Simon was sitting in the lab, watching Ryland and Rocky work. He knew a bit about science but not too much, I mean, he wasn't sent on a mission to save the stars as much as he was sent to die. He wasn't even sure if it would be the same since Grace said he had gone through a wormhole. Although it was interesting watching Ryland and Rocky work, it was also sorta boring, he didn't know half of what they were even talking about considering it was stat related and well… that wasn't really his strong suit. Simon decided he would go catch up on those documentaries Ryland was showing him.

Simon made his way down to the “don't go crazy room” to turn on some documentary. He decided to put one on from the folder of ones Ryland was planning to show him later on. He chose one that had a pretty looking ocean and sat back, crossing his arm over his chest and holding his stub getting cozy damn it, I should have brought a blanket he scowled to himself in his mind but decided to just watch the screen for now. It started out with a soothing voice talking about the ocean. Simon was immersed in seeing all the fish swimming in the clear water. It was amazing how he could see the fish everywhere on the dome screens. At this point he wasn't even focused on what the guys voice was saying, just seeing the pretty fishes and all the clean water. Maybe he could see if rock would be able to have something like fish in the bio dome when they landed… He could hear Grace and Rocky talking in the lab but couldn't make out what they were saying, he also couldn't be bothered to decipher it. As the documentary went on he was getting sleepy and felt fuzzy, he wasn't sure why but he also couldn't be bothered to figure that out right now.

After about half an hour Simon was half asleep,leaning against the railing when he heard footsteps coming into the room, he already knew it was grace so he didn't look up. “Simon?” He heard graces soft voice speak to him. “Hm?” Simon hummed non comitally, to tierd to give a proper response. “Do you want like a blanket or something? I mean the floor by itself can't be comfy, especially with your joints, and the railing is pretty much just metal-” Before he could keep rambling Simon nodded and mubbled “Sure.” Ryland nodded. “Alright, I'll be right back!” He walked off, speed walking to get the quilt and some pillows for Simon. Rocky rolled into the room Simon was in, hearing his heartbeat surprisingly calmer then normal. Rocky sat down next to Simon, listening to the documentary “What Simone watching, question?” He piped up. Simon shrugged and mumbled out in a softer voice than normal.“Dunno, something bout earth ocean…” Simon's voice was notably quieter and smaller than normal. Rocky noticed it but didn't say anything about it this had happened a few times with grace so he didn't see it as a large problem.

Ryland came back a few minutes later with blankets and pillows, he plopped down the bedding next to Simon. Simon looked up and grabbed the quit and wrapped it around himself. Ryland smiled a bit, feeling his heart melt, he looked so sweet right now, his eye looked like he was trying to give him puppy eyes, Grace had to stop himself from giggling at that to not scare him off. He finally spoke up from seeing the puppy eyes“Si? Do you need something?” Simon hesitated for a second, looking away and shaking his head no. Ryland could tell he was lying but he nodded anyways, deciding to move on and not press him on this for now. Moving onto the next thing to keep Simon not overthinking anything he decided to ask“Alright, do you want to make a pallet to lay on?” Simon thought for a minute and nodded but didn't move to get up. Ryland had to bite his lip to stop himself from laughing and smiled a bit. “You have to get up, bud” He wasn't really sure why he felt so parental over him right now, like he was one of his students, be it felt right. Simon looked upset but nodded, standing up but his knees wobbled a bit and he leaned on the doorframe, his main mouth and side mouth both yawned along with it. Ryland felt his heart melt but he went to start making the pallet to not seem like he was staring, he called rocky over to help with the pallet instead. “Why Rocky help, question? Blanket pile is for Butcher Grace, statement. Rocky hard, no need blanket pile, statement.” Ryland sighed and rolled his eyes “Just help me out here rock.” Rocky made an annoyed chitter but helped make the pallet nevertheless.

