurry, face split into a wide grin as he grabbed onto his Ranger's hand. "C'mon, it's amazing."
“What? Okay okay give me a moment!” he said trying to pull on a shirt before following Striker curiously. “What’s got ya so riled up?” he asked curiously.
“No pilots.” Striker confirmed. “Although, I dunno about fresh. Raven looks a bit dinged up, y’know?” He frowned up at the Canadian Jaeger, massive as it was, but he was also busy running his hand along what he could reach of Hunter Dynamite, feeling scratches and grooves. “Hunter’s only got a fresh set of paint over some damage..?”
“Painted over damage?” he walked over and ran his finger tips over the Jaeger and shook his head. “What the fook is goin’ on? No pilots, no history. They can’t’ have taken out any Jaegers…”
Striker shrugged, staring intently up at the Australian Jaeger… Before turning to his Ranger. “If they don’t have pilots, I say we call dibs on Dynamite.”
Chuck turned and grinned at his Jaeger, all teeth. “I knew tehre’s a reason you were m’Jaeger!” he laughed and nodded. “Probably take better care a him.” he said looking over before the ankle joint.
“Her.” Striker interrupted, looking up at the brown-painted Aussie Jaeger. “…Don’t ask me why, but I think she’s a girl.” He said it with a whole lot of certainty, squinting slightly at Hunter before turning his gaze rest. “…Raven’s the only guy. I think.”
Chuck listened and rose his eyebrows a bit. “Okay. So…can you still…drift-sense or whatever with them?” he asked. “We’ll take good care a’ the sheila.” He already wanted to strip the paint down and give her a proper cleaning an re-painting. And a thorough mechanical look over. “Are…they loike you guys?”
“...Huh? Oh, I don’t fucking know. It’s just... Just the feelin’ I get.” He paused at the second question, hesitating and staring back up at the brown and orange Jaeger, standing so proudly there. “...Again... I don’t know.”
