"Ahhhhh!!!" A loud cry echoed through wooden walls earning an eye roll from Y/n.

Sighing, Y/n slowly walked towards the frightened boy whose eyes were as round as saucers.

"Yes?" She merely questioned.

"Where on earth am I?" He slowly sat up, careful not to touch the bed as if it was drowned with contagious substances, while (not so gracefully) kicking off the blanket with a disgusted expression.

"Don't show me that look," She reprimanded Jungkook as if he was a small child. "you brought this upon yourself. I clearly told you not to get so drunk." She simply spoke while reaching for the blanket on the cold floor to fold it up neatly.

"So?! You had to bring me to this dump?! What even is this place?" He stood up while dusting off his clothes in utter disgust.

"How am I supposed to bring you anywhere else and explain why you're floating unconsciously in thin air while trying to get a room?" She straightened up, shooting an annoyed look at the stupidity of the boy in front of her. "Plus, do you know how heavy you were to carry?! Be grateful at least."

"Whatever, I'm out of here." Jungkook grumbled as he stormed out of the small room, eager to get out of the dirty place.

"I can't believe this!" He softly grumbled under his breath, causing Y/n to snicker, finding his actions adorable.

He was currently in school, rummaging the library for a book to help him for his school presentation, while Y/n was humming sweetly on the table, finding his predicament absolutely hilarious.

This all started when he received a text from Taehyung on his way back.

'Dude where are you?! The presentation is due today, it's worth like 35% of your grade!"

Hence, Jungkook was now rushing to finish his presentation for the class that was starting in two hours.

"Yah! Stop laughing and help me!" He desperately called out causing Y/n to erupt into more laughter, annoying Jungkook tremendously.

"Why should I help you? I told you not to go clubbing yesterday." She had a teasing glint in her eyes that tortured Jungkook.

However, Jungkook was desperate. He could not fail this class. So he did what he had to do: he begged.

"Please Y/n, I'll do anything you want. Just help me this one time and I won't bother you again. I'm begging you." He knelt on the ground, bringing his hands together, pleading her desperately.

Y/n merely looked at the boy with a displeased expression. "Anything?"

Jungkook eagerly nodded his head as his last resort.

This urged Y/n to continue, slightly intrigued by his desperation. "Fine, if I help you, you have to stop skipping lessons and actually try in class."

Hearing this disheartened Jungkook. "Serious-"

"Take it or leave it." Y/n declared with finality, causing Jungkook to whine internally.

"Okay, okay! I'll go to class, just please help me with this presentation." He acceded before she could change her mind.

"How do you not even have a topic yet?!" Y/n proclaimed in surprise and disbelief.

"I'm sorry! I forgot about the entire thing." Jungkook poorly justified himself.

"Fine, do you even know what the presentation is about?"

"It's on genetic disorders. We just have to present on one condition." He meekly replied.

"Fine, can I have your syllabus?" She extended her hand out for the paper while she opened the computer.

"My what?" Questioned a confused Jungkook.

Sighing deeply, she shook her head. "Never mind, I'll just find it online."

Jungkook watched in amazement as she quickly opened up a document and skimmed through it knowledgeably. For some reason, he found his respect for her increasing and it was not just because she was helping him with his homework.

Y/n turned the computer towards him before continuing, shaking him from his reverie.

"Look here, you're currently here in the course, and following this topic is epigenetics so I propose that you choose a topic that has a strong base in genetics but include some recent findings linking it with epigenetics? How do you feel about that?" She faced him, wanting to know his opinions, only to see his lost expressions.

"Epi- what?"

"Okay, I'm going to start off with some of the basics and then we can brainstorm some of the genetic disorders you might want to do, but we do have to work a bit fast."

Wordlessly, Jungkook nodded as he got out a notebook for a spare piece of paper.

"Genetic disorders are conditions that are caused by faulty genes and/or mutations in the genetic composition of an individual. However, recent studies have shown that there are factors that can turn off or on genes. This is called epigenetics." Y/n slowly explained to him, making sure he wasn't feeling lost.

"Wait, so you can just turn on or off genes?"

"Yes, these factors affect how the genes are expressed. Therefore, even if you have a faulty gene for a genetic condition, if it is not expressed, you wouldn't have the genetic condition. Now, these factors can be inherited from previous generations and it can also be affected by the environment, making it a very promising region of study."

Y/n expertly drew images to help increase his understanding of this topic for Jungkook while she patiently explained it to him.

"I'm not too sure, but I think I understand it." Jungkook unconfidently stated, earning a small smile from Y/n.

"That's okay, since this is extra reading you don't have to be that confident about this. Let's just choose a disorder to present on. "

Y/n started scribbling some conditions, trying to understand what Jungkook was most familiar with.

"What the heck is alopecia and shizofrenia?" Jungkook questioned in bewilderment

"Alopecia is the medical term for baldness and that's schizophrenia. If you're not comfortable with those topics, there are other topics, how about colour blindness? Anemia? Down syndrome? Autism?"

"I know about Autism! My cousin has Autism." Jungkook eagerly voiced out, delighted about knowing about at least one condition.

"Perfect, let's do the presentation on Autism then. How about we get started with a plan and then you can start doing some research?"

Jungkook hummed in agreement as he shifted his chair closer to see the paper in which Y/n was writing on clearly. Resting his arm on the back of her chair, he leaned closer.

"I was thinking we could start with some basic information about Autism, the symptoms, a case study and it's background before moving onto the genetics aspect. Do you have anything you want to do?" She questioned lifting her head abruptly to face Jungkook.

However, the close proximity startled her, causing her to widen her eyes in shock. Noticing this, Jungkook sheepishly moved back, muttering a soft "sorry" before continuing. "Not really, I think the teacher really likes studies, so maybe we could include that?"

"I'm surprised you even know your teacher." Y/n joked, forcing Jungkook to roll his eyes at the statement.

"I've already agreed to go to class so stop nagging me."

"Fine, but don't you dare go back on your word." She emphasised before returning her attention back to the presentation. "Regarding the studies, I know about some twin studies and I think I remember a study on the correlation between DTT levels and Autism rates to emphasise that even though autism is fairly genetic, some environmental factors can affect autism."

"Isn't that enough?" Jungkook questioned, already exhausted by even thinking about all the reading he has to do.

"Come on, we haven't even got to the main part. I'll help you get through some of the reading so don't worry." Y/n insisted, sincerely wanting him to do a good job.

"Fine," He exasperatedly exclaimed, slouching on the wooden table in boredom. "What else is there to do?"

"Just expand on some genes that are already associated with Autism like the TBR1 gene and the ANDP gene. I assure you, read on like 6 genes and their chromosomal location and you'll definitely get an A+."

"Six?! I can't do that much!" Jungkook whined.

"Fine, five?"

"Three."

"4 it is." Y/n ended the negotiation, earning a sulk from Jungkook.

"Then you can just link this with epigenetics and determine whether any therapies like PECS can help decrease the severity of Autism to finish it off."

"Thank god it's ending."

"Oi, I'm helping you get a good grade!"

"Yeah, and I'm regretting asking you for help."

"I was not the one who was begging on his knees."

At Y/n's words, Jungkook cleared his throat with an embarrassed look.

"Well desperate times call for desperate actions."

At his sheepish look and words, Y/n burst into laughter, absolutely enjoying torturing the poor boy.

"DYRK1A gene has a chromosomal location of 21q22.13 and is essential in the process of producing an enzyme that is used in the development of the nervous system as it is involved in the formation and maturation of dendritic spines from dendrites. Additionally, I wanted to know more about how epigenetics can affect ASD. Therefore, here is a study on monozygotic twins in which one twin is a part of the autistic spectrum while the other twin isn't. Although this is rare, it highlights the importance of epigenetic factors like DNA methylation on Autism."

Jungkook finished off his presentation earning a huge thumbs up and an enormous smile from Y/n as she watched him from the side of the classroom. He softly smiled back, pleasantly surprised at himself too.

However, the classroom was left in a state of shock - not only did they not know Jungkook was even in this class, but they were also speechless at the detailed presentation he had just given. The teacher was left stupefied, too speechless to even comprehend this miracle.

As Jungkook awkwardly stared back at the class, the silence was interrupted by a slow yet sarcastic clap from the teacher who just recovered from her shock.

"Wow Mr. Jeon," She walked up to Jungkook with a conceited smile. "Did you think if you plagiarised someone else's work, you would just get away with it? At least make it more believable."

Silence loomed over the class at the teacher's words.

Jungkook scoffed in disbelief. "I'm sorry? You think I copied someone else's work?"

"I don't think, I know. There's no way someone like you produced that presentation."

"Someone like me? What's that supposed to mean?"

"I mean, someone who is lazy and dumb, someone who doesn't have the intelligence to produce something worthy."

"Wha-"

"I don't have time to waste. Follow me to the Headmistress' office."

Jungkook was annoyed yet confused. He didn't know what was even going on. As he exited the classroom, Y/n quickly followed behind him with a worried expression.

As she caught up with him, she softly reached out for his sleeve to stop him. "What is going on?"

"That stupid teacher thinks I used someone else's work. Wait till I show that teacher ho-" Jungkook's angry words were soon interrupted.

"Jungkook," Y/n softly called out, pausing his outrage for a second. "Getting angry won't help your case. Just remember everything you read, you did everything for this presentation. All I did was give you the sources, so prove to the Headmistress that the presentation was your work, okay?

Jungkook remained quiet for a while before softly muttering, "Thanks."

"Jungkook, this is a very serious accusation against you, especially for such an important presentation. We need to make sure that this is your work." The headmistress removed her glasses as she focused on Jungkook, slightly worried about the situation.

"I have cited all my references, and you have checked the internet. What more is needed?"

"Jungkook, your teacher has the right to feel suspicious based on your past record. She'll just ask you a few questions based on your presentation and if you can answer that, then it will be certain that this presentation is your work."

"Fine, go ahead."

The teacher obnoxiously cleared her throat before speaking. "You had mentioned a de novo mutation, what is that?"

"A de novo mutation is a mutation in the genetic code for the first time in the family, showing that it is not inherited and could be caused by polymorphisms."

"What is encephalopathy?" The teacher further questioned, a little taken back at the confidence in Jungkook's answers.

"It means damage to the brain that can cause confusion and a lack of intellectual abilities. It can be found in individuals with Autism.

"What disorders are under the ASD spectrum?"

"It includes classic autism, pervasive developmental disorder, and Asperger's syndrome." Jungkook's answers were quick and fluent, not at all affected by the current circumstances.

"What is the study conducted by Alan Brown at the University of Columbia?"

"It is a study conducted in Finland to identify is the levels of exposure of mothers to DTT can affect the rates of Autism. Although they found a positive correlation, they believe that the results should be repeated at least three times before they can confidently state the association between the two factors."

"What is epigenetics?"

"Epigenetics is the idea that there are factors like DNA methylation and acetylation that can determine whether or not a gene is expressed. This can play a role in the determination of whether the individual has a genetic disorder or not."

"What is Chromatin remodeling?"

"Chromatin remodeling is the changing of the structure of the chromatin which is a sequence of DNA and proteins which packs the DNA in chromosomes. When DNA is tightly packed, gene expression is lower than when DNA is loosely packed."

"What-"

"That is enough Mrs. Cha." The headmistress halted the teacher's interrogations.

"B-but I haven't sh-"

"It is clear to me that Mr. Jeon is well-read about this topic and I don't believe that he has plagiarised anyone's work. I think you can give him the grade he deserves."

At the definite tone of the headmistress, the teacher had no other option but to oblige the orders, internally annoyed at the fact that Jungkook got away.

"You may now go back to class."

As the teacher turned back to the exit, Jungkook's words stopped her in her place.

"Headmistress, I still have a complaint…" Jungkook paused to smirk sinisterly at the teacher while the Headmistress raised an eyebrow at Jungkook's words. "I understand that the teacher may have suspicions regarding my work but I don't believe that she has the right to verbally demean me in front of the whole class."

"Could you expand on that, Jungkook?"

"Well, Mrs. Cha had associated me with adjectives like dumb, stupid, lazy, and intellectually lacking. I was deeply offended and I feel extremely wronged. The whole class was there to witness it too."

