This babe is the deepsea lizardfish (Bathysaurus ferox), is found in tropical and subtropical seas across the world, have been known to reach over 70cm in length.

This was encountered in Guayanilla Canyon, off the coast of Puerto Rico, at a depth of 2,000 meters (6,560 feet)

With those lots of tiny sharp teeth is really “ferox “

#HHHGMMMMM #not gonna lie i still prefer the sketch stage alot better to any finished work #not that this is finished #but sketches you can imagine what would look better to you #and finished has a set form and colour #i like the sketch cos you can imagine the kind of hands that would suit it and the feets texture #is he fleshy or scaley #coulda coated her in fur #and the loose lines mean you cansee the form in your ideal way without seeing the errors in a finished hard outline yknow #i gave her a more realistic creature kinda nose and removed areas that may not actualy function irl #and in the sketch there is no nose and its more sharp and some of the proportions wouldnt make sence in a functioning way #not to say i made it a funtional perfect animal i mean look at the teeth but ykno!#i just wanted to have some fun with colouring and not being serious!#its nice messing with it!#but id say the sketch is the finnished drawing not the fleshed out one :o)#the animosity and vagueness of #the gal is what apeals #like its all you need to know is in the sketch the personality the form and the general idea of what im portraying the skin colours and #shading i find jsut destract from it and you end up judging the texture and all that instaid of focusing on who this creature is!#i dont know tho jsut how i feel #the vagueness of a form is what allows your imagination to fill in the gaps and satisfy your vision for hte ideals of the creature #cos many would go against how i portraid it in the second image #but have their own ideas of the finalization of the sketch #i mean if youre reading this and have read this then try to think of hwo you would finish the sketch and what you woudl do differently #maybe hooves or longer legs or the tail is cut off or theres weird tubes coming from her #shes covered in thick fur #who knows yaknow!!#i played it safe and literaly with this sketch!#i might come back to her one day and create a completely different aproach
