I learned that Ayrton loved italian food so much that when he was at McLaren he would go to the Minardi motorhome just to grab a plate of pasta and go back at McLaren with his plate of pasta and that is fucking adorable

He learnt from close friend and photographer Angelo Orsi, who always invited Ayrton to dinner at his house whenever F1 was in Italy, that if you eat a plain, white plate of pasta you have the right energy but you feel light, and he went on to do that for every race ever since then. And in the video where this was, there’s also Angelo’s wife who says -When Ayrton used to come to Italy for GPs, he’d ring us every time and tell me “Toss the pasta, I’m coming for dinner!”, we just loved Ayrton like a son, he used to help my son do his homework and would spend the evenings at our house playing old F1 cassettes, you know? Normal stuff, but we just loved him-
