I think I might be asexual, or at least grey asexual. I have tried masturbating but felt nothing and no real urge to continue. I am occasionally turned on by fanfiction but never by real people. I am really scared by the idea of sex and am not looking forward to being an age where having it is the norm. I'm just really confused and I don't know if I'm just still young and that's why I'm not feeling sexual attraction (even though I kind of am) and I just don't know. What do you think this is?
I don't know your age, but I'll assume here that you're past puberty. If not, then you might not be sexually differentiated yet and it would be premature to judge. To give some relavent terms a brief recap, asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction/desire, and sexual desire is a want to have sex. Mind the step there; sexual desire is only the desire to have sex, not the desire to talk, cuddle, look, or be friends with. If there is anyone you feel sexual desire towards, then you are not asexual. Your actual sex drive or libido level doesn't have an implicit impact on your sexuality. Fear of sex is a common enough condition across all sexualities, particularly in virgins and young people. It doesn't mean you are asexual/greysexual, but neither does it mean you aren't. Once more, if you ever feel sexual desire you aren't asexual, but that doesn't always mean you are sexual. If you feel sexual desire much less frequently than is normal for your demographic then you could be greysexual, and that would be just fine. Whatever your sexuality, is isn't anything to be ashamed of, and no one will think less of you based on your chosen label. If you have not experienced puberty then I would advise that you forestall judgement for the moment, but you are free to make whatever personal decision you desire.
