Truth Can Be Hard To Say, Even When ☀️Lord Apollon☀️ Encourages It.
It has been a while since I post stuff here. It doesn't mean that I have stopped my worshipping, though my worship has been wavering -- as much as I hate to admit.
Once again, I am receiving 'signs' from Lord Apollon... that He is sad, He is upset. He wants 'honesty' from me, and I failed to do that.
He is aware of my situation with my family. Very much so, that I believe He thinks it is time for me to go straightforward and be honest with my family about my worshipping Him.
Oh dear, oh dear... how am I supposed to say it?
Today, I truly had the chance to speak up -- to admit that I am in fact a Hellenist. But I backed out, and lied about certain things to cover my secret.
Lord Apollon is unhappy, He is sad... I could not gather my courage to speak of the truth. But how am I supposed to admit that I am in Hellenismos without inviting any judgement from the ones who will hear it?
How am I supposed to have courage to speak... when 'Truth' is so terrifying?

I think pagans are very strong people. The lack of pagan representation, lack of temples, communities and overall acceptance of our religion hurts deeply. There is a reason why many people, including me, take big breaks from paganism. It is indeed very hard to stay consistent. The amount of doubts all of us are having when doing a certain practices is unimaginable, but we try, sometimes fail and try again. What I wanted to say is that no matter if you step away or feel like you are failing what you are doing is important . It keeps our religions alive and going. No matter how oppressed we are, we will not yield and we will continue to believe.
Sometimes it isn't always about worshipping a deity on a certain day that suits them. It's about the effort and energy you bring to them when have the free time. Hope this reaches the right person that needs to hear this! 🩵💚
There are many kinds of art that you can do as acts of worship, devotion, and offering. Let it be painting, photography, dance, and poetry. Even writing appreciation blogs can be counted as offerings as long as your intention is genuine!
Any forms of art is never a problem with the condition of you being the one who create the art and not others... because then, the offering would not be from you, but from the hands of the true creator.
Though, if the art is something you must buy, like a ready-made product in Home Depot, then it cannot be helped. You might have the thought of, 'Wow! This (object) is so cute! I wanna buy it for Lord/Lady (name)!'
In this case, you need not think about it too much, simply buy it for your God/dess, and tell them about the special product you have purchased for them during your praying session. Why did you choose that specific object and why have you bought it for them. Regardless of the price, as long as your heart is genuine and your intentions are pure, the Gods/Goddesses will be pleased.
'But what if they do not like my offering?' You might thought.
Well, in my experiences, Lord Apollon has never throw a fit over the offering I once presented him, which is a phone strap made by real stones associated with him. However, when I presented the strap to him, it fell off and broke! But the wise Lord Apollon was not angry. Rather, he waited for me to finish my prayer, and only afterwards did he have me notice about the fallen strap. The next day, I immediately fixed it and presented it to him once again, but in a better shape, using better equipments.
So, do not worry about whether your offering(s) will please the Gods and Goddesses or not. They listen and understand. Some followers even said that Hellenic Gods and Goddesses are very well known to be chill in relaxing times, but are also stern if they must be.

I never expected this year's winter would be so harsh... I have nothing prepared in my apartment for a weather below 10°C, and my heater broke!
As someone who dresses in alternative fashion, my wardobe only consists of petticoats, dresses, stockings, and slippers. So naturally, I thought I would die from hypothermia, and this would be the last winter I see.
But a few days before the weather became too unbearably cold, I got a message from the dry-cleaning place that my winter blanket (the thickest one I had) could be picked up earlier than the promised date. I instantly rushed to the place and was able to keep myself warm at home despite no heaters. How lucky, I thought.
But of course, I cannot shut myself in my apartment all season. I have a job to do and rent to pay! So despite the coldness, I wore my winter dress and headed out for work. But like I've said, this year's winter is harsher than usual. Therefore, even my petticoat couldn't save me from the freezing temperature.
A very funny thing happened though, a friend of mine suddenly came up to me on my way to the workplace, and gifted me stockings with heating technology that can keep my legs and feet warm. When I wore it outside, it was very comforting. How lucky, I thought again.
However, these series of 'luck' became all too suspicious when the scheduled days I must go to work would always be aligned with the weather being warmer. And when the day is cold, the moment I step outside my apartment, light would always be present to give me warmth as I wander outside the snow covered city.
Being ✨️blessed✨️ with an artistic mind means that you won't be able to sleep at 3am because your brain is busy thinking about TOO MANY IDEAS THAT ARE TOO PERFECT TO BE FORGOTTEN YET YOU NEED TO SLEEP BECAUSE YOU HAVE THINGS TO DO IN THE MORNING.
LIKE SLEEEEEEPPPP BRAIN, SLEEEEEPP!!!! WHY ARE 🥰🫵YOU🫵🥰 NOT GETTING TIRED?!!!
Particularly, is one of the food that is heavily associated with Lord Apollon, and is often offered to Him.
I hated honey... but after worshipping Lord Apollon for a few weeks, I had the sudden craving to eat honey again despite knowing how unpleasant it'd taste to me.
Nevertheless, I bought a small bottle of honey and tried it again. To my surprise, even the cheap honey tasted very sweet; just to my liking.
Then I bought a more expensive bottle; a different brand, and it was delicious!
I do not know what had happened. I used to hate every honey, every brand -- cheap and expensive -- but I guess Lord Apollon has successfully convinced me otherwise.
Using The Lyre Harp for Worshipping (My Experience)
Did you know that there are followers of Lord Apollon who purposely bought and learned the lyre for worship? Well, I am one of them, and in this blog, I want to tell you about my experiences of learning the lyre.
What has changed in my life? Is it better or worse after playing the lyre?
How do I learn the lyre? Is it okay to play the lyre terribly as an act of devotion?
What are my challenges in owning the lyre? How do I fix it?
I will be answering these questions as I go through this blog. I hope you will enjoy reading it!
Where I Bought My Lyre
So, I first bought my lyre from the internet (online shopping), and made sure that the lyre was not a toy.
I believe that there are many new Helpols out there; especially teens; who have mistakenly bought a toy lyre instead of a real one, and ended up wasting a lot of money on nothing.
Lyres are expensive. Please be careful with your money!
If you are also someone who wish to buy a lyre online, there are many good brands out there that you can search for before buying the lyre, as well as several things to note about on which lyre to buy.

