i should start sharing fun facts about my species on here

fun fact #1 we were almost extinct by the time i uh. ended up on land (funny story) idk what happened to the rest of us in the years after that but i dont think it got better

fun fact #2 its customary with us to give your lifelong partner or your children the coolest little trinkets you can find (seashells, corals, shiny bits, whatever). some people would have a gift from a loved one made into jewellery or wtv to have it on them every day. also plenty of family heirlooms like that (they had no value they were just cool). and many people would exchange these heirlooms with their partners if they had no other relatives. kinda like giving your fiance your grandmas wedding ring? or some shit idk. also some people would make these trinkets part of their look to the point where we sometimes recognised each other by these things before seeing anything else (yk if it was hard to see for whatever reason). oh also!! human made objects were kinda trendy at certain points but never really that much, people always ended up going back to natural stuff