"Mrs. Cha, is what I'm hearing true?" The headmistress questioned sharply, causing the teacher to gulp in fear.

"Y-yes, but in my defense, h-"

"Jungkook, you may now return back to class. I need to privately discuss this with your teacher."

Jungkook flashed a victorious smirk at the teacher before leaving the room, a cocky expression worn on his face as he stuffed his hands arrogantly in his pockets while walking away for not only had he proven his innocence but had also ruined the teacher.

"I'm your Guardian Angel."

The room remained silent as Jungkook stared at the ghost in disbelief, mouth opening and closing like a fish in confusion.

"A what?" He finally brought himself to ask.

"Guardian angel, you know, the angel who tries to lead you in direction, make sure you're not doing anything wrong, loo-"

"Like a babysitter?" He interrupted with a profound frown plastered on his face.

"I prefer the term, Guardian Angel."

The duo remained quiet, allowing Jungkook to process the information, trying to decipher everything, still wishing that this was all just a prank. It was the last thing he needed: someone to judge and control his every action. However, instead of freaking out, he didn't know what to feel about this. For some reason, there was a tiny intuition that everything was going to be okay. Nevertheless, he didn't like this one bit, he was too old to have a babysitter. Why on Earth was he being babysat by someone younger than him?

"Dude! The location of our school trip has been decided, Switzerland." Taehyung announced excitedly as he entered the room with a cup of water in his hand, startling Jungkook.

While Jungkook remained unbothered with the news, already used to having such school trips, Y/n widened her eyes at the announcement, making her grin like a Cheshire cat in excitement. She stood up with a shocked expression, excitedly clapping her hands together.

"I'm going to Switzerland?!" Y/n gushed loudly.

"What? You're going there too?" Jungkook whined at Y/n, extremely annoyed.

"Of course, otherwise I'll be stuck here in school studying. Obviously, I'm going to go." Taehyung answered instead, startling Jungkook who had forgotten about the fact that he couldn't see Y/n.

"H-huh, oh yeah." Jungkook absentmindedly agreed with Taehyung.

"I'll go sign the two of us up then. Apparently, there are limited seats." Taehyung quickly settled the cup of water on the bedside table before hurrying off, way too excited to excuse himself from studying.

As soon as the door closed behind Taehyung, Jungkook turned towards Y/n, a displeased look on his face.

"Do you really have to go?"

"Definitely, I have to be within 1 mile from you at all times." She recited, one of the few rules to follow as a Guardian Angel.

"This is absolutely full of shit! I don't see why I need a babysitter!" Jungkook groaned in irritation, glaring at the ghost while he stood up from the bed before swinging his bag on his shoulder as he took off.

"I prefer the term, Guardian Angel!" Y/n called out behind him, quickly trying to catch up with him.

"Where are you going? School isn't done yet." Y/n reprimanded after him as Jungkook continued to ignore her and walk out of the building with a nonchalant expression, already tired of the consistent nagging.

Y/n merely ran after him, desperately trying to stop him, unfortunately failing. As Jungkook exited the school gates, he continued ignoring the lectures that were spewing out of Y/n's mouth who had been trying to persuade him to go back. To class.

"Oi! Where are you going?! You still have class!"

"I'm ditching them." He finally answered with a simple tone, aggravating Y/n to no extent.

"That's what I'm saying, you can't just miss lessons!"

"Watch me."

"Maybe you should go back to school." Jungkook merely rolled his eyes, his ears tired off Y/n persistently persuading him to go back to class for the last half-an-hour.

"We're already far away, there's no use now," Jungkook spoke as he stepped outside of the car. "Driver Yang, you may go now. If they ask, tell my parents that I will be late." Jungkook ordered the driver, making Y/n roll her eyes at the disrespectful tone.

"Your parent already left today morning." The driver politely informed Jungkook, making him raise an eyebrow.

"Already?" Jungkook chewed on the inside of his cheek in annoyance. "Okay then, all the better."

Jungkook quickly indicated for the driver to leave before walking away into the busy train station, as Y/n quickly followed him.

"Can't you be a bit nicer? A 'thank you' never hurt anyone."

Her nagging was getting really annoying for Jungkook, someone correcting his every move like he was no longer human. The mere idea of spending time with her got his blood boiling, he couldn't even think of it. Nevertheless, even though Y/n could see his irritation that hurt her, she continued. After all, her main goal was just to go back to heaven.

"Don't show me that attitude! Just be kinder."

"Geez! Okay, mom!" Jungkook rolled his eyes with a prominent frown on his face, while he racked his brain for ideas to get rid of the unwanted babysitter.

As his eyes scanned the overpopulated train station with distaste, not liking the sweaty crowd, his eyes fell on the distracted Y/n, who was busy admiring a small child who was sucking on a lollipop. Jungkook saw this as an opportunity to separate from her.

It was too easy to be true…

As he sped into a large crowd, his figure simply disappearing into the world of strangers, he was pleased to officially lose Y/n. Even though he had to sacrifice his personal space, it was all worth it, as he climbed into a train cabin with a large, loud family. From the corner of his eye, he could see the confused expression of Y/n as she helplessly searched for him. Not a sliver of guilt emerged in him, instead, he was sadistically relieved and happy at the sight. Not wasting another minute, he walked into the crowded compartment, before settling in the seat near a window.

"Hey!"

"Ahhh!" He screamed out loud, shocked at the presence who was sitting next to him with a cheerful smile, not all hindered by the fact she was abandoned less than a minute ago.

The neighbouring strangers were shocked by the sudden outburst, giving him wary stares as they eyed him. Noticing this, Jungkook grumpily wore his air pods before talking to Y/n under the pretense of a phone call.

"What are you doing here?" He questioned angrily while staring outside the window, not wanting others to think that he was going mad. "I just saw you outside."

"Remember, I have to be within a mile radius from you at all times. Duty of a guardian angel!" Y/n proudly stated, making Jungkook roll his eyes at his cursed luck once again. "So… don't try to get rid of me like that!" She tauntingly reminded him of his horrid fate that landed Y/n as his guardian angel.

"Whatever," He mumbled before leaning against the cold surfaced interior of the train, shutting his eyes. "I'm going to sleep."

"Wait, where are we going?"

"Itaewon." He muttered as he slowly fell into a deep sleep.

"I can't believe I'm here again," Y/n muttered under her breath as she made her way through the crowd, the smell of alcohol pouring out of the tourists, making her scrunch up her face in disgust. Jungkook on the other hand, was way too used to this scene, feeling indifferent in the crowded area of Itaewon.

She quickly dodged the intoxicated couple that exited the club before following behind Jungkook like a lost puppy. As he got in line, Y/n wore a weakened expression as she tried one last time.

"You're not of legal age yet. Let's just go back."

"Stop talking nonsense, if you don't want t come in, don't. I'm going in." He quickly nudged Y/n away as he flashed his fake ID to the bouncer before entering the room filled with blinding lights and deafeningly booming music.

Y/n winced at the atrocious scene, face crinkled with disgust as she watched drinks being poured to drunk men. Nevertheless, she followed Jungkook who headed towards the bar stand immediately as he was too sober to step on the dance floor yet.

"One Aunt Roberto!" He called out to the bartender before settling down on a wooden stool before looking at Y/n and raising an eyebrow at her worried expression.

"What?" He rudely questioned.

"An Aunt Roberto? Isn't that quite strong? You have school tomorrow."

"Could you stop being such a worry-wart?! I'm not going to school tomorrow." He simply dismissed her as he reached out for the blood-red liquid the bartender handed him.

"Say thank you." She ordered him.

"Thank you." Jungkook shockingly complied, startling the bartender who was not used to such expressions of gratitude or politeness.

"That wasn't too hard now, was it."

"Could you please just stop nagging me now? We're in a club for heaven's sake." Jungkook angrily shot at her as he took a sip of the alcoholic drink, slightly wincing when the strong drink burnt down the back of his throat.

"Sorry…" Y/n piped down timidly before hesitantly opening her mouth. "Could you just order some fries?"

Jungkook quickly shot her a glare before turning slightly confused. "Fries?"

"Yeah, this club sells them before 11.00 pm and I'm quite hungry."

"Ooh, Goody-two-shoes Guardian Angel has already been inside this club?!" Jungkook questioned, genuinely surprised.

"Not voluntarily…" She merely mentions, causing Jungkook to raise an eyebrow in an attempt to nudge her to continue.

"I'm intrigued." He importuned, resting his cheek on his hands as he continued to sip his alcoholic drink, facing her.

"It's not that interesting," She brushed him off but seeing him adamantly staring at her, she sighed in defeat. "First order some fries." Y/n urged him, her stomach grumbling hungrily.

"Fine," He whined. "Could I also get some fries?' He called out to the bartender, who nodded in agreement before heading off inside to grab the fries.

"Now, continue. I'm too bored." Y/n giggled at how compliant he had become, before continuing.

"I live nearby and my sister worked here for a while. Whenever my house landlord was drunk, I would have to spend my nights here." She shrugged her shoulders to prove how boring her story was.

"You lived here?" Jungkook questioned intrigued.

"Hmm," She hummed in agreement, eyes twinkling when she saw the plate of fries in front of her.

"This part isn't the safest…" Jungkook muttered, slightly concerned.

"Yeah, well," She paused to stuff her mouth with the fries, sighing in ecstasy as she devoured the food. "That's what you get with limited money. You rich people never have to worry about things like that."

"Yeah, well us rich people also have problems," Jungkook mumbled sourly.

"Like what?" Y/n was too intoxicated by the food in front of her to see the dejected expression Jungkook wore.

"Nothing." Jungkook easily dismissed her before changing the subject. "Is your sister hot?"

Y/n groaned in disgust before lightly slapping Jungkook's shoulder at the questioning.

"Stop being such a pervert," Nevertheless, Jungkook stared repeatedly waiting for an answer as he finished off his drink. "She was… hot" Y/n answered, lowkey repulsed.

"Was?"

"Hmm, she died with me."

At this moment of time, the alcohol was starting to kick in, preventing him from feeling any emotions of sadness or awkwardness at the information.

"Whatever, I'm going to dance." He said as he pushed himself off the bar and headed toward the dance floor, drunkenly swaying with the loud music amidst sweaty strangers making Y/n shake her head in disapproval.

How she ended up dragging an unconscious Jungkook on her back was unknown but not surprising for all Jungkook had done was drown in alcohol at the club. Fortunately, no one was around the back of the club to see Jungkook being dragged around by nothing.

Y/n had no idea where his house was, leaving her stranded in the dark streets of Itaewon, leaving her house as her last option.

"Hopefully the Landlord was away." Y/n wished under her breath, knowing Jungkook would not be pleasantly surprised in the morning for her house was far from luxurious.

"This is your fault for drinking so much," Y/n grumbled as she walked the dark lone streets to a much poorer community, where her house was.

The journey was a treacherously long, uphill journey, making Y/n huff out of exhaustion as she carried the heavy body of Jungkook. As she got to a poorer side of town, the bright lights of Itaewon subdued, highlighting the poor nature of the dirty, unhygienic buildings that were close to ruins. Her house was a small building with stains of history exaggerating how old and weary the building was, with a broken, slanted door that had no lock and could barely close.

Y/n sighed in relief when she found the building unused and empty, free of any landlord. Struggling, Y/n quietly pushed open the wooden door with her legs to entire a small room that only occupied a steel bed that had a worn-out mattress on top of it. Huffing, she dropped the heavy body of Jungkook on the dirty mattress, wincing as the bed creaked loudly, still not stirring awake Jungkook. Sighing in fatigue, she softly covered the sleeping figure with a dirty, thin cloth that was a poor substitute for a blanket.

Straightening her back, she stared at the soft, relaxed face of Jungkook, before wincing as she thought about how he will react in the morning.

"Whatever happens, it was all your fault for drinking too much."

Light peaked through the light beige velvet curtains, illuminating the large room where a young man of 18 slept peacefully under the luxurious, white, fluffy duvet. His brunette hair was tousled flatteringly in his sleep, a soft pout forming as he breathed in deep sleep. His Derek Rose silk pajama set that was worth $3,400, was scrunched up, exposing a sliver of his torso.

"Young Master?" A muffled voice called out from behind the enormous mahogany door.