Personally, I chose the bowl body, deer shaped, 21 stringed, built with Mahogany Wood, and tuned it into Dorian Mode. (there are two types of modes: Dorian and Aeolian, you must know this!)
For the delivery experience, I must say it was quick. Unfortunately, I became too impatient, so it felt like an eternity for me, while in truth, the delivery took merely 3 days to arrive.
My First Ever Mistake and Challenges
Most lyres that are online will not be tuned, so I had to tune it myself with a tuner. But as I was too hasty, I snapped two of my strings the moment I played it; I was not aware that one must be extremely careful when tuning. Moreover, tuning takes up to 4 days! Meanwhile, I tried doing it in one!
When tuning the strings, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE STRINGS ARE NEW, do not immediately try to reach the high note in one go. Tune it little by little, and let the string stretch for about a day or two. Then, try tugging on the strings lighty to check if it stretched, only then may you continue to tighten it until it reached its designated tune.
Anyways, only after I was able to replace the strings that I could finally start playing the lyre comfortably (which took me more than a week and waaayy too much money, so make sure that you do not snap your strings!).
What Changed In My Life After I Started Playing The Lyre?
I must say, a lot.
I had to learn how to read music, how to play them, understand beats, rythms, play styles, and many many more! Soon, I became obsessed with the instrument and would stay up till 3AM practicing it.

I was completely new, empty headed, and just starting off on my first day on becoming a Lyre Harp Player. This channel was my go-to!

I love to sing The Orphic Hymn to Lord Apollon whilst playing the lyre. It took me quite some time to be able to play it, and even then, my fingers would slip and I'd make a wrong note.
Though, the Lord forgives.
I imagine He appreciates it more that I have at least decided to learn His instrument - though rusty - than to be too afraid of messing up and ends up quitting the lyre entirely.
Sometimes, something magical would also happen!
When I play the instrument, the sun would shine brighter and I'd get a friendly visit by a Raven (bird) with a loud call.
Warmth and light would also somehow, one way or another, always find their way to reach me despite me sitting under a shade, or being indoors.
One time, I was playing the lyre in a dark room with no way the sunlight would be able to see me. But guess what? The sunlight suddenly shone onto my neighbour's window and flashed right into my eyes when I least expected it.
This has never happened before I started worshipping Lord Apollon with the lyre. My prayers, as a new follower, were often heard, but I never experienced anything like these before.
My sleep schedule has also been better after I started playing the lyre! I'd rarely have nightmares too!
I feel so blessed, seen, heard, and guided by Lord Apollon. Hail Lord Apollon!

Hello everyone! I am new to Tumblr, and yes, this is my very first post -- ever! I hope to share my experiences and lifestyle through blogs, while also learning from fellow worshippers in return :)
The reason why I want to share this blog, is because I am aware that -- just like me -- there are people who wish for altars but are unable to obtain them due to various difficulties. For my situation, I live in a dorm. Thus, I cannot build altars.

1) ☀️Simple Prayers☀️
It is the truth, that we do not need altars for household prayers. This applies to all Gods and Goddesses. However, it is still advisable to follow the traditional mannerisms to pray. Here is how I do it:
✨️I wash my hands, face, and change my clothes before the prayer. Some worshippers bathe as it aligns with their daily routine. But I don't have time to bathe in the morning, so I wash with a towel.
✨️There are positions that One must remember to pray to certain types of Gods and Goddesses, but in most household worship, simply resting a hand over your heart/chest shall suffice. Though, I do the open-hand, facing towards the sun position because I worship Lord Apollon. Only when I am incapable to do this position, will I place a hand over my heart and sit on the bed.
✨️Then, I start my prayer! Personally, I go with this one below, and it has worked for me. It might be different from each worshipper as we all have different needs and wants, but, my formatting still follows the formal way to household worship.
2) ☀️Arts & Lucky Charms☀️
Because I worship Lord Apollon, I do Art as one of my ways of worship. Oil painting, digital art, sketching, etc... Currently, I am working on an oil painting piece that shows light, shadows, and the beauty of an enlightened sky that represents Lord Apollon very much.
I have also recently crafted a lucky charm from real gemstones, crystals, and precious stones associated to Lord Apollon. I thought about bringing a lucky charm with me would help me with protection, and it is also easier to do this way because lucky charms can be hung from bags, phones, wallets, etc... It is practical, and convenient!

3) ☀️Listening/Playing/Singing to the Orphic Hymns☀️
I play the (21 Stringed) Lyre Harp for hobby and worship. Although I am not a good singer, I enjoy singing the hymns. It is not perfect either, as the English used in the lyrics are often tongue-twisty for a Non-Native English Speaker like me... But I do try my best, and genuinely have fun. I think, the most important part about worship is to have fun while being in an relaxed state of mind. Instead of dreading over perfecting my music skills, prayers, and singing, I chose to learn it as I go through each day.
Belive me when I say, that it took me more than a month to finally be able to perfect Lord Apollon's Orphic Hymn on my Lyre! While your opinion might say it is slow, the most important part is that I had fun practicing and eventually got better nevertheless.
