    “I’m enjoying myself plenty, just a little disappointed in the first crop that’s come through this year. None of them would even remotely survive VIP night, and I do like picking those out of the crowd.”

“Blame the millennial.“

     “I believe one fainted in the next room or ran into a wall, there was a loud thud.”

“You don’t seem to be enjoying yourself. We have a reputation to uphold.“

Magnus rolled his eyes at the line, but leaned back into Michael. “Letting your guard down? Relaxing? Dividing one day from the previous thousands?” He lazily made Michael’s drink, placing it in his hand when it was done. “You’ll have to excuse the cherry, I don’t typically stock my bar with the ingredients for old men.” His arm had slid around Michael’s waist and inched its way closer to his ass. “Are you going to stop me from sleeping tonight, Michael?”

“I do that every morning.“ Michael said sniffing the concoction Magnus made for him. “I don’t see any gray hairs and I don’t remember any complaints. Ever.“

“Well I’m always working… doesn’t leave much time for dating.”

“Nope, just terminally single.”

“I’m always working and my sex life isn’t lack.“

“I am interested.”

“Out of the other three alliances in town, why us?“

“An incredibly enjoyable non-necessity.” Magnus glanced over his shoulder, sensing their usual dance was already starting. “I remember when you’d request a whiskey neat, when did you become so elaborate?” 

“Oh, I know.”

“What is there to enjoy about sleeping your night away? The feeling of waking up because I know a better substitute.“ Michael continued until his front was touching Magnus back. “Anon. Aries never brings me what I ask for.“

“A kiss? Never mind. I don’t need to see that bad.”

“Don’t play hard to get. Everyone wants a kiss.“

“Warren Smith.”

“Aries mentioned you and expressed possible interest.“

“You say that as if all the Coventrys aren’t insomniacs.” He rolled his eyes and went o the bar in the living. “What do you want to drink?”

“Your talent of turning shade into a compliment is unmatched.”

“We’re warlocks. Sleep is an option not a necessity.“ He hummed following after Magnus and hovering close by. “An old fashioned with whiskey not broubon.“

“You went radio silent for a minute there.” He walked past Michael, but left the door open as an invitation. 

“I’ve learned not to expect anything from you, then it’s just a pleasant surprise.”

“I do have a growing blue eyed, dark haired, milky skin son who consider his tan brown eyed uncle more of a father than myself and a nonexistent family business to run as a money front.“ Michael smirked walking in and locking the door behind him. “Supernatural or not I still get a full 10 hours of sleep a week“

“I have a date… And I need you to cover my watch.”
