Ok so after some thought this was an incredibly brave and smart move. This way, they can finally use the EED in the state trial if it proceeds to that, and put the healthcare insurance system on trial. I might be biased but even his very short statement today was very impactful and moving for me. Like he got a response within 1 hour from health insurance execs about money, fastest response he’s ever received, even compared to his own health journey and treatments.., that says a lot about the state of the healthcare system in America.
Another possibility is that it doesn’t go to trial because of double jeopardy and that would be a win for him.
Either way this was a smart move because he could get away with just 25 years for ALL these charges. And released early on good behavior.

anyone in his inner circle is definitely devastated. guys from gilman only said nice stuff about him, they probably think of him fondly. his family on the other hand; i can’t even began to imagine their pain. ik his exes get a lot of crap but this must be so fucking hard for them to go thru, i hope all those involved find peace and strength.

Hello everyone, this is Light, producer of Morimens.
Over the past few months, a great many Keepers have told us about places where our systems could use an update. Thank you to everyone who took part in our surveys and left feedback — you've been an enormous help in improving the game! Now, after finally carving out a bit of time from development hell, our team has taken a deep look at the game and drafted an initial direction for future updates.
I'd like to share the issues we've identified and our draft plans with you in the form of a devlog. Since there's a lot to cover, these adjustments will be rolled out across several minor updates within the V2.6 major version. As always, we're looking forward to your feedback in this thread, and we may make any necessary adjustments during implementation.
## [Operation]
- As Morimens has grown, every Keeper's strategic skill, progress, and character strength can vary wildly. On the very same unforgettable story stage, some players will try everything until their palms sweat, while others can clear it effortlessly on Auto. The more we emphasize freedom in how you progress through the game, the more this disparity stands out, and we've come to feel we can no longer avoid rethinking it.
- At our 2nd anniversary, we tried lowering the difficulty of the main story and ran into pushback from some of our more hardcore players. We completely understand — while lowering the difficulty is friendlier to newer players, it genuinely costs them some of the unique challenge that makes Morimens what it is. Losing that experience to a mismatch in difficulty is a real shame. Now we've finally settled on an approach: instead of us deciding, on everyone's behalf, what the "right" average difficulty should be, we're handing that choice over to you.
- "Hard" will no longer be a separate mode — it becomes a difficulty you can freely choose for each individual combat stage.
- When challenging a stage on "Hard," if you haven't yet cleared that stage on "Normal," the "Normal" difficulty's story content will not be skipped.
- Clearing a stage on "Hard" also counts as clearing the corresponding "Normal" difficulty — you'll simultaneously receive the Evaluation, Stage Achievement, and Hidden Resource rewards for it as well.
## [Regional D-Effect Zone]
- The Regional D-Effect Zone is one of the most challenging pieces of endgame content. However, more and more Keepers have been breaking past the reward threshold we set back when it launched — even the highest tier of challenge has seen a growing number of single-turn clears. On one hand, that's proof that everyone has genuinely gotten stronger, and we're proud of that. But it also means we need tougher opponents! And, of course, more rewards!
- On the other hand, we don't want the Regional D-Effect Zone's list of difficulty tiers and rewards to keep growing until it becomes impossible to parse and read. So we've decided that compressing the difficulty tiers is the better path forward: we'll keep the original stages and rewards in the first half, and place the new stages and rewards in the second half.
- To help everyone deal with all manner of harsh conditions, we're also lifting the restriction on using Emergency Gnosis inside the Regional D-Effect Zone. With Emergency Gnosis to back you up, you'll be able to take on the toughest conditions more boldly, with much less worry about having to drop down a difficulty and restart.
### Normal
- Recommended Level for Waves 1–5: 44/48/52/56/60. Training Points to clear: 50/60/70/80/90.
- Rewards unlocked from 50–350 Training Points: Gnosis Fragment ×50, Silver ×1250, Black Offering ×7500.
### Hard
- Recommended Level for Waves 1–5: 64/68/72/76/80. Training Points to clear: 60/70/80/90/100.
- Rewards unlocked from 360–400 Training Points: Refined Gnosis Fragment ×25, Black Offering ×7500, Formless One's Gift Card ×50, Rose Scrip ×1,500,000.
### Nightmare
- Recommended Level for Waves 1–5: 82/84/86/88/90. Training Points to clear: 70/80/90/100/110.
- Rewards unlocked from 410–450 Training Points: Refined Gnosis Fragment ×25, Silver ×1250. This is a brand-new reward compared to the previous version.
### Madness
- Recommended Level for Waves 1–5: 92/94/96/98/100. Training Points to clear: 80/90/100/110/120.
- Rewards unlocked from 460–500 Training Points: Formless One's Invitation ×5. This is a brand-new reward compared to the previous version.
### Emergency Gnosis
- You can now use Emergency Gnosis to help you get through challenges in the Regional D-Effect Zone!
- Training Points earned from a clear achieved with Emergency Gnosis can only be used to claim rewards — they will not count toward the leaderboard.
## [Hectic Skybound Rail]
- Hectic Skybound Rail is the closest thing to a true roguelike in our map design. Even though a full run takes quite a while to complete, we've seen many Keepers reach the max Train Upgrades level of 50 early on and tell us it wasn't quite satisfying enough — so we've decided it's time to expand this mode!
### Train Upgrades
- The max level is being raised from 50 to 100!
- The added levels can grant up to Refined Gnosis Primer ×1, Silver ×2500, and Rose Scrip ×3,750,000.
### Final Stage
- On "Madness" difficulty only, completing the Stage 3 challenge unlocks an additional Final Stage.
- This stage features only the final boss, Tawil — defeating her grants an additional VIP Points ×1500.