The polite voice dissipated into nothing in the vast bedroom space, not even nudging the sleeping boy in the slightest. A knock was heard before the door was slightly opened by an intimidated man in his fifties. The man was dressed in his white uniform, indicating that he was the butler of the house.

"Young Master?" He called out once again, a slight tremor in his voice in fear of angering the sleeping boy.

At the slight disturbance, the boy whined softly before turning to face plant in his soft pillows in an attempt to block out the blinding light and other disturbances.

Taking small, hesitant steps, the butler reluctantly called out once again. "Young Master?"

At this, the sleeping boy groaned angrily as he slowly pried his eyes open, a distinct frown plastered on his face as he threw daggers at the poor man in front of him.

"What?" He snapped at the terrorised man, who feared to even look at the boy.

"It is time to go to school…" His voice visibly trembled in fear of the master.

"So? I'm not going today." He mumbles, ready to go back to sleep.

"The thing is… your parents are here today." He dropped the bomb.

There was utter silence in the room as the young boy registered the butler's words.

"WHAT?!!" The boy sprung up on his bed, eyes wide open in horror. "Why didn't you tell me before?!" The man tyrannised the butler as he scrambled off the bed in hurry, cursing as his eyes laid on the time, before rushing off into the bathroom.

The butler softly snickered at his behaviour, finding it adorable, a pleasant contrast to his stone-cold behaviour.

"I'm sorry… Guardian Angel?" Y/n clarified in disbelief, as she raised an eyebrow at her situation, glaring profusely at her sister.

"His name is Jeon Jungkook, aged 18, born to the parents of Jeon Hyuk and Kim Somin on 1st September 2002." The white angel recited off in a monotonous tone.

"Huh? But I-" She was brutally ignored by the angel.

"Studying in Yongsan School of Seoul, in his final year." As the angel came to a stop, Y/n was utterly confused.

"But what do I have to do?" The angel look up with a stoic expression, his eyes burning gold as he stared directly at you.

"Lies and torture will arise and lead astray. He shall not sway for you to repay." He decreed.

He swung his bag on his shoulder before heading downstairs, preparing himself for the encounter with his parents. As he begrudgingly trudged down the marble stairs, the silhouettes of his parents came into his vision. However, the presence of a third individual caused him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion as he tried to decipher who was visiting. At the sound of his footsteps, the voices became more hushed as they spotted him coming down in his uniform.

"Jungkook, good morning." His mother greeted him emotionlessly.

"Morning." He mumbled in response, before bowing slightly at the visitor who was wearing a branded grey suit with documents spread all over the glass table.

Jungkook merely reaches out for an apple on the dining table before walking towards the entrance, not wanting to stay with his parents any longer. However, as he reached for the solid bronze door handle, he was abruptly halted.

"Jungkook," His dad sternly called out. "Don't think you're off the hook. I heard from your teachers."

Jungkook merely rolled his eyes in annoyance before opening the door and walking off, not bothering to continue the conversation. He could hear his father's grumbles of exasperation, but he could only storm off.

"After meeting for the first time in 4 months, that's the only thing he could talk about?!" Jungkook questioned in disbelief before walking towards his black Bentley, where a driver stood with the door open for him.

"Oof! This school is expensive!" Y/n muttered to herself as she ogled at the school as she walked through the corridors that were filled with students wearing high-quality uniforms while carrying books and laptops in their hands.

Her eyes skimmed through the students, desperately trying to spot Jeon Jungkook in the corridor. As her vision fell on a tall young man by his locker, a wide smile erupted on her face as she quickly made her way to the individual, stopping just before him, to greet him joyfully.

"Hello!" Y/n waved excitedly.

Jungkook merely looked beside the locker to see a young girl of 16 or 17 that was way too energetic for the morning. He raised an eyebrow when he realised that in the place of the school uniform, she was wearing plain, worn-out jeans and a white blouse with puffed-up shoulders. Maybe a new student?

"Hello?" He reluctantly greeted back, a frown climbing onto his face at the disturbance as he slammed the locker close, turning towards the young girl.

"My name is Y/n." She held out a hand for a handshake, which he very hesitantly took.

Her cold hands were contrasting greatly to his warmth, almost sending a shiver down his spine.

"Jungkook!" A voice startled the duo as Jungkook turned his head towards the source of the voice, only to see a blonde-haired boy rushing towards him with a bright smile.

However, the world came crashing down when he saw the blonde-headed boy lean on the locker harshly… where the girl was standing. Jungkook widened his eyes in horror as he saw the young girl dissipate into thin air before reforming again beside the blonde-haired boy with an annoyed frown.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" He screamed out in horror, skin as pale as snow, his loud voice echoing through the corridors.

"Mr. Jeon, pleasant to see you in the morning itself. What did you do again?" The Headmistress greeted sarcastically, before looking at the middle-aged teacher that was fuming.

"This student screamed out loud in the middle of the corridor, disturbing everyone!"

"Ahh… what's your excuse this time?" The headmistress, not even surprised, questioned Jungkook, already used to his annoying antics.

"I was just too shocked by your beauty." He smoothly replied, earning an eye roll of the headmistress.

"Jungkook…" She intimidating warned him.

"I just saw a bee." He nonchalantly replied, causing the teacher to almost explode from anger.

"Do this once again, and you'll get a detention." The headmistress merely replied.

"T-that's it?! He disturbed a very important internal exam for my students!" The teacher exclaimed, baffled as to why he didn't get any punishment.

"It is a very common reaction to a bee. This will act as a warning for him to prevent such disturbing actions in the future." The headmistress declared before turning back to her computer.

"Ugh!" The teacher groaned in annoyance before stomping out of the office, forcing a concealed chuckle out of Jungkook.

"See you later!" Jungkook waved goodbye to the headmistress before exiting the room as well.

"I hope not." The headmistress merely replied.

Jungkook smirked at his smooth skills as he headed out of the office, only to be startled at the presence of the same young girl leaning against the wall.

"Ahhh! You're the ghost!" He exclaimed in fear.

As the young girl took a step closer, he stepped back in horror and alarm, before he took off running in the opposite direction, making Y/n roll her eyes at the extra exercise the boy was making her do. Poor Jungkook was scarred for his life, running as fast as he could through the corridors. Y/n merely groaned and she ran behind the young boy.

"Jungkook! I won't do anything to you!"

"H-how do you know my name?!" Jungkook questioned in fear and terror, picking up his speed even more.

His black school shoes thudded against the tiled floor of the school corridor that was rather empty due to the ongoing classes.

Y/n simply teleported in front of Jungkook who widened his eyes comically before fainting in fright.

He groaned softly as he slowly fluttered his eyes open, the white light blinding him immediately.

"Jungkook! You're awake!" A deep voice exclaimed in delight.

"Taehyung?" His voice was rough and deep as his unfocused eyes settled on the figure that sat beside him, who was undoubtedly Taehyung. "Where am I?"

"You're just in the school's infirmary. I was just ditching my classes when I saw you running through the halls like a mad man before suddenly fainting. What on Earth happened?!"

"What? Didn't you see the girl chasing me?" He groaned as he pried his eyes open, his vision becoming slightly clearer.

"Dude, what are you talking about? No one was chasing you." Taehyung nonchalantly brushed off Jungkook's comment.

As Jungkook's vision finally focused, he gasped audibly at the presence of the young girl that was looking at him with worry. At this, Y/n merely smiled before bringing a finger to her mouth, indicating him to keep her presence a secret. Jungkook, with an alarmed expression, visibly gulped in fear.

"You're acting all strange, I'll get you some water from outside." Jungkook whimpered when Taehyung stood up from his seat as he went outside, leaving the duo all alone.

"W-what do you w-want from me?" He timidly questioned, scared for his life. Truth be told, he was on the verge of crying and pissing his pants.

"I'm not here to hurt you…" Y/n spoke with a smile, glad to finally converse with him.

"I'm your... Guardian Angel."

"I can't believe you got us into an accident!" Y/n shrieked in frustration at her sister.

"Like that's the problem." Y/n's sister, Jiwoo, scoffed. "Look at what I'm wearing! If I knew I was going to die, I would have at least worn something cuter." Jiwoo pouted in regret while looking at her knee-length, backless white dress that was stained with blood.

Y/n rolled her eyes at her sister, annoyance boiling inside her.

"Seriously?!"

"What?! I have to spend the rest of my time at heaven dressed like this!" She whined as she tried to wipe away the blood from her white Dior stilettos.

"I can't-" Y/n inhaled slowly, trying to calm herself. "Let's just follow that guy dressed in black. We're already dead."

"Don't remind me, I died in the worst position." Jiwoo cringed as she looked back at her body that was laying lifelessly against an inflated airbag, before shifting her eyes to the figure in the passenger seat. "At least it was better than yours."

Y/n winced painfully while looking at her body that was lying in the passenger seat, head against the cracked window as a huge glass shard protruded from her chest.

"Ouch…" Jiwoo commented heartlessly, before bringing her attention back to the buff man dressed in black robes that was patiently waiting for them. "But isn't the guy extremely cute? Is he single?"

"Jiwoo! He's the grim reaper!"

"So? He looks cute!"

Y/n sighed in defeat before walking towards the man, trying to ignore the infuriating presence of her sister.

"Hey! Don’t leave me here!" Jiwoo exclaimed as she rushed behind her younger sister, struggling to run in her heels.

"Yoon Jiwoo: aged 21, daughter of Yoon Tak and Kim Chaeryoung, death pronounced on the 26th August 2021, born on 4th January 2000." An angel, a young man dressing in a white suit, announced while standing on white clouds. "You may pass."

Jiwoo sent a cheeky smile back at her sister before stepping forward, through the light blue barrier that opened for her.

"Yoon Y/n: aged 17, daughter of Yoon Tak and Kim Chaeryoung, death pronounced on the 26th August 2021, born on 28th August 2003." He announced in the presence of Y/n.

"… You may NOT pass."

Y/n, about to take a step forward, froze in her movement. She looked up in a panic, trying to seek help from her sister who was waiting for her on the other side of the barrier, before looking back in confusion at the angel.

"What?! Why?!" Y/n was deeply confused, for she was the ideal daughter, never breaking any rules, a kind smile always present on her face. But why was she stopped when her sister, who had started shoplifting ever since the age of 14, passed?

"On 13th November 2016, you made a promise. I cannot let you pass until you have fulfilled your promise." The angel replied monotonously, showing no signs of emotion on his face.

Y/n furrowed her eyebrows as she tried to recall what promise she had made to leave her in such a pickle. She racked her brain for any answer before everything hit her harshly.

Y/n gasped in horror as she glared at her sister, finally remembering the retched promise.

----FLASHBACK----

Y/n paced anxiously across the white floor that was filled with the smell of disinfectant. Her palms were clammy as her thoughts were filled with perturbation. She glanced at the ominous red sign of the surgery room while biting her lips in worry. Even though her sister was extremely annoying, Y/n loved her deeply, for she was her only family left. Her heart had dropped when Jiwoo was rushed into emergency surgery for a cerebral aneurysm.

"I promise, I will take responsibility for all of my sister's sins. Please let her live!" Y/n prayed mercilessly.

----FLASHBACK END----

"Are you kidding? I made that promise when I was 13! Are you seriously going to make me do that?!" Y/n was dumbfounded completely.

"A promise is a promise." The angel refused to budge.

"How am I even going to do it? Jiwoo has too many sins." Y/n whined in frustration, refusing to accept her fate, glaring when she heard her sister giggle sheepishly, wanting nothing more than strangling her to death.

With Jungkook taking a shower, Y/N was peacefully lying on the couch, completely absorbed in the book she was reading. Immersed in the scene, she was startled when the doorbell rang. The book flew from her clutches and landed on the soft material of the couch with a slight thud. Y/N placed a hand on her chest, trying to calm down her racing heart. The doorbell rang again, forcing Y/N to push herself off the couch and walked towards the door, opening it wide open to see two (very handsome) men.

"Uhh... How may I help you?" Y/N asked politely.

"I'm sorry, doesn't Jeon Jungkook live here?" Inquired one of them, absolutely befuddled at Y/N's appearance.

"Huh? Oh ye-" Y/N was soon interrupted by a voice from behind her.

