Since today I wired the money to kill the mortgage, I finished off the bottle I bought to celebrate closing the condo 8 years ago. My high school Latin teacher told me "ad astra per aspera" which roughly means "to the stars through hard work." I am thankful for tonight, and eager to find my next challenge and encounter the hardships it will bring. I am especially thankful for all the people who put up with me for the past year.
