yknow whats especially funny about the “can butches wear pink” thing is that pink (and red shades in general) used to be a male/masculine color and was actually used in a lot of lesbian pulp fiction to signify one woman as dominant/butch. flappers were also known to wear lots of pink because the fashion and subculture was very much meant to be rebellious, and as silly as it sounds now given modern concepts of femininity, a woman in a short cut pink dress and a bob was perceived as like offensively masculine