"Y/n-ah, who's at the door?" Y/N turned around to see Jungkook coming down in grey sweatpants and a t-shirt, drying his wet hair using a towel.

"Oh, Jungkook! They're here for you." At Y/n's words, Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows and walked towards the door, swinging an arm around Y/N's shoulders before looking at his visitors.

"Hyung! What are you guys doing here?!" Jungkook exclaimed while Y/N buried herself on the side of Jungkook, slightly intimidated by the two strangers.

"We were assigned to the main office once again, so we decided to come to visit you. Also, we wanted you to sign some papers while we were here." He glanced continuously at me, utterly confused.

"Oh! I totally forgot to introduce you guys. Y/N, these are my friends Jimin Hyung and Jin Hyung. Guys this is my wife, Y/N." At Jungkook's words, their eye bulged out in shock.

"You're married?!" The two exclaimed at the same time.

"So, you're telling me, YOU are married?!" Jin exclaimed

"I can't believe you didn't even tell us! I still refuse to believe this anti-romantic is settling down. Y/N-ah," Jimin turned towards Y/N before continuing. "If he ever mistreats you, know I will be there single and ready to mingle." He finished off his sentence with a cute and adorable wink, his charms overflowing smoothly.

It earned a small giggle from Y/N, reminding her of a cute cat. However, Jungkook didn't look so pleased, instead, he squinted his eyes at the elder man, almost challenging him to even try anything with his wife.

"I don't think that would be necessary," Jungkook said, wrapping a protective arm around Y/N's waist, pulling her even closer, eliminating any space between the two.

Seeing Y/n almost crushed against the side of Jungkook and the daring glare pointed towards Jimin, Jin decided to interfere.

"Anyway, Jungkook-ah, could you read through these documents and sign them? We would have brought them to you tomorrow but they need to be finalised and sent by tomorrow morning."

Reluctantly unwrapping his arm, still glaring at Jimin, Jungkook nodded. Standing up, the young man straightened his pants before pointing upstairs.

"Let's go to my room." Jungkook muttered before leading the way. The other two quickly followed him, with Jimin not forgetting to give Y/n one last wink, flustering Y/n.

Y/n had resumed her spot on the couch, swinging her legs up and down while reading her book, when they came downstairs.

"We'll discuss more about the hotel tomorrow. Hope you have a safe journey back." Jungkook said with a professional tone laced on his voice.

"See you tomorrow." Jin bid the couple goodbye, ready to leave.

Unfortunately, Jimin had slightly different plans. He walked towards Y/N with a flirtatious glint in his eyes, causing Jungkook to immediately be alarmed, ready to fight Jimin if he even laid a finger on Y/N.

"It's a pity we couldn't talk more. How about we grab a coffee tomorrow?" Jimin asked, a suggestive expression plastered across his face.

"S-she can't!" Interjected a worried and flustered Jungkook. "She has class full day tomorrow." At his words, Y/N furrowed her eyebrows, an adorable expression of confusion on her face as she heard about her non-existent classes.

"Well... I guess some other time then. Bye Jungkookie!" He exclaimed before heading outside, a tired-yet-not-surprised Jin following him.

The door closed behind the two men, an indication to start Jin's rant.

"Why would you aggravate that muscle bunny?!" Jin accused Jimin, tired of his playful antics.

"Oh come on! Don't find it amusing? I mean, he has never shown interest in anything before, let me just tease him."

Jin gave Jimin an unimpressed look, silence falling over the two, before bursting out in laughter.

"That is right! I swear, I thought he was going to burst. Did you see how red he got?" The two joined together, laughing and teasing the poor boy.

"Bye Jungkook!" Y/N said, waving her arm. Jungkook, in response, gave her a loving smile, waving back at her.

Y/n stepped out of the office, the wooden door closing behind her, as she walked towards the elevator. However, the sight of a blonde-haired man caught her eye, causing her to panic and run back to Jungkook's cabin all flustered. She slammed the door open, hastily entering the room, shocking and surprising Jungkook, who looked at her in alarm and confusion.

"What happe-" He started off.

"Jimin is coming here." Y/N panted out, tired from the previous running.

Jungkook widened his eyes and stood up in alarm.

"What?! He can't know you're here or he'll never stop teasing me!" His tone was full of worry and regret, not knowing what to do now.

"You know what, just hide."

"What? Whe- Why?" Y/N asked, startled by his words.

Jungkook pulled the poor, flustered Y/N under his desk, not having time to answer any of her questions, and ran a frustrated hand through his hair, looking around his room in panic before sitting on his chair, just in time for Jimin to enter the room.

"Hey, Jungkookie!" Greeted the cheerful Jimin

"Oh Hyung! Have you ever heard of knocking?" Jungkook said sarcastically, trying to buy time to calm himself down.

"When did I ever knock? Anyway, with the scandal going on with Special Security Inc. I think it is best to use another security company in the new hotel. In our test run, we are already having complaints, and people may not feel safe with their technology being used. The next best option is Diamond Security but they are 1.2% more expensive and we would have to set up a meeting with them to discuss the contract and conditions." Jimin said, not even aware of Y/N's presence under the desk.

Jungkook composed himself before discussing the details and thoughts, soon almost forgetting the fact that Y/N was hiding under his desk, who was starting to get bored. As she tuned out her husband and Jimin, she was starting to feel restless and annoyed. Trying to find something to focus on, she leaned her head on Jungkook's thigh and started drawing small doodles on the other thigh with her delicate finger. Jungkook widened his eyes and sat up straight in shock at Y/N's actions.

"What's wrong?" Jimin asked, seeing the shock on Jungkook's face.

"N-nothing, continue." Jungkook started, trying his best to keep calm.

Y/N innocently carried on with her doodles, not aware of the effects of her actions on Jungkook. As her finger traveled higher and higher in an attempt of drawing a flower, Jungkook closed his eyes tightly in frustration, desperate to tame himself down. His legs bounced up and down, in an attempt to both calm him down and to stop Y/N. However, Y/N chuckled silently and challenged herself to continue to draw with new turbulence, finally eradicating her boredom. Unfortunately, Jungkook could take it no more, forcing him to spit out words in an attempt to get Jimin to leave.

"You know Hyung, could we talk about this later? I have a call that is about to come in." Jungkook said, trying his best not to stutter.

"Sure, I'll just set up a meeting with the finance team and the IT team to come up with the solution and inform you later." Jimin said, nodding in agreement, getting ready to leave.

"I'll take a leave then." Jimin bowed slightly before walking towards the door and leaving the room.

At the newly found privacy, Jungkook heaved a sigh and wrapped an arm around Y/N, hoisting her up from her hiding position, shocking her and preventing her from doodling any further. Y/n looked at Jungkook in shock and confusion, eyes blatantly displaying her innocence and purity. However, it was that look of innocence that annoyed Jungkook even further. How could someone rile him up so much without even intending to do so? Why was he so responsive to the slightest touch of Y/N?

"Just what do you think you were doing?" He spoke in a low voice, in an attempt to intimidate Y/N. However, used to the cold demeanour of her husband, Y/n was not at all intimidated.

"Why? I was just bored?" She tilted her head in confusion, giving Jungkook the cutest expression.

He chuckled looking down, desperate to get away from the adorable look on Y/N's face, before facing her once again.

"You really have no idea what you're doing to me, do you?" Jungkook question, a dark gaze entering his eyes.

He stood up from his chair and walked closer to the petite frame of Y/N. She looked questioningly at his dark gaze and knowing smirk, slightly alarmed. She took a step back unconsciously, worried about what was going inside Jungkook's mind.

"Why a-are you looking at me like that?" Y/N said, looking at him warily.

"Do you know what you were doing to me?" He said, slowly walking closer and closer to her, forcing her to take a few steps back. "Do you not see me as a man? Do you not know what your touches do to me?"

Y/N widened her eyes when she felt the hard surface of the wall hit her back, leaving her no way of escaping. Jungkook smirked when he cornered her, towering over her, his arms caging her.

"Did no one tell you not touch your husband like that?"

"L-like what? I w-was just drawing some flowers." Y/n stuttered desperately to justify her actions. Jungkook raised an eyebrow at her retort.

"Well then, you wouldn't mind if I did the same, would you?" A teasing glint in his eyes.

He caressed Y/N's cheeks before slowly drawing his finger down to her neck, stopping just before her first button to draw the outline of her name, getting dangerously close to the lace material of her bra. Y/N gulped at Jungkook's actions, starting to understand what he was talking about.

Jungkook leaned down to her ear, before whispering in the huskiest voice he could muster.

"Do you understand? Hmm? How I felt?" He whispered before nibbling on her earlobe.

Y/n was shaken, never experiencing things like this before, she stood still not knowing what to do. Jungkook slowly moved from her ear to her jaw, meticulously covering her jaw with wet kisses. He peaked at Y/N's expression, pleased to see the flustered and surprised expression on her face, causing him to smirk victoriously at the effect he had on her.

"Why? Regret it already? Do-"

"I don't." Y/n injected in a small voice, almost afraid of his reaction.

With the single sentence, a heavy tension loomed over the two, as they stared at each other in silence, not breaking eye contact for even a second.

"What?" Jungkook whispered, in absolute shock and disbelief.

"I don't regret it." It was now Y/n's turn, walking closer to the frozen Jungkook, eliminating any space between them. "I don't regret doing that to you." She muttered, slyly playing the top button of his shirt.

"Baby, don't play with m-me like that. It's not funny." He said, stuttering due to the thundering of his chest at Y/n's words.

"I'm not. I may have not intentionally done that, but now, I really don't regret it." She said, looking directly at Jungkook, eyes displaying the sincerity of her words.

"God, I love you!" Jungkook muttered under his breath before swooping down to smash his lips on hers, her back crashing on the wall due to the impact.

Y/n arms automatically wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer to her than ever. Her eyes fluttered close as she kissed him back, harder and deeper, melting at the touch of their lips. He salvaged every single feeling of the kiss, the passion, the ferocity... the love. A million thoughts filling their heads were ignored and pushed away, desiring nothing more than to enjoy this moment. The intensity ignited a fire between the two, her chest exploding at the fervent urgency of the kiss. The kiss was heated, messy, and all over the place, but Jungkook couldn't care less. He continued kissing her like his life depended on it, sucking, biting, and licking, trying to savour the sweet taste of his love. His arms roamed around her torso, waist, her hips, and chest. He didn't know what to do, he wanted everything at the moment. The innocent touches were no longer present, both of them immersed in the intimate feeling of their bodies next to each other. She knotted her fist in his hair, making him let out a soft, low groan. Jungkook tapped her thigh, indicating her to jump. Not breaking the kiss, Y/n jumped up and wrapped her legs around his waist. Jungkook pushed her further onto the wall and pressed himself – all of him – against her.

Jungkook reluctantly pulled back, both panting heavily, breathless, before asking slowly. "Baby, are you sure? I can't stop later."

Y/N chuckled before leaning to leave a soft kiss on his lips.

"I'm sure." She whispered while smiling lovingly at Jungkook, looking purely at his eyes.

"God, I don't know what to do with you" He muttered before he smashed his lips against her, eagerly tasting every bit of her.

Y/n matched his passion as she kissed back hungrily. As Jungkook slowly yet tauntingly traveled to her neck, meticulously searching for her soft spot, Y/n leaned her head against the wooden wall, unconsciously giving him more space, eyes squeezed shut in pleasure. Jungkook avidly sucked her soft skin, leaving hickeys everywhere. He knew that leaving markings out in the open was immature, but he didn't care. He couldn't help but act like a hormonal teenager in front of Y/n when all he wanted was to devour her. Y/n snaked her hands around his head, unconsciously pushing his face closer, not wanting to stop. She arched her back into him, melting in his hold, while Jungkook tightened his hold around her waist, not caring if he left a mark. As he held her with hand, the other hand aimlessly yet impatiently wandered around her torso, traveling up to play with her buttons before eagerly popping them open, unconsciously grinding on her. Jimin on the other hand, merely stared at the couple in shock and disbelief, utterly embarrassed at the situation. His eyes were wide open, frozen in his place as he took the scene in front of him.

"I'm s-sorry. I'll be back later." He quickly muttered before hastily leaving the room, slamming the door behind him.

