Based on a true story. Adapted for Mi Na and Issa and thank the Lord I think I finally finalized Issa’s design. More or less.

I’m gonna try to post daily this month, at the very least I’ll post daily on my baby of an Instagram page. I already posted today’s comics (Issa’s Intro and Mi Na’s Intro) on Tumblr hence the Insta link. Happy Inktober, please enjoy some gay comics (word nuance!)

It feels nice...

I drew this with and without frames. My focus group/writing group seemed to prefer frames, so here you go. Also I’m practicing with color....I think I learned how to make it better next time.

Posting character design practice because Issa is going to look kinda different between the last comic and future ones.

I forgot to color in Issa’s hair and want to posts this before Pride Month ends (I’ll edit it and add the panels with her hair colored later....)

I kinda scrawled this as the deadline for my writing group was coming up. Not my proudest strip, but it’s pride week so here we go

Mi Na has no filter. Be careful what you ask for...

Sidenote: In my ‘focus circle’ (writing group) people pointed out, “Why does Mi Na only do accounting work in summer, is she the bread winner or is Issa? Etc” As mentioned in my last post I may redo these intros. Things have fluctuated since I drew these panels. But the loose idea is... Mi Na comes from a relatively well off family. She teaches PE in the school year and works for a seasonal company in the summer. Issa worked at a bookstore but eventually leaves for a higher paying job. She’s slightly the ‘breadwinner’ as she earns more than Mi Na, but not by much.

Second piece: An intro of sorts for a series I wan to do called Shades. This project may be put on hold for a while because I’m getting more pulled into my ace/lesbian couple at the moment. *Nervous laughter* by the time I get around to Shades my style will probably look super different...

These were actually drawn prior to my last two posts (the Water Polo story arc, if you will). The first comic here is of said couple. The second comic here is entirely independent.