Empires and opium collide once again at revamped Bukit Chandu museum (Photos)
Long before it connected a port to Google’s local HQ and hiking spots, Pasir Panjang Road hosted a buzzing plant where opium was packed and distributed to keep the city’s dens awash in smoke and dream.
Nothing much remains of that past except for the 91-year-old bungalow that housed the plant’s British staff and later became the backdrop of a fierce World War II battle. Come Thursday, the public will get to step inside once again when its museum reopens with not just war stories, but also its less-celebrated opium heyday.
Perched atop the former Bukit Chandu, or opium hill in Malay, visitors can find new installations in the Reflections at Bukit Chandu following its first makeover in 15 years. This building was nearly demolished over a decade ago, but ended up being conserved following public outcry.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes before making the trip. For those taking public transportation, I recommend taking the train to the Pasir Panjang MRT station and hiking up the hill from the Pepys Road entrance. Found carpark C? That’s the exact spot where Lt. Adnan Saidi and his comrades were overrun by invading Japanese forces in 1942. The colonial mansion sits just above.
Cast iron busts of the national hero and other soldiers mark the entrance to the museum. Visitors entering the bungalow will be greeted by what is believed to be the only available film footage of Adnan, followed by exhibitions of the Malay Regiment’s uniforms, weapons, and tool kits – which include buttons, sewing materials, and shaving tools. There’s a room next door where visitors can take in an animated and narrated telling of the battle of Pasir Panjang. A topographic map printed on the floor indicates the movement of the invading imperial troops after they made landfall to the northwest. Japanese and British weapons are on display here along with spent ammunition dug up from the battlefield. Next door, a wall is dedicated to the more than 100 Malay soldiers, as is another bust of Adnan.
Upstairs, visitors will see a replica opium packing machine along with scales for weighing, wooden containers, and foil tubes to depict what it might have looked like inside the factory. Original photos of old rehabilitation clinics, opium dens, and drug paraphernalia were also on exhibit.
Opium use was encouraged by the British government when they ruled Singapore, earning huge profits for the colonial power and placing an untold number under the yoke of addiction. The drug was later banned, and users thrown into jail.
Just outside the opium exhibit, visitors can rest in a lounge area where the bungalow’s former British residents used to hang out and look out to the sea. The sea view has since been obstructed by new development and trees.