Silence loomed over the couple as they tried to decipher what had just happened with unfocused eyes. Y/n couldn't help but find the situation hilarious, causing a snicker to escape her before she softly chuckled at the situation as she rested her forehead on his chest in an exhausted manner. Jungkook soon followed, laughing while he hugged Y/n closer to him.

Y/n slowly lifted her head, staring loving at Jungkook with a soft smile as he returned the smile.

"I love you…" She softly muttered.

It was well after Christmas, the vacation spent wholeheartedly, filled with laughter and smiles. Unfortunately, it was the start of the next semester for Y/n. Her university was waiting for her, a wicked smirk on its face as it tauntingly stood there, as students shivered at thought of the sleepless nights and endless assignments. Y/n wished she didn't have to go, which was why Jungkook woke up feeling a strong, grip, hanging onto him for dear life. Jungkook groaned, shaking the sleep off before scoffing playfully at Y/n's unconscious actions.

'How on Earth is she so strong while sleeping?' He thought in bewilderment as he slowly tried to escape from her hold.

This was all new to him; he had always valued his personal space. However, Jungkook couldn't help but want to snuggle closer to her, savouring her warmth. Reluctantly, Jungkook softly shook Y/n awake, like she was the most fragile object.

"Y/n, wake up." He softly shook her shoulders, only to make Y/n tighten her arms around his thin waist. "You have university today."

Y/n groaned at the mere mention of her college, a sleepy pout present on her face.

"Shh," She shushed him in a drowsy tone, grogginess evident in her voice. "Don't speak about that, I want to forget it."

Jungkook chuckled fondly at her response, wanting nothing but to cover her adorable face with pecks.

"Come on," He nudged her awake again as her eyes started to close once again, surrendering to sleep. "You'll be late.

"Can't I just skip today? I only have one class…" She pleaded desperately, her eyes still closed, not wanting to lose her sleep.

"Just go… You-" He abruptly stopped, eyebrows furrowed in faux annoyance at the sight of Y/n drifting off into sleep, mouth slightly open, dismissing his words entirely.

He exhaled at her stubborn nature before swiftly lifting her off the bed, bridal style, forcing Y/n to snap her eyes open in shock and surprise, before clinging to him as a shriek left her mouth, scared to fall down.

"Jungkook! Let me down!" She squealed, attaching onto Jungkook like a koala, compelling Jungkook to burst into laughter at her reaction.

"You should have listened to me." He merely stated before heading towards the closet. "Quickly get your clothes or I'll just drop you."

Y/n yelped at the empty threat, tightening her hold around his neck while burying her face in the crook of his neck, too scared to fall down. In her defense, Jungkook had never done anything like this and the last thing she wanted was a tailbone injury after being dropped to the wooden floor. She slowly released a hand before feeling around the materials for her clothes with eyes closed shut, too terrified to look at the ground, not trusting Jungkook one bit.

As Y/n blindly grabbed her jeans and a shirt, Jungkook raised an eyebrow seeing her take one of his shirts instead of hers, slyly deciding to keep quiet.

"Done?" He merely asked turning away to head to the bathroom.

"Wait! I need my underwear!" She frantically stopped Jungkook, face still very much buried in him.

However, now it was Jungkook's turn to be flustered. With slightly widened eyes and bright red ears, he slowly moved to her drawer, gulping nervously as he saw Y/n nonchalantly pull open the drawer and place a navy blue bra on top of her pile of clothes - more specifically his shirt. He cursed at how perverted he was behaving, ashamed of acting like a teenage boy who had seen a bra for the first time. Y/n on the other hand hadn't even noticed the effect of her actions on Jungkook with naively shut eyes.

"D-done?" He questioned for the second time before heading towards the bathroom when Y/n stiffly nodded.

Softly placing her feet on the marble tiles of the bathroom, he politely stepped out of the bathroom before closing the doors.

"J-just don't sleep in there!" He called out, warning her, learning from past experiences when Y/n had fallen asleep a few months ago, only to wake up when a worried Jungkook came knocking on the door of the toilet.

"That only happened once." Y/n begrudgingly replied making Jungkook smile when he could hear the pout in her voice.

Jungkook was merely sitting against the headboard with a laptop on his lap as he went through some of the project designs while he patiently waited for Y/n to exit the shower.

"Jungkook!" A muffled sound was heard as Y/n called for him, obliging Jungkook to momentarily pause his work as he answered.

"Yeah?"

"Could you get me another shirt?" Y/n pleaded making a knowing smirk creep onto his face.

"Why?" He feigned innocence.

"I accidentally brought your shirt!" Y/n merely replied, ignorant to the butterflies erupting in her husband's stomach at her words.

"Really? Just wear that today then." Jungkook offered, constraining his giggles.

"How can I wear this outside?" Y/n whined, not understanding why Jungkook was being so lazy today.

"Just wear it, it'll look nice." Jungkook pushed the idea once again, too excited to see her wear his clothes.

"Fine! Gosh, why are you so lazy?" Y/n mumbled quietly in return, making Jungkook hide the loving smile that was threatening to be revealed.

As Y/n stepped out of the toilet, it was almost like the world had stopped spinning for Jungkook. His eyes widened at how Y/n's petite figure was covered by his large shirt, the material falling just above her jeans, the collar almost slipping off her shoulder, exposing her collarbones.

Jungkook stared at her with widened eyes, mouth slightly open at how speechless the sight made him. A smile crept onto his face, unable to be hidden no longer at how adorable his wife looked. He slowly stretched out his arm and gestured for her to come closer, which Y/n suspiciously followed with a confused expression. As she came closer, he wrapped an arm around her waist, a lovesick look in his eyes as he looked at her like a puppy, making Y/n scoff playfully at his expression.

"Why are you looking at me like that? You know, I'm starting to think you did this on purpose." Y/n joked, not realising the truth behind her words, forcing Jungkook to chuckle sheepishly as he savoured the sight in front of him quietly.

A moment of silence passed by them, Y/n comfortable in his arms as he continued to stare shamelessly, his work long forgotten.

"You look cute."

"Bye!" She called out before stepping out of the car only to be pulled back, causing a squeal to escape her mouth.

Y/n landed on the car seat with a shocked look directed towards Jungkook questioning his actions incredulously. Quietly, he slowly neared towards her, before gently pressing his lips to her forehead, giving her a longing kiss, relishing in her proximity. Jungkook had made it his routine to give her a kiss before leaving for work, but it still left Y/n flustered and blushing like a cherry tomato.

"Y/n," He softly spoke after pulling away slightly, making her hum in response, too shy to say anything. "What will you do after class?"

"I don't know," His question confused her. "Probably just go back home. Why?"

"Can you visit me in my office later today?" She furrowed her eyebrows further, extremely confused, yet nodding in agreement.

"I can do that." She agreed warily. "But why? Do you want me to bring you anything?"

He merely shook his head in denial before lovingly smiling at her.

"I'll miss you." He spoke, his voice close to a whisper, making it intimate and personal, forcing Y/n to look down in a flustered manner.

She muttered a small, timid "Bye" before exiting the car as Jungkook watched her with a fond look in his eyes, a teasing smile playing on his lips. Jungkook looked down onto his lap, the smile not disappearing before moving to start the car only to be stopped by knocks on the window. He rose an eyebrow as he saw Y/n crouching down to match the window's level. Curiously, he lowered the window, waiting for Y/n to speak.

"You know," She took a deep breath, looking everywhere but at Jungkook. "I'll miss you too." Her voice was as sweet as candy, softly uttering the words that made Jungkook's heart skip a beat before rushing away, too shy to look at his reaction.

Jungkook merely watched her disappearing figure with a slightly shocked expression accompanied by a flustered smile, before chuckling at her adorable actions, heart thundering excitedly against his chest.

She stepped inside the towering building, palms clammy as she clutched onto her bag, nervously scanning the large lobby. The ceiling was high, screaming luxury, with the abstract art pieces hanging in the sky, embedded with lights creating an ethereal view. The floor was polished allowing Y/n to clearly see her reflection, not a speck of dust to be seen. The couches for visitors were modern and expensive, while the walls were expertly made with authentic sedimentary rocks to create texture and atmosphere, while the receptionist sat behind large Mac Laptops, as an exorbitant painting hung on the wall.

Y/n had to physically stop herself from staring at the interior with an open mouth, gaping in amazement like tourists. The last time Y/n had visited this place was when she was 5 years old, accompanying her father after a visit to the local ice cream shop. However, it was nowhere near as grand as the present. Timidly, Y/n stepped towards the counter, politely craning her head over the marble countertop to see a woman attentively typing into the computer.

"Excuse me," Y/n called out, making the receptionist turn towards her with a kind smile on her face.

"Yes, how may I help you?"

"I wanted to meet Mr. Jeon?"

"Of course, did you have an appointment?" The lady questioned, already typing information into her computer.

"N-not really…"

"I'm extremely sorry, but you can't see him without an appointment."

"C-could you maybe give him a call? I know him." The receptionist merely exhaled exhaustingly, the smile not wavering before reaching out for the telephone.

Y/n gazed anxiously as she watched the lady press buttons on the phone, impatiently waiting for the other end to pick.

"Ah yes Secretary Hwang, I have someone who wants to meet the CEO. She says he knows her?" She waited before turning towards you, covering the phone slightly. "Name?"

"Y/n."

"Her name is Y/n?" She nodded her head before continuing. "Thank you, yes I will send her up right away."

She merely put the phone down before turning towards Y/n, a pleased smile on her face.

"You can go up using the elevator on the side. Here is your visitor's card." She slid a card attached to a black lanyard before using her hand to direct Y/n towards the elevator. "He is on the 42nd floor."

"Thank you!" Y/n politely bowed gratefully before heading towards the elevator, clutching the visitor card tightly between her fingers.

Biting her lips anxiously, she looked for the elevator, letting out a sigh of relief when she spotted them before pressing the button, patiently waiting for the lift to arrive. However, when the elevator came, Y/n was faced with yet another hurdle as the lift refused to work, regardless of how many times she pressed the 42nd button. She huffed in annoyance before a voice behind her spoke up, startling her tremendously.

"You have to scan your card." Y/n jumped at the sound, turning around abruptly with widened eyes to see a male in his 50s in a suit. She chuckled embarrassedly, scanning her card before pressing the 42nd button, ashamed when it suddenly decided to work.

"Thank you." She muttered to the unknown individual, cursing at how much of a fool she was.

Unfortunately, Jungkook's office was like a maze for Y/n, finding herself in front of the bathrooms once again, huffing at her stupidity for getting lost again. It was almost like she had an invisible yet tangible attraction to the toilets as she always found herself in front of them, irrespective of how twists and turns she took.

Jungkook on the other hand had just closed down a document on his computer, sighing in exhaustion as leaned back on his chair, momentarily closing his eyes in fatigue. He slowly opened his eyes once again, before a wandering young girl caught his eye. She wore an annoyed expression as she looked around in confusion, making Jungkook chuckle, intrigued at Y/n's behaviour. Standing up from his chair, he merely stepped out of his office to come right in front of Y/n, making her sigh in relief.

"Got lost?" He teasingly asked the obvious.

"Everything looks the same!" She exclaimed tiredly before walking closer to him, resting her forehead on his chest in exhaustion and Jungkook merely wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pulling her into a warm hug.

"Yes, I have 4 chapters to read before tomorrow and I don't want to stay up late." She explained for the tenth time today.

"Fine," He admitted reluctantly. "Let me at least walk you out." He muttered in defeat before holding the door open for Y/n.

"Why was it so hard for you to find your way?" Y/n glared in response, pursing her lips at the audacity of Jungkook to bring up her embarrassing experience.

"Look," He started off as he entered the elevator. "You use the card like this…" He explained like he was talking to a baby as he scanned his card. "Then, the lift works! Magic!"

"Are you going to stop?" Y/n questioned with an intimidating look on her face.

However, Jungkook had no intention of stopping here.

"Basically, we have elves working that can fly to push the elevator up and down." He started off, making up a fantasy story like Y/n was a 5 year old.

Unfortunately, Jungkook was forced to pause, yelping in pain as Y/n twisted his ear in annoyance, making him wince at the pain. As the elevator door opened, employees stared in shock at the sight in front of them: their cold boss cowering pain as a small lady twisted his ear. Seeing the audience in front of her, Y/n merely released his ear, before softly rubbing her hand over the reddened ear, leaning down to whisper into his ear.

