This is a reference to the fact that Kyogre and Groudon are always salty at one another
I love this reel that the official Pokemon company posted because of the dishes. Eeveelution cupcakes for Penny. Pawmi dish for Nemona. Sandwiches for the player character and their 'raidon. Arven loves his friends bro...
Mild spoilers for the postgame of the mega dimension dlc! This spoiler is about something Corbeau says in a mission that starts after you've already beaten the final boss.
"He was the boss of an organization from Kanto" ... is he talking about Giovanni? It would make sense... And Giovanni would know a lot about the Johto region because of GSC/HGSS. Knowing about Hoenn myths isn't too far of a stretch for Giovanni, I think. (I never finished the gen 3 games so I don't know for sure)
If Corbeau was raised by Giovanni, the whole mafia motif and the aesthetic of the Rust Syndicate office being described as inspired from a far off region makes so much sense!
Thought this was a really cool tidbit of lore.
Hmm, I wonder how Silver would feel about this information...
jacinthe really deserves better from the fandom, she's no worse than crow boy or war crimes grandpa

Did you know you can buy the exact same shoes that Corbeau has??
They're available at Masterpiece at Galerie de la Lune! They come in four different colors with varying price tags.
Guess which one is the color Corbeau has...
Pokemon OC infodump: Hana and Jun
Art references at the bottom of the post!
Hana (she/her) is a friend-insert of my buddy @cerisecurseblogs. I made the character and was like "hey so this is like, you but as a character for my Pokemon fan story," and she helped a LOT with the visual elements of Hana's design (as in she came up with everything and I just drew it).
Hana was born in Humilau City of the Unova region. She met a Psyduck at Floccesy Ranch when she was 5 years old, and they became friends, so Hana's father caught Psyduck for Hana. Hana nicknamed her Rika, and she was later given to Hana as her first partner Pokemon when Hana was old enough to get a Trainer ID. Rika has not evolved and plans to never evolve, because she thinks her evolved form, Golduck, looks ugly. Hana's journey first began at 15 years old when Professor Burnet visited Humilau City, gave Hana the rare chance to pick an Alolan starter Pokemon, and encouraged her to enroll in Blueberry Academy. Thus, Hana set out with Rika and her newly obtained Poppilo, Cora, on her Pokemon journey.
Hana likes to relax with her Pokemon and overall has a laid-back personality, which she shares with Rika. She doesn't care about Pokemon battles that much, and instead, she participates in Pokemon Contests--her knowledge in aesthetics and style helps her a lot in her endeavours as a Coordinator, as well as her skill for baking Poffins and Poke Puffs. She is blunt yet charming, and she is very well-liked by others, even those who are known to be standoffish or on their guard, such as Arven or Corbeau. Hana often accompanies Jun (my self-insert) on their adventures, and she relies on Jun to do most of the Pokemon battles when they are together. However, Hana is capable enough to defend herself in battle (if she has to).
Hana has a way with others and often helps Jun out in her own, unconventional ways (ex. She unknowingly saved Jun from the wrath of the Rust Syndicate by flirting with Corbeau).
The Pokemon she has by the time she meets Jun are Psyduck, Popplio, Snubbull, and Morpeko. When Hana meets Jun, they help her catch a Clodsire, who becomes Hana's fifth Pokemon.
Zhaojun "Jun" Lin/林昭君 (they/them) is my self-insert.
Jun was born in Ecruteak City of the Johto region about a year after Hana was born. They obtained a Cyndaquil, who they nicknamed Cyndie, when they visited Professor Elm's lab at 12 years old to receive their first partner Pokemon and a Trainer ID. Cyndie evolved into Quilava while Jun was travelling in the Johto region, but for her own reasons, she isn't ready to evolve into Typhlosion. Meeting Cyndie was the start of Jun's Pokemon journey.
Jun loves everything about Pokemon, preferring their company over the company of other humans. They know a lot about Pokemon behavior and biology, which they pride themself upon, and they love to travel across various regions to keep learning more about them. Jun also loves the thrill and fun of Pokemon battles, and they are usually awkward and aloof around people if they are not battling them. They just like battling for fun, but some individuals have greatly praised them for their battling skills, such as Nemona and Jacinthe. Although Jun is capable of speaking for themself, they leave most of the social interaction to Hana when they are together.
Jun often stumbles into thrilling adventures or other life-threatening situations, accidentally dragging whoever's with them along for the ride (ex. One time they and Hana got stuck in the Distortion World).
The Pokemon they have by the time they meet Hana are Quilava, Quagsire, Espeon, and Galvantula.
Above are sketches of Hana, Jun, and their respective partner Pokemon. (I put Hana's surname as "Inoue" here, but I'm thinking of making it something different since she's Unovan).
Hana and Jun both attended Blueberry Academy at the same time (Hana enrolled one year before Jun), but they didn't officially meet and befriend one another until they were both in the Paldea region for their exchange student semesters at Mesagoza Academy (my version of Naranja/Uva Academy). During their first meeting, Jun and their Quagsire help Hana catch a Clodsire.
Maybe I'll post more lore about these two later...
