Scan it in as a tif file and open it in clip studio (any program would likely work)

Adjust levels (pull dark tones darker, and very slightly nudge highlights lighter to make the paper white, but don’t blow it out)

Use colour dodge layer with white airbrush to gently erase pencil marks or dust and brighten gel-pen highlights/correction fluid marks if you have any (or the dodge tool if you have PS or something). …Sometimes I also lasso the entire drawing and just delete everything outside of it to begin with but it might depend on the drawing if that will look natural or not…

If desired, use clone stamp tool to clean up colour sections where maybe there is a lineart mistake cutting into the colours or smudges/dust or something like that

Unsharp filter (only thought to do this just today tho, bc my scanner is not too great and I can’t turn off the auto sharpen it does on my lines and esp on full colour stuff it looks kind of gross lol)

Colour balance, if your scanner really doesn’t want to pick up certain hues you can try to get some of it back this way.

Save a full size copy of the edited version (i do png copy but you can do whatever) so you can keep the original just in case. (If you want)

Resize smaller for web posting, mine usually ends up 60-70% of original size or less depending on og size and what I think looks good. Change dpi to 72.

Imagine a Tiny Helen riding on his back with a little paper sword, princess riding into battle on her mighty steed….

(Then I imagined a full size Rani sitting on his back like “Oh youre giving out rides, cool I wanna try” but can handle all that, shes a lot heavier than a a tiny Helen… killing his backkkk)