"I told you to stop." She sternly left the elevator leaving the employees watching in surprise as their boss followed behind Y/n with a sheepish smile on his face.

As she was about to leave the building, he wrapped his hand around her wrist, pulling her back.

"Call me when you reach home?" Y/n nodded in response, softly unwrapping his grip before waving goodbye. Jungkook turned around, grinning to himself, feeling all giddy before going back up to the office.

However, his heart dropped when a thunderous, painful crash was heard, shortly followed by a high-pitched scream. It was chaotic; the gasps, hushed whispers, and shocked murmurs. Jungkook turned back around, eyes widening in alarm at the sight of a car smashed onto the wall, smoke escaping out of the car.

"Y/n!" His voice was loud and booming, not caring about his surroundings as ran back to the entrance.

His heart pounded against his chest in worry and anxiety, the world slowly starting to spin as horrible scenarios filled up his mind. His breath was shaky, palms clammy as he prayed for Y/n to be safe. He ran towards the wrecked car, eyes scanning for Y/n, desperate for her to be okay. It was like his entire world came crashing on him, his chest aching at the mere thought of Y/n hurt.

His world stopped at the sight of Y/n crouched down, covering her ear, eyes scrunched shut in fear, less than a centimeter away from the car. Not thinking about anything else, he ran towards her figure, before pulling her into a bone-crushing hug. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, eyes fluttering close in relief as he pulled her close, his chest heaving heavily as he tightened his arms around her.

He pulled away slowly before frantically checking whether she was hurt anywhere - on her arms, face, legs, her back - everywhere.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" He anxiously questioned, worry evident on his face.

"I-" She was rudely interrupted as she bent in half as Jungkook checked her back for any injuries. "I'm fine Jungkook." She finally muttered as she escaped from his clutches.

Jungkook merely stared at her face with a loving look, gratefulness plastered on his face as kept staring at her dreamingly. He sighed in relief while pulling her close before attaching his lips to hers, eyes hovered close as hers widened in shock before slowly wrapping her arms around his neck, eyes closing in ecstasy. There were no fireworks like in romance books but there was a spark - a spark of warmth - an electrifying spark. His chapped lips felt right against hers, a kiss of promise. It was enough to transcend the most powerful poems, enough to showcase his tangible love; It was a kiss that had Y/n melting in his arms as she kissed back. His arms held her like she was going to vanish, not wanting to lose her. Their surroundings vanished, only the two of them holding each other as they took pleasure in each other's company. Their love wrapped them in a protective cocoon, shielding them from the dangers of the world. In that kiss… they were home.

Jungkook slowly pulled away, admiring the lost look on her face with rose kissed lips.

"I love you…" He whispered softly. The confession was soft and intimate like it was meant for Y/n ears only. His voice was as sweet as a chocolate fountain, melodious like the most beautiful song.

"I love you too." She confessed back, a soft smile on her face, mirroring his lovesick look.

Their confession wasn't so much a revelation as it was reassurance. Their love was as tangible as a fluffy blanket, they knew words didn't come close to describe the intensity of their love. However, those words worked like a promise, a promise of realness, a promise of years waiting for them. Their love was like oxygen, like an eternal bond that connected their hearts.

It was the purest love.

He sighed in her hold, feeling utmost comfort as she wrapped a protective arm around his head, making him nuzzle into her enfold. He puckered his lips lazily as he placed a nonchalant peck on her skin, merely enjoying her presence as he slowly drifted back into sleep, a peaceful smile present on his face.

However, as someone cleared their throat, Jungkook whined at the disruption, wanting to sleep a little bit longer. Choosing to ignore the interference, he settled into Y/n's embrace, wanting to drown in comfort for longer.

Unfortunately, the individual had different plans as he cleared his throat once more, louder and more sternly than last time, annoyance evident in the tone. Y/n grumbled as she started to wake up, moving from her previous position, making Jungkook tighten his hold around her, begging for her to stay for a little more time.

After the individual tried for the third time, Jungkook groaned as he reluctantly moved away from Y/n, annoyance tangible on his face at the unwanted visitor. With his furrowed eyebrows and a frown, he squinted an eye open, trying to see who was disturbing them through the blinding lights of the early morning. He scowled as a blurry silhouette of an individual appeared in front of him, clearly making their presence unwanted.

Nevertheless, as the sleep wore off and his sight became clearer, his eyes widened in horror before frantically sitting up, an embarrassed look on his face.

"Mr. H-Hwang! What are you doing here?" He stuttered as he tried to shake off the sleep, trying to make a good impression.

His father-in-law merely looked at him with crossed arms and a displeased expression present on his face as he took in the scene in front of him frowning with annoyance as the half-naked boy subtly tried to cover himself with the blanket.

"The snow blocked the road, honey." He broke his glare that was directed towards Jungkook to softly smile at his daughter. "We came yesterday night, but the two of you were already sleeping."

"Oh no! You should've woken us up. Merry Christmas, by the way!" Y/n smiled cheerfully at her dad as she stretched her back before leaning against Jungkook's chest, finding comfort in his warmth.

"Merry Christmas." Mr. Hwang replied with a gentle smile before giving a stinky eye towards Jungkook at their close proximity, making Jungkook gulp nervously. "Anyways, you guys should get ready. We'll be opening the presents." He mentioned before leaving the room, allowing Jungkook to release a breath that he didn't know he was holding.

"Your father scares me," Jungkook muttered under his breath as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders before pulling her closer, snuggling closer to her.

Y/n giggled at his words, unable to find the truth in his words, before escaping out of his hold to get ready for the day, making Jungkook pout.

"Morning Mrs. Hwang," He politely greeted his mother-in-law with a professional smile on his face. "I hope the journey wasn't too difficult."

"Nonsense! Don't be so formal with me." She dismissed his worries with a joyous glint to her eyes. "I'm just glad we made it in time to celebrate Christmas."

As she picked up the stack of ceramic plates, Jungkook quickly et respectfully intercepted.

"Oh, let me do that for you." He swiftly carried the plates from her hands, making his mother-in-law smile at how gentleman-like he was.

As Jungkook returned the plates back to the kitchen, Mr. Hwang walked up to his wife with a suspicious look on his face, staring at the disappearing figure of Jungkook.

"I don't like him one bit." He stated, disgust laced in his voice, making Mrs. Hwang scoff at her husband's behaviour.

"You're just jealous he's much more of a gentleman than you'll ever be." She turned towards Mr, Hwang with a playfully annoyed expression before she continued. "Don't be so protective over Y/n, she'll be fine. Plus, I think he treats her like a princess." Mrs. Hwang laid a comforting hand on his shoulder with all seriousness as she relayed the message.

"Y/n is in safe hands."

"Can you open my present last?" He mentioned as Y/n reached out for the large beautifully wrapped box that had her name written on it.

Everyone was sitting around the tree, with torn wrapping paper surrounding them as the majority of the presents were already opened. Smiles were prominent on everyone's faces at the festive event as they sat in front of the warmth of the fireplace, wrapped in their thickest clothes, celebrating around the magnificently decorated Christmas tree.

"Okay?" Y/n replied in confusion before reaching out for another present, not questioning Jungkook any further.

With only two more presents left, Y/n reached for the small present wrapped in the signature baby blue paper that her dad had used every Christmas like tradition.

"Oh my!" Y/n gasped out loud with excitement twinkling in her eyes as she recognised the familiar front cover of the latest book that was released a couple of days earlier. "How did you even get this?! This was sold out!"

"Your father knows how much you wanted this, so I had to get it for you." Mr. Hwang gently stated, smiling at Y/n's reaction.

"He means he tortured his poor secretary until he got the book." His wife revealed playfully, causing an eruption of laughter amongst the others as Mr. Hwang sheepishly admitted.

"Anyways, thank you appa." Y/n honestly expressed her grateful feelings before reaching out for Jungkook's gift. "I don't know why you were so secretive about this gift. You didn't even bring in the present until a few minutes." Y/n muttered under her breath with faux annoyance as she tried to hide her curiosity.

"Just be careful," Jungkook warned, nervousness palpable in his tone.

As Y/n quickly yet carefully unwrapped the present, she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion at the sight of the box poked many times to create small holes. Hesitantly, she lifted the box slightly before peaking at the content of the box before gasping dramatically, a hand covering her mouth causing the lid to drop back as she stared at the box.

"You didn't…" She muttered, joyous tears already pooling at what she saw. She looked back at Jungkook, almost asking him if everything was real, making him nod with an anxious smile on his face.

Y/n, with trembling hands, slowly lifted the lid completely as her eyes rested on a small white angora kitten sniffing around the box, curious of its surroundings. Gasps of surprise and awe were heard as the rest of the audience realised what Jungkook's present was.

Y/n carefully picked up the tiny creature like it was the most fragile thing in the world before keeping the kitten on her sweater, watching in amazement as she saw the kitten immediately snuggle up to her, craving the softness of the woolen material.

"Is this for real?" Y/n questioned with a wavering voice as her eyes followed the wandering kitten jump from her lap onto the smooth carpet.

"Yeah, I heard you talking to your friends about wanting a cat and I've always seen you feed the stray cat. So, I figured I should get one for you." He explained warily, unsure about Y/n's reaction. "If you don't like her, we can always return-" He abruptly stopped when a lone tear escaped and trickled down her cheek.

"No, No, don't cry!" He pleaded, kneeling up to get closer to her before wiping off her tears hastily. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- oof"

He let out a grunt as Y/n hugged him with such momentum that Jungkook fell back onto the carpeted floor with a soft thud as his arms automatically wrapped around her waist, ensuring her safety.

"Thank you so much!" Y/n whispered between choked sobs filled with happiness. "I love it a lot." She snuggled against Jungkook, as he sighed in relief.

"Jungkook… You should probably let her go before her dad kills you." Jangmi spoke up, ruining the moment, making Jungkook separate like he touched something burning hot, causing everyone to laugh teasingly at his frightened demeanour.

Y/n giggled as she rested her forehead on his chest before looking up.

"Thank you." She softly muttered while chatter filled the house making Jungkook down at her with a kind smile.

He merely leaned down to press his lips against the crown of her head, eyes fluttering close, enjoying her mere presence.

"Oh, Y/n! You're awake! You're just in time for dinner, I was about to send Jungkook to go and get you." Mrs. Jeon remarked as she set the table with Jungkook, a welcoming smile prominent on her face.

Y/n smiled sheepishly, embarrassed for sleeping so long.

"I'm so sorry about that, I don't know what happened. I usually don't sleep in the afternoon." Y/n shyly apologised, starting to help Jungkook in carrying the plates to the dining table.

"You were tired, you don't have to apologise." Jungkook sternly voiced out, grabbing the ceramic plates from Y/n's hand before continuing. "You should go change. I've kept some clothes of mine on the bed for you." He softly pushed Y/n back upstairs, as he continued setting the table while Mrs. Jeon looked at him with a teasing yet knowing smile.

Y/n slowly rubbed her eyes, washing the remnants of sleep away as she walked towards her bedroom, only to see a small pile of neatly folded clothes for her to wear. Smiling softly, she picked up the clothes and headed towards the bathroom to change.

Jungkook, on the other hand, was now dusting his hands softly as he finished setting the table, eyes scanning through the plates and dishes to make sure nothing was missing. Swiftly pulling his phone out of his back pocket, he looked at the time, before noticing the low battery.

"I'll go and charge the phone." He merely stated to no one in particular before heading upstairs to his room, only to see Y/n come out of the bathroom wearing his clothes.

The shirt was too big, engulfing her tiny body, the sleeves slowly slipping off her shoulders, the end of the shirt falling just above her knees, making her look adorable. However, the shorts were too wide, forcing her to hold the material at the waist to prevent it from falling.

Jungkook merely smiled at the sight, his heart thundering at the meagre sight of her in his clothes.

"Is it too big for you?" He asked the obvious while charging his phone near the bedside table.

"The shirt's fine, but the shorts are a bit too big for me." She stated, pulling the shorts up a little bit more as they started to slide down.

"Come here," He beckoned her to come closer as he sat on the edge of the bed. "let me see if I can adjust the waist."

