A letter arrives a very important letter, just to get tossed in the trash? But later fished out and he hoped no one would notice.
“Why does it matter if I go or not? Besides, we have good arcane academies here.”
“Mahir, this is an amazing opportunity for you sweetie. It’s one of the most prestigious schools in all of twisted wonderland, imagine all that you could learn there!”
“You mean by getting harassed by a haughty nobles?”
“I don’t even fit in with most humans here! Why would this make a difference? Besides I’ve already learned so much on my own with just my brothers help.”
“Plus, I’ve never been out of our town. What if I can’t manage, what if I Don’t-!”
“MAHIR!” He reels back, startled as he shrinks “sorry, mom.” Rani pats his head, “I understand you’re scared. It’s never easy leaving your friends behind, but I assure you they will be here when you come back.”
“That’s not- I am not- people don’t-“ he groans in frustration, an takes a breath as he tries to continue. “What if I don’t belong there or anywhere for that matter, people already look at me sideways when I’m with all of you.” She strokes the top of he’s hand with her thumb,
“I believe that you can belong anywhere. I mean there are people here that love you, even though you’re different, so I don’t doubt for even a moment that there won’t be more who will absolutely adore you.” She scoops him into a big hug, “your family certainly does.” 
 after a while, he ruminates on the conversation thinking about it, running it over it over in his head a dozen times for what felt like hours.
Before flipping the letter over in his hands and smiling they picked him out of what? thousands if not a hundreds of applicants for this. He might as well see what happens.
I finally finished redesigning? Honestly more so remaking.
my twisted wonderland oc and I think he’d be an interesting addition to RSA it took me a while to get the design right, but after I did, I just couldn’t stop drawing him then I gave him a family and the rest of it just sort of flowed from there.
I especially like the hairstyle it was more combining inspirations for what the hairstyle could have been because I went for the movie, the book, and that other movie and kind of smoosh them together into a wolf cut type deal 🥰 my son I adore you!!!
