👉👉 Legally Obligated to tell tumblr about Kaleidoscope Valley I think
Kaleidoscope Valley is an original work that's going to (one day) come to life as a comic thanks to the amazing @cosmiccatkat !!!
It takes place in a wild west setting with magic and is about six kids in a small town where magic disappeared trying to uncover the truth when one of them realises she can still see traces of it.
They're all from different places in and around the town and each have their own problems to sort out and come together over, especially as a mysterious illness starts affecting the mythically inclined beings in town, which includes four of them.
Catalyst of bringing them all together is Riley Shepherd! She can see magic but doesn't know why and is kept sheltered from the world by her father who dispises all forms of magic so she has to fight and sneak around to learn anything.
Her first friends are two exiled were-coyote brothers: Ethan and Terran who hang around the outskirts of town. They're more adventurous than Riley and help her be brave enough to actually look for answers. Of course, they have their own secret reasons for being interested.
The city kids also get roped into the action one by one, starting with the Sheriff's daughter Theresa. She's been curious about the disappearance of magic and strikes out on her own when her father tells her his hands are tied to make sure justice is served. Sophie, meanwhile, a gorgon socialite and underword information broker is involved very much to Theresa's displeasure. Surely she has some sinister motive.

Oh, you wanna know more about the harpy boy Robin? So does everyone! (Except for Sophie, who knows everything.) But his motives only seem mysterious because he usually just kind of does whatever he feels like doing. And what he likes doing is making friends, uncovering secrets and solving problems! He has luck on his side, literally! Probably the only reason he ever managed to befriend the elusive Sophie. Buuut he is not above messing with people on occasion XD
(Also: Weathermage. Secretly the best character.)
Comics take A LOT of work so it is a slow process but I am so HYPED for it!!! We worked on the story together and I do the writing and then provide reference thumbnails so @cosmiccatkat knows what the hell I'm trying to describe XD and by now Cat has also done some thumbnails and AAAA!! THEY'RE SO GOOD YOU GUYS!!!