Y/n simply complied, walking closer to him as he spread his legs to allow Y/n to stand in between his legs. As he held the material of the shorts, Y/n's hands pulled the large shirt up slightly, to prevent it from interfering, making sure little to no skin was shown. He tugged the strings at the waist, before tying it tightly, hoping that the material was secure in its place around her waist. Unfortunately, the minute his hands left the shorts, they slipped from her waist, settling on her hip instead.

"Is that okay?" He asked, his hands merely resting on the sides of her waist as he looked up to her face.

"Yeah, that's fine. Thank you." She gratefully voiced out, releasing the shirt, letting it fall over his hands.

However, Jungkook's hands remained in their place, making Y/n furrow her eyebrows together in confusion, questioning whether Jungkook had something else to do.

"Oh, were you not finished?" She asked, flustered, quickly startling to grab her shirt again, only to pause when she saw Jungkook shake his head.

As she gave him a questioning gaze, he merely smiled back at her, before wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to rest his head on her stomach as he hugged her. Y/n gasped at his sudden actions, a flustered expression plastered on her face as she felt his warm arms against her bare waist.

"W-what are you d-"

"Just let me stay here for a while." He softly spoke, his face relaxed in utmost comfort. "I'm really tired."

She gazed at his face, a small smile present at his calmed expression, as she hesitantly brought a hand to his hair, before combing through it soothingly, making Jungkook sigh in comfort. They remained like that for a while, finding solace in the presence of each other, as a comforting silence loomed over them, engulfing them in a relaxed atmosphere.

"Why are you-" Jangmi barged into the room, her voice boomingly contrasting with the silence, before she abruptly stopped, taking in the scene in front of her. On the other hand, Jungkook and Y/n separated like two like poles of magnets, a shocked and flustered expression on both their faces, as they looked at the intruder with widened eyes.

"I'll just go…" Jangmi quietly said, an awkward expression on her face as she closed the door, before peaking her head through it once more. "Mom told me to call you guys down." She hastily announced with her eyes squeezed shut, before slamming the door close.

It was an awkward silence in the room as the couple stared in shock, trying to decipher what just happened, before Jungkook chuckled slowly, a soft smile on his face. Soon, Y/n joined him as she giggled gently finding the situation extremely funny.

"Let's just go." Jungkook muttered in a teasingly dejected manner as he got up from the bed, wrapping a hand around Y/n's wrist before pulling her with him.

Y/n put the last spoonful of rice in her mouth before scanning the table for the jar of water, only to frown when she spotted the almost empty jar of water.

"I'll just get some water. Please excuse me." She politely stated as she got up from the dining table, grabbing the glass container.

"Oh! I can do it for you-" Jangmi began to offer.

"No, no, it's fine, I can get it." Y/n assured Jangmi before heading off to the kitchen.

In the absence of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jeon placed her chopsticks down before facing her son.

"Will I be getting a grandchild soon?"

From her perspective, this was a simple straightforward question, finding no reason to twist her words around. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for Jungkook. This one question was enough to send Jungkook into a coughing fit, choking on his food, totally surprised at the question.

Y/n was simply exiting the kitchen when she saw Jungkook choking horribly on his food, making her gasp in shock and horror and rush to his aid. Hastily, placing the jar on the table, she consistently tapped his back and held a hand in front of his mouth so that he coughed into her hand rather than on the other food on the table. As his coughing fit slowly died down, Y/n gently poured a glass of water and held it for him to drink before grabbing a tissue to wipe her hand that was filled with food remnants and saliva.

Jangmi hid her laughter at her brother's reaction, only small chuckles escaping, while his parents smiled fondly at him.

"Jesus! I was just gone for 2 seconds, what happened?" Y/n interrogated, bewildered at the entire situation.

"I just asked him if I w-" Mrs. Jeon was rudely interrupted by an extremely flustered Jungkook.

"No!"

Y/n flinched visibly at his sudden outburst, almost shrieking in surprise. She gaped at Jungkook with widened eyes and a hand resting on her chest as she calmed her poor, frightened heart.

"What is up with you?!" Y/n asked, puzzled yet slightly worried for Jungkook.

"N-nothing, she just a-asked if we wanted to go outside t-tomorrow." Jungkook stuttered as he quickly came up with a lie, as he hesitantly finished off his plate.

"That's it? Jungkook, don't be so rude to your mother." She scolded the poor man, slightly slapping his shoulder in a nonchalant manner, making him wince at the soft sting it left. "Eomma, don't listen to him." Y/n turned towards his mother, an exasperated look on her face as a result of Jungkook's behaviour. "We can go outside tomorrow, plus I have to do some Christmas shopping too. Jungkook will definitely come…" She threw a knowing, threatening look towards Jungkook. "Right?" She questioned him menacingly.

"O-of course, I'll come." Jungkook surrendered under Y/n's frightening gaze, cowering in front of his wife.

Mr. Jeon smirked at the power the young girl had over his son, finding it hilarious how Jungkook had immediately agreed.

She is exactly who his son needs.

The doorbell rang, saving Jungkook from the wrath of his wife, as she went towards the door.

Jungkook sighed in relief before glaring at his mother, pleading for her to keep quiet, making her snicker at the poor boy. Although no words were spoken, it was clear to both parties that this was a closed topic… for now.

"Eomma, this came for you." Y/n's voice was muffled and strained as she carried in a huge box, almost covering her face completely.

Seeing this, Jungkook had already gotten up to take the package from her hands, not wanting her to carry such a heavy box.

"What did you buy?" Jungkook questioned incredulously as he held the box with an unbothered expression.

"Just some décor for Christmas. Oh! That reminds me, I have to ask the maids to prepare the guest bedroom for your parents to stay."

"My parents?" Y/n asked, her head tilted to the side as she wore a confused look, excitement crawling into her mind.

"Hmm, they're coming on Christmas Eve." Mrs. Jeon stood up, picking up her empty plate. "Since everyone's already finished, let's clean up."

"Y/n…" He called out in a tired manner, almost sounding whiney. "Let's sleep." He pleaded, wrapping his hand around her wrist before swinging it in a bored fashion.

"I told you, go sleep. I'll come up in a minute, I just need to finish helping you mother." She turned back around to face the books that needed dusting.

Pouting dejectedly, Jungkook headed back upstairs, while Y/n continued placing the books in order. Y/n frowned at Jungkook's unusual behaviour, as she tried to fathom why he needed her so eagerly. Shrugging her thoughts off, she resumed her work, carefully treating each book with the utmost care and respect. While she carried on without a single rest, her hands halted when she saw the cover of an unfamiliar book, making her raise an eyebrow at the cover, curious as to what this book was about.

Slowly picking it up, she turned the book to read the blurb before calling out. "Eomma? Can I read this book?"

At this, Mrs. Jeon who was standing at the other end of the gigantic library, turned around, eyes squinting to recognise the book.

"Sure Y/n, you can do whatever you want." She replied, making Y/n burst into an excited smile, silently squealing at the thought of reading this book.

Jungkook on the other hand was standing next to the door, slyly peaking in the room, a frown prominent on his face.

"What are you doing?" A voice spoke behind him, making him jump at the sudden voice.

"Appa… I was j-just looking for Y/n." He stuttered, looking with wide eyes at his father.

"Well, she's in there." His dad plainly gestured towards the library, knowing there was more to this. "Why are you waiting out here?"

Jungkook stammered, sweating profusely at this interrogation.

"I-I was going to go inside." He mumbled before awkwardly stepping inside the room.

Looking back, he cursed when he saw his dad still staring at him, waiting for him to go talk to Y/n.

"Oh, Jungkook! What are you doing here? I thought you already went up to sleep?" His mother exclaimed in surprise, already making herself over to him. "Do you want something?"

"He was looking for Y/n?" His dad answered for Jungkook, forcing him to curse under his breath before awkwardly nodding in agreement.

"Jungkook? What are you doing here?" He froze when he heard Y/n's voice before taking a breath while closing his eyes to calm himself down, thanking his horrible luck.

"He was looking for you?" Mrs. Jeon answered, causing a confused look to appear on her face.

"Looking for me? But he was just here with me?"

"What? He told me that he was looking for you when I caught him standing at the door?" Mr. Jeon replied, matching Y/n's confused tone.

"Jungkook, what is going on?" His mother questioned him when she realised that he was bluffing.

Jungkook hung his head down in embarrassment and dread before mumbling incoherent words as an answer.

"Talk properly Jungkook."

Jungkook sighed deeply in frustration before confessing. "I can't…" However, the rest of the words were incomprehensible, making the rest question him again.

"I can't sleep without her!" He unwillingly revealed, face red with embarrassment, making Y/n widen her eyes at his outburst.

He exhaled in embarrassment before interlacing his fingers with Y/n's, pulling her away in a rushed manner, desperate to get away from his parents' taunting expression.

"Y/n-ah! Do you know where my blue tie is?!" Bellowed Jungkook from their room while wearing his watch.

Y/n was hurriedly stuffing her bag with her notes and computer, almost being late for class, when he called for her. Hearing her husband's voice, she rolled her eyes before yelling back at him.

After being married to him for almost 4 months, Y/n was quick to realise how much he valued his suits, believing that appearance was crucial for a successful business.

"Did you check the closet?" Y/n strained her voice, to ensure he heard her.

"Obviously Y/n! Come here and help me find it!" Y/n huffed, dropping her bag on the sofa before running upstairs to Jungkook.

She pushed the door open to reveal Jungkook standing, with eyebrows furrowed, a frenzied expression on his face that eased at the presence of Y/n. Y/n quickly walked to the closet, taking wide strides, trying to quickly search for the tie.

"I don't understand why you have to wear that tie specifically. You have so many other ties?" Y/n mumbled, frustrated at Jungkook's behaviour.

"Other ties don't go with this suit!" He reasoned with an exasperated tone laced in his voice.

Y/n rolled her eyes at his response, not understanding his words at all. Nevertheless, she continued searching for the tie, since she knew she was in no place to comment on fashion. To tell the truth, she never could understand why a shirt and a pair of jeans were not deemed fashionable. Sighing, she continued on with her search. Her eyes widened in happiness when she spotted the navy blue colour of the tie. Reaching for it, she pulled it out of his closet and brought it to him.

"Here you go." She said while handing the tie to Jungkook, ready to leave the room.

"Can you do it for me? My hands are sweaty and that will ruin the silk material." Jungkook asked, stopping her from leaving.

Y/n said nothing in response but rolled her eyes at the fashionista and grabbed the tie, ready to tie it for him. She straightened out the tie before looking up at Jungkook, who had walked closer to Y/n. She frowned when she realised how tall he was, his large figure towering our her petite frame.

"Why are you so tall?" Y/n muttered, before looking for a stool to stand on.

Jungkook chuckled at her words, watching her actions with an amused smirk. To be honest, he had always wanted to grow taller, but right now... He loves it... The perfect height to tease Y/n without intimidating her.

Y/n grabbed a nearby stool and stood on it, finally able to reach Jungkook's height, and wrapped the tie around his neck. She unconsciously pulled Jungkook closer, his face inches away from hers. His eyes widened automatically as he registered her close proximity. He stared at her, her milky, soft, bouncy skin, along with her cute nose, and wide eyes that made her resemble a baby fawn. She unconsciously bit her lips as she focused on the task at her hands, not even registering her position. Jungkook stared at her in awe, admiring every bump and flaw, loving how her eyes twinkled beautifully in the daylight. His heart fluttered at the mere presence of Y/n.

Y/n pulled away when she finished, proud of how neat the tie looked, before facing Jungkook, being startled at how he was staring at her.

"W-why are you looking at me like that?" Y/n asked, stuttering at how Jungkook still didn't break his gaze.

"Nothing." Jungkook muttered, a lovestruck smile present on his face.

"Okay... I'm just going to go then. " Y/n said, almost stepping down from the stool.

However, Jungkook acted quickly and unconsciously, grabbing her wrist, pulling her closer than ever. Y/n landed on his chest with a thud, shocked to her core at Jungkook's actions.

"W-what happened?" Y/n managed to get out, however, Jungkook merely continued staring at her.

As the shock slowly died down, Y/n furrowed her eyebrows at Jungkook. What is up with him? She slowly stood up straight, before softly slapping his shoulder.

