Short Version: It's not about fixing a problem. It's blood sports for amoral shitheads.
A lot of people who consume "predator hunt" content genuinely believe that all civil rights should be suspended if you're accused of pedophilia. Because of this belief, they disregard those rights deliberately because they don't care about them because cop shows have broken their brains.
The idea of adhering to and respecting someone's civil rights entirely because doing otherwise hurts your case doesn't get through to them because that kind of ideological pragmatism doesn't compute with a belief system that is entirely based on emotional gut reactions and moralistic grandstanding.
This is why they keep getting kicked off Roblox, because they're interfering with actual criminal investigations that they don't know are going on because the investigators didn't consult with @Scalp_Every_Tranny_1488 at every stage of the investigation.
We're talking about a group of people who will scream "KILL ALL PEDOPHILES" despite the fact that everyone knows they don't have the spine to actually pull the trigger themselves, and advocating for murdering the mentally ill instead of treating them doesn't line up with any leftist praxis in the universe.
The reality is they're not interested in the safety and wellbeing of children, they're after blood sports. It's why they spend more time grandstanding about random trans women who never did anything than going after the people in the Epstein Files.
All of their beliefs and twisted logic comes around to maintaining this idea that once you accuse someone of pedophilia, all their rights are suspended and it's morally acceptable to abuse, torment, isolate and stalk them endlessly. And then we're surprised when they almost exclusively use it to slander and harm people they don't like.
They don't want to solve the problem of systemic abuse of children, because solving the problem means they lose a rhetorical weapon to wield against unrelated third parties. It's why they play dumb and accuse people of "pro predator rhetoric" when they lay out everything I just laid out. It's hard to slander someone in an environment where people take "innocent until proven guilty" or "extraordinary accusations require extraordinary evidence" seriously.
These people have a 0% catch rate for predators and that is not due to incompetence, it's by design, because this is little more than new-age McCarthyism.
And pointing this out will cause an endless tirade of bad faith accusations of being "pro-predator" like they did to Patricia Taxxon and ISFF because they don't want anyone finding out that's exactly what they're doing.
"They're murderers and rapists" is what every fascist says when they want people to not help their abuse victims.
