Trying my best to be a writer

So as we know the cowherds are gonna be mio, luca and Ren. I've seen some people say that this lineup is boring but i'm actually really excited about it. Ren and mio are definitely two of my favorites and it's been a long time since we've seen Ren and luca in an episode! In fact, luca has never been on an inter house mission, so he's never been able to shine without Kaito. I'm curious to see how he'll do.

I LOVE REN SHIRANAMI hes so cute and I hope he complains a lot. I want a "this is the worst" every chapter I will never get tired of it. I hope he gets super flustered from something because I miss seeing his face turn all pink because of MC. Ren I miss you please come home. I also hope we get an interaction like this:

Ren: I didnt even want to show up to this stupid festival in the first place

Ritsu: oh mr shiranami, there you are. It's unfortunate that our plans fell through because you were picked to be a cowherd.

So I find it interesting that episode 18 (the og star festival) was the first mention of clockwork anomalies and how they work to the audience (explained by Haru) and now Mio is a cowherd. I'm hoping for Mio to give us paragraphs of explanations of his inventions because he gets secretly excited about it.

So let's compare last year's star festival to this year. What has changed? Let's talk about the Sky King's riddle because I guarantee it's going to be different. It would be bad writing if it was the exact same. It could still be a riddle where it forces the cowherds and weaver to explore the different booths at the festival. But we're going to see different activities with different ghouls from last year. Then we get to see what all the other ghouls are up to. And then there's an anomaly we gotta take down.

Last time, Ren and Luca actually both attended the star festival with Ritsu and Kaito respectively. I think both of them will still be at the festival and they might show up as guest stars. I feel like there's no way we don't see Kaito he's always showing up. Also he's not one to miss out on a festival. Ritsu i dont know because we just saw him in deadly in love so who knows but I hope he shows up cuz I love him and Ren.

As for the cowherds from last year, let's start with Subaru. He explained that because he was picked as a cowherd that he couldn't do his captain duties, which was basically being the festival manager. It was also Lyca's first ever festival and he'll probably want to spend it with Subaru, but he's busy so idk. Lyca might still show up but he might be alone which will be very sad 😔😔 I never know what Towa's gonna do. It's whatever he feels like doing. Maybe he'll wanna be at Jabberwock. Maybe he'll wanna hang out with Haru. Lots of options. Lastly, I think Zenji might stick with managing the festival with Haku and Subaru, so we might not see him. Or secret option, in Zenji's star festival Warding card, he actually watches Jiro and Yuri play this shooting game. So maybe he'll stick with the Mortkranken ghouls this time around. We don't need him to explain the story behind the star festival since we already got that in episode 18. Also zenji worked without haku in this episode because towa can see zenji and subaru is at least aware of zenjis existence as a ghost. But neither luca nor ren even knows who zenji is so it'll be kinda awkward if he tagged along.

Now, the guest stars. There were a decent amount in episode 18, so I imagine there will be a lot this time too. There are people I want to see show up so we'll see if it happens 👀

Haru + the Dionysia ghouls: So the first time around, Elias was helping with deliveries at Haru's booth. But now, Dionysia could have their own booth (what if Jo ran some sort of fashion booth 👀) and Elias needs to help them instead. I think because Mio is a cowherd, it's likely we could see all three Dionysia ghouls. Tho idk if Shion would like it in a place where everyone is so happy. And Haru's my favorite so we're definitely gonna see him too (i'm not coping). But also it'd make sense if haru and towa showed but because ren's a cowherd

Alan + Sho: so last time these two had a B plot where two general vagastrom students were running a booth and alan had to help them out. Sho was sort of involved but he was mostly helping out the mystery diner anomalies. But more importantly, alan got lost in the spirit world. I dont know if we're gonna see these two specifically again, but I am really hoping they expand more on the lore of the spirit world. Also the fact that luca has a monster that acts like a spirit guardian idk i think some things could get explained. If the riddle doesn't involve going to different booths, i'm praying it means we get to do something in the spirit world.

Yuri + Jiro: PLEASE I miss mortkranken 😔😔 I would love for these two to help out with the riddle in some way. And then if zenji was there too that would be so perfect.

Leo + Romeo: i'm mostly including these two because it's been 80 years since we've seen them in an episode. Like where have you been loca?? But idk if they really fit the vibe of the star festival. Could be content for leo tho and romeo did have a booth (even if he wasnt there himself)

Tohma: I miss him. Theres no reason for him to show up i just want him to have a break from jin. Also Luca's gonna be there so like idk it makes sense... right...?

Subaru + haku: maybe we get like a little cameo from these two, either alone or together. Quite honestly, i dont want to see haku i'm sick of him. Subaru, would love to see how he's managing the festival. Or he still finds a way to show up with lyca. Don't need to see either of them though but they'll definitely be at the festival.

Zayne and xavier British accents omg someone hold me istg xavier sounds exactly like qifrey. I always loved xavier's VA I thought he was underrated in the community

And omg sylus looks like a detective! and mc pushing sylus against the doorframe cuz she kissed him so hard omggg sylus's mc has a special place in my heart

As a rafayel main i guess i have to watch titanic now. omg he's so protective oh to be held by rafayel. This cards gonna make me cryyy

Idk what movie Caleb's card is supposed to represent? Secret garden? Cuz hes in love with a ghost I get it but thats the only movie I can think of (also a doctor is a villain in that movie who is also in love with the ghost)

Other general things theres a part of me that wants this completely to be an AU and then theres a part of me that wants to see our Canon timeline MC and LI acting out the movies. Tho I think the second idea would be kind of hard to execute cuz then they gotta come up with a reason why theyre acting like why is this famous cardiac surgeon in a movie. Also i want the entire plot to focus on the movie itself i think that would be so much more fun.
