okay before anybody jumps me for this, i love patrick he just irritates me sometimes! i just wanted to write johnny × katie because johnnys my fav boy and katie's my fav girl—it might not be good because my first language isn't english oki thank yewww.
I've been sitting here watching Katie sleep peacefully for the last hour. Selfishly and so fucking shamelessly, I can't help but admire how beautiful she looks splayed out on my couch. Plus, I don't have the heart to wake her, not after the day she had.
l've been in love with her for as long as I can remember but she's dating my teammate, Patrick Feely. He didn't deserve her, he was a jerk and I know that I could treat her better than he would. She was busy working at the coffee shop all day and Patrick had come in drunk. The pain and embarrassment on her face when she realised he was intoxicated was a face I never wanted to see again. She clocked out early and said she didn't want to be alone so I brought her to my house where she's now sleeping on my couch.
Her soft lips part slightly as her chest rises and falls, finding comfort on my couch. The sight of her so comfortable fills me with a burning sense of protection that i've never felt before. I check the watch on my wrist-it's already 11:40pm. I need to get to bed but I can't leave her here on the couch.
I lean in close, my lips almost brushing her ear, "Katie." | whisper, "You need to get up." I feel her stir, her body shifting just as a soft whimper escapes past her lips. "Katie, come on." I whisper again, my fingers gently pushing her pretty curly redhair behind her ear.
Her eyes flutter open for a second before shutting again, "Go away." She mumbles and i bite my bottom lip to hold back a chuckle.
"Katie, you'll be more comfortable in bed." I murmur softly. I see her shift again and slowly sit up, huffing sleepily. "Come on, let's go to my room." I purr as she drops her head forward onto my stomach, too tired to keep it up.
I hesitate before my hands slowly brush through her soft curly hair, "You must be so tired" I coo, massaging her scalp lightly. I hear a soft moan come from her just as she pushes her face further into my stomach.
"So tired." She mumbles, her tiny hands coming up to grab my thighs to keep herself standing up. I smile and whisper softly, "Let me take you up to my bed then." She mumbles something under her breath but lets me lead her upstairs into my bedroom.
Once inside, she climbs onto my bed, curling up like a baby rabbit, her legs curled up beside her as she lay on her side. I grab the blanket and pull it up over her so she's covered and warm. I lean down and plant a gentle kiss to her temple, my lips staying on her skin for a second too long before i pull away.
Just as i turn to leave to let her sleep, she reaches out and wraps her tiny fingers around my wrist, "Stay.” I hear her mumble, almost fully asleep.
My lips curl up into a small smile and i chuckle quietly, "Alright." I pull her fingers off my wrist one by one gently so she doesn't wake fully then walk around to the other side of the bed and climb in beside her. I pull the blanket over me and curl around her, keeping her pressed against me completely.
The room was quiet except for the faint, steady sound of Katie's soft snores. Instead of disturbing the silence, the sound seemed to fill the room with warmth, a small reminder that she was safe and completely at ease.
The steady rhythm of her breathing and the comfort of being close to Katie made my eyes grow heavy and i slowly relax into a deep sleep, my legs tangled with hers and my arms curled around her, my front pressed to her back so closely like i'm trying to merge our bodies together.
