“Excuse me!” Beau squeaked as he attempted to push through the busy crowd of the Lockwood party. He was currently riding out an intense acid trip, hence why he momentarily thought he was merely picturing a rather coked out frat boy yelling at someone he recognized. “You took my fucking blow, I know it! You know how much that cost me?!” Beau could hear them from the other side of the party, already redirecting his frantic pushing to come to the rescue of the familiar face, cutting in with a quick, “Woah, woah!” Stepping between the two as soon as the frat boy raised his fist threateningly, Beau gave them a reassuring smile, hands held in front of him in surrender to show he meant no harm, “I’m sure this was all a mix up - no need for any unnecessary fighting! Right?” he asked, looking at the person he was currently stood in front of like a human meat shield with an insistent smile, hoping they would just follow his lead and remain calm.
Cori could only laugh at the drunken guy in front of her when hearing him accuse her of taking something like that. She wasn’t the type to touch anything like that, but the fact that he would think she did, she found it hilarious. She was fighting back with him until Beau stepped between the two of them. Rolling her eyes, she looked between them. “Dude is just fucked up and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. That’s all. You’re just wasting your time... both of you.” She stated before brushing past them and shoulder checking the frat guy and feeling him stumbling back. “You coming Beau, or?” Cori screamed over her shoulder.
“this is how i know society is failing: i speak three languages, have won multiple awards in my field, i’ve been working since i was fifteen in at least three different fields - i’m book smart, grew up in queens so i’m street smart too. throw in a sob story of family trauma and adding in white institutions wanting token brown people, colleges should have been beating down my door. but no, the best offer i’ve gotten in months was a guy on tinder offering to get me an apartment and pay my bills in exchange for letting him jack off on me twice a week. why pursue academia when i can just get a sugar daddy?”

Feels like she’s never good enough with anything, thanks to her parents. Mainly her father.
She could get a million straight A’s, but it never seems to be enough. He always expects more. This is a reason why she is constantly on edge with her work.
She rarely lets anyone see her work, unless it’s a professor or someone she had to be paired up with.
Although she can be a bit rough with some people, she is nice at times. She will have a conversation with you if you go ahead and show interest in talking to her. She will talk about almost anything as long as it catches her interest.
Is blunt. Will say anything that comes to her mind and won’t care if it ruins her friendships. She feels like it’s better to be out in the open instead of holding back.
Photography is the main thing she loves to do, but she loves doing a lot of other things as well. Which is why she’s a visual arts major, but she prefers taking pictures over anything else.