Simon shifted a bit and went to go help them even though he didn't feel very stable on his feet, he didn't want to have to repay them for this later, even though they had never made him pay them back before, old habits die hard. It always was worse when his head was this fuzzy, so he tried to put the blankets in the right spots but for some reason he was being all clumsy and his arm wasn't moving right and he was getting frustrated and nervous since he knew he wasn't doing it right. Grace could see something was up and Rocky could hear Simon's breathing go shallow and quick. Rocky could hear Simon's heart beating loud and quick like how Graces got when he was being all leaky or panicky. “Simon ok, question?” Rocky asked and Simon jumped a bit at the question, nodding though since he didn't want to be any problem. No he *couldn't* be. Simon just tried to help more even though it was just getting more frustrating and he was so frustrated about how clumsy he was being. Ryland raised an eyebrow, now a bit more concerned “ya sure? You seem… a bit off.” He was trying to be polite and not scare him off more. Simon huffed and he felt his eyes water a bit, he knew he shouldn't be feeling like this, definitely not crying over some pile of blankets. This was just going to make it worse, he pressed his palm to his left eye and took a shaky breath.

Rylands brows furrowed, walking over to him and Rocky rolled over and chirped up “why Simon leaking, question?” Simon did not respond, he took another shaky breath. “...Sorry… I can um… I can do better… I promise I can…” Rocky bumped into Simon's legs to cut him off “Simon is ok, Simon take break, no sorry, statement.” Ryland nodded“You've been doing perfectly fine, you don't need to do anything right now, we're making this pallet so all of us can rest and take a break, I think me and Rocky have it from here” Simon nodded, still looking guilty and all nervous though. Ryland and Rocky were done within a few more minutes and Ryland plopped down on the blanket pile first. Rocky rolled over and settled down in his ball next, leaving room for Simon to sit. Simon hesitated and shifted foot to foot, worried about ruining the pile. Ryland noticed and patted the spot next to him. “Com’er” Simon nodded and sat down carefully next to him. He was still all balled up, his arm wrapping around his knees to keep him all together and taking up less space. Ryland frowned a bit since Simon still looked scared and guilty. Rocky bumped into his side with the ball lightly “Why Simon still upset, question?” Simon just leaned a bit away from him but that just put him into Rylands side though. He tried to move a bit but now he was sandwiched and squirmed a bit before his fuzzy head settled to lean more onto Rocky's ball since it was more solid and not human and as easily breakable as Grace was. Rocky nudged Simon again to get him to answer the question. Simon reluctantly began speaking.“..dunno, just don't deserve it.. y'know I've been being a freeloader… I can't do much science and I mean, this is so much more complicated then the SM-13 so I can't pilot and I'm just taking resources and your just taking care of me for no reason…I can't even give a thing back…” Simon finally admitted, curling up into himself more. His voice was a bit muffled and shaky.

Rylands eyebrows furrowed and his face got tight in concern and aggravation at not noticing this till Simon looked like he was gonna break down from this. Rocky made some frustrated chirping noise “Simon no problem, statement. Simon much help Grace happy, help watch Rocky sleep, no problem, Simon give much much much information, statement.” Ryland nodded as well“Simon, your not burdening us at all, you help us keep sane, you do help with science and your great to talk to, it's nice having another person to talk to y'know, your perfect being here.” Simon curled up a bit more, he was never good at listening to praise. Ryland noticed and gently wrapped the quilt around him “even if you won't believe us, we are still keeping you here. We like having you around and you don't owe us anything.” Rocky nodded, well nodded as good as one could without a head“Yes yes yes, Simon stay here with us, statement” Simon nodded, wiping his face off again before using his hand to hold the quilt around his shoulders, leaned back against the railings of the “don't go crazy room’. Ryland smiled at that, glad he relaxed somewhat. “Wanna go back to watching the show?” Simon nodded, his brain too fuzzy to compute as he leaned his head on Ryland's shoulder. After a moment Rocky rolled into his side and relaxed next to him. Ryland turned the documentary back on and Simon watched it with big eyes for awhile, now much much calmer. Ryland smiled a bit, watching as his eyes dropped and he stayed curled up more, yawning, Grace smiled and asked after a few minutes, Simon looked like one of his students right about now, Ryland asked“Tired?” Simon nodded “Alright, I'll watching you and Rocky sleep” Ryland responded, Simon nodded and Rocky chirped up

"Thank grace! Rocky Simon need sleep, statement.” Simon nodded and Rocky let out that big sigh noise he made when he was about to sleep. Simon nodded, listening to the noise and Rylands breathing and felt the heat through Rocky's suit and yawned. The warm on him and the squishy of ryland made Simon calm down and finally be able to sleep. Ryland smiled, watching them sleep, glad to see Simon finally relaxed and him and Rocky getting along. When they woke up he would have to talk to Simon about all this since he normally didn't act like this but for now he would let him sleep and actually relax for once.
