Let’s be honest, showing up for yourself doesn’t come naturally. It requires a high level of self love and discipline that is incredibly challenging. If you can’t root for yourself to that extent, how can you expect others to do so?

Discipline is absolutelyyyy everything

It’s pathological that people who create endless moodboards and spend hours upon hours searching for visual ‘inspo’ on Pinterest are seen as somehow motivated or accomplished. How the hell does wasting time looking for niche motivating ‘aesthetic’ pictures of a lifestyle make you more motivated or mean that you’re ‘manifesting’ anything. This collective presumption that’s seemed to fester on social media needs to be done with. It’s so asinine I can scarcely even believe it. Actually DOING things is what counts.

I agree and that’s one perspective. The other is how mood-boards inspire people to see themselves in places they never thought they’d ever experience. It is not just for ‘aesthetics’ it’s also for representation.