"Yah… Answer me." She stated warily as Jungkook made no movement, still looking at her with a loving gaze. "If you're not going to do anything, let me go. I have class." She muttered, getting ready to move away.

However, Jungkook had no intention of letting her go. He softly pulled her closer once more, before leaning down to peck her on the forehead. As his soft lips met the cold skin of her forehead, his eyes fluttered close, savouring every single second of the intimacy, never wanting to part. Y/n's eyes widen in shock, the simple movement sending blood rushing to her cheeks, her heart skipping a beat at his unexpected actions.

After what felt like an eternity, he finally pulled away, chuckling slightly at the flustered expression of Y/n, her rosy cheeks faintly resembling a tomato. He slowly nudged Y/n to wake her up from her reverie. She blinked, finally realising that this wasn't a dream.

"Huh?" Y/n said, her brain not functioning properly.

"Don't you have class now? You better go now." Jungkook said, not even addressing his previous actions.

"Huh? Class? O-oh yeah, I d-do have class. B-bye!" Y/n quickly muttered while stepping down from the stool and exiting the room, still captured in a daze, not believing what just happened.

Jungkook dropped the pen on the table with a thud, a shy smile displayed blatantly on his face as he remembered what happened in the morning. His heart fluttered as he pictured the flustered expression of Y/n. Sure, this wasn't the first time, but it was different from last time. This time, he initiated it willingly, it was like he couldn't control his actions, he just followed what his heart told him to do. He played with the tie, a shy smile on his face, like a toddler who just got a kiss from his crush. Squealing, he buried his face in his hands, stomping his feet in an overload of excitement.

Meanwhile, his secretary stood frozen, staring at his boss through the glass walls in shock.

"Is Mr. Jeon available? Our team would like to just pr-" A group of 5 employees who were going to meet Mr. Jeon, stopped in their tracks, mouths opened wide, unable to believe what they were witnessing.

"I-is that Mr. Jeon?" Muttered an employee, still shocked to see their boss curled up on his chair, as he swung himself around playfully, hugging his tie, giggling unconditionally.

"Should we call the security or the doctor?" Asked another, genuinely worried about their boss' health.

"That's what I was thinking." Agreed her colleague.

Secretary Han shook himself from the shock and hesitantly knocked on the door. Jungkook pulled himself together, still not able to hide his smile, as he muttered whoever was at the door to come in.

"M-Mr Jeon, the design team would l-like to meet you. May I let them in?" Secretary Han stammered, not knowing how Mr. Jeon was going to react.

"Sure," Jungkook stated with a bounce in his joyous voice.

Secretary Han slightly open the door and indicated the employees to enter. The team slowly and hesitantly entered the room, wary at Mr. Jeon's completely weird behaviour.

"S-sir, we have finished the design of the lounge. We were wondering if you could review it?" One employee muttered.

"Sure, you guys may leave." The group turned to leave before Jungkook called one out. "Mr. Kwon, you just had a baby right?" Everyone was shocked at his question. Never did Mr. Jeon ask nor care about the employees' personal life.

"Uh, y-yes S-sir." Mr. Kwon stuttered, confused at the sudden question.

"You should spend more time with your wife. You should take the rest of the day off. You know what? All of you can take the rest of the day off, you all have worked hard."

At his words, the employees' eyes enlarged, whispers and mutters of exclamation left their mouths, absolutely dumbfounded at Mr Jeon's newly-found generosity.

"A-ah yes. T-thank you so much." Mr. Kwon replied in surprise, staggered at Mr. Jeon's words. The employees bowed in a rushed manner, before scurrying out.

"Mr. Jeon is definitely not okay." Secretary Han said while walking back to his desk, shaking his head in worry.

Jungkook was happily in dreamland, replaying moments from today morning when he was rudely interrupted by a phone call. He widened his eyes when he saw that it was his dad calling him. He quickly answered the call and brought the phone close to his ear.

"Yes, Mr. Jeon?" Answered Jungkook, a professional tone prominent in his voice.

"Aish! Yah! I am your dad! Not Mr. Jeon!" Replied Mr. Jeon, annoyed at his son's cold personality.

"Yes, dad?" Jungkook merely corrected himself, causing Mr. Jeon to roll his eyes.

"Christmas is coming up. We were thinking if we could all go to Busan and stay at our holiday home to celebrate?"

"Sure, I'll ask Y/n if she can do that."

"If possible, why don't you join us at the Mall at around 4? We have to do some shopping before we go."

"Okay, bye dad," Jungkook said, hanging up the call before Mr. Jeon could say anything else.

He quickly dialed Y/n number, and brought the phone to his ear, the constant ringing increasing his heartbeat, excited to hear his wife's adorable voice.

"Hello? May I know who this is?" Y/n's voice was heard, slightly hushed.

"Did you not save my phone number?!" Jungkook was annoyed, angered at the fact that his number was not saved.

"Sorry! You never called me before!" She exclaimed, trying to justify her words.

"Anyway, are you free for the next few days?"

"Yeah, my winter holidays start tomorrow. Why?" Y/n questioned, confused as to why Jungkook was asking this.

"My parents would like to get together in Busan for Christmas. Would you be okay to go?"

"Oh yeah, sure."

"Just pack a couple of clothes, enough for 2 weeks, and I'll come to pick you up at 3.30 pm. My parents will be waiting for us at the mall by 4, so would that be okay with you?"

"I guess?" Y/n replied, an unsure tone prominent in her voice.

"Y/n, are you sure you're okay with this?" Jungkook asked gently, not wanting to pressurise her.

"No no, it's perfectly fine. I'm just thinking about what all I should pack and all."

"Oh, Y/n! Could you also pack my bag? I have a meeting later on that I can't miss."

"Okay, don't be late." Y/n lectured him, making him chuckle at her adorable behaviour.

"Sure, just wait for me outside."

"Okay! Bye!" She hung up the phone before he could reply.

Jungkook stared at the phone, Y/n's contact displaying on his screen, making him chuckle at her behaviour.

Y/n looked at her wristwatch, indicating that it was 5 minutes after 3.30, making her roll her eyes at the lack of his punctuality. She huffed before readjusting the bag on her shoulder and tightening her grip on the strap of the second bag.

She rolled her eyes when she saw a glossy black-coated car roll up the street at 3.50 pm. She pursed her lips at the driver, not impressed.

Jungkook hastily got out of the car, an apologetic expression direct towards Y/n.

"I'm so sorry Y/n, the meeting was longer than I had expected. I didn't mean to be so late.

Y/n merely hummed before walking towards the trunk of the car, opening it to drop the heavy bags in.

"Y/n-ah," He called out. "I'm sorry. Did you wait outside for a long time?"

"It's not that. You had agreed to meet your parents at 4, and now it is almost 4. We will never reach there on time. What will you parents say?!" Y/n said exasperatedly.

Jungkook chuckled while walking closer to Y/n and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer.

"My parents won't think anything bad of you. They love you." Jungkook softly said, calming down Y/n.

"Nevertheless, I don't like to be late." Y/n huffed, turning away from Jungkook.

Jungkook turned her around, making her face him, before bending down to her level, looking her straight at the eye.

"I got it. I'm sorry, I won't be late again."

At Jungkook's words, Y/n pouted, hiding an emerging smile.

"Whatever. Let's just go." She said, before climbing into the passenger seat. Jungkook chuckled, following her actions as he sat in the driver's seat, starting the car once again.

"They're not done yet. They told us to just wait at the ice cream shop nearby." Jungkook informed Y/n, sliding his phone into his pocket after calling his parents.

"I told you, nothing would happen if we are late."

"Jungkook! Regardless of what would happen, we should always try to be on time. That is our responsibility and my principle." Y/n responded, anger still present in her words.

"I said I'm sorry! Should I buy you some Ice cream?" Jungkook tried to win Y/n back as they walked into the ice cream shop.

However, Y/n merely pouted, huffing at Jungkook's words, completely ignoring him.

"If you don't answer, I'll just buy some for myself."

"Do whatever you want, just don't talk to me." Y/n stated before storming off to an empty seat.

Jungkook rolled his eyes playfully at y/n's behaviour before walking off to the counter to order ice cream.

Y/n played with her fingers, bored at her seat all alone, annoyed at the fact that she was late for her first meeting with her in-laws after marriage. She shifted her eyes from her hands to her side when she felt someone sit next to her. Her eyes widened when she saw Jungkook sitting next to her, holding only one cup of ice cream.

Wah! Did he really buy ice cream just for himself?!

"Did you- seriously?!" Y/n exclaimed in disbelief.

"Why? Did you want one?" Jungkook asked, a small yet playfully teasing smirk present on his face.

"N-no, it's okay." Y/n looked down at her lap, knowing her behaviour brought her to this position. She had no one to blame but her.

A pout unconsciously formed on her face, an adorable expression as she regretted her actions. Jungkook silently laughed at Y/n's dejected face, as he sadistically gulped down a spoon of ice cream.

Y/n was continuously cursing herself when she saw a spoon of ice cream in front of her. She looked at Jungkook who was holding out a spoon, with widened eyes at Jungkook's considerate actions.

"I know you want some. Let's just share this cup, okay? Forgive me." Jungkook stated, with the softest tone he could muster.

Y/n opened her mouth and ate the ice cream, with a sheepish smile directed towards Jungkook. Jungkook smiled seeing her accept the ice cream. He rested the arm holding the tub of ice cream on Y/n's shoulder, while he used the other hand to feed Y/n, taking a few bites himself. His actions had pulled Y/n closer, making her almost crushed against his side. However, Y/n didn't even realise this herself, merely feeling comfortable in his embrace, she unconsciously snuggle closer to Jungkook.

As the couple talked about their day, they inattentively nuzzled up against each other, finding comfort in each other's arms. A bright smile that was foreign to Jungkook had found residence on his face as he talked to Y/n, who was listening solicitously to every single word. They soon forgot about their surroundings, focused only on each other, savouring every moment in each other's company.

While Y/n was now whining about her day, she took a pause as Jungkook fed her another spoon of ice cream, before continuing cursing her professor. However, a small amount of ice cream was on the corner of her lips. Jungkook dropped the spoon in the almost empty cup of ice cream before bringing his thumb to wipe off the ice cream, still attentively listening to her words. He wiped it off and brought it to his lips to lick it clean. While Y/n didn't register his actions, three people did see it very clearly, causing them to erupt in hushed giggles, fangirling over Jungkook's actions.

At the entrance of the ice cream stood Mr. and Mrs. Jeon along with Jangmi, all focused on the scene in front of them.

"Honey! Did you see what he just did?!" Mrs. Jeon latched onto Mr. Jeon's arm, gushing over the couple.

"Eomma, when did he last smile like that? Aigoo, why are they so cute?!" Jangmi exclaimed, hiding her blushing face in her mother's shoulder, feeling shy at how romantic her cold brother actually was.

Although Mr. Jeon remained relatively quiet, he had a content and proud look on his face, while thinking, 'I made the right decision.'.

Nevertheless, Mr. Jeon pulled out his phone and dialed Jungkook's number. They watched as Jungkook pulled out his phone from his pocket and answered the call.

"Yes, dad? Are you guys done?" Jungkook questioned, still smiling at whatever Y/n was talking about.

"Oh yeah, are you guys at the ice cream shop?" Mr. Jeon asked, hiding that they had seen the adorable interaction between the couple.

"Hmm, we are here. Should we wait outside for you guys?"

"Don't worry we'll come there in a bit," Jungkook muttered a quiet bye, before keeping his phone away, not even looking away from Y/n for even a second, a loving gaze prominent in his eyes.

Seeing the container of ice cream almost empty, he brought the tub to his lips, sipping the remaining melted ice cream, giving a side glance at Y/n before removing the container and bringing it to her lips instead, making her gulp down the remaining, not even caring about the fact that they were indirectly kissing. One hand, held the back of her head carefully while she drank the melted ice cream, observing cautiously to make sure no ice cream dripped down her face.

Someone clearing their throat caught their attention, forcing them to look up, only to see Jangmi staring at them with a suggestive smirk.

"Oh Unnie!" Y/n exclaimed in delight at Jangmi's presence, forcing Jungkook to separate from Y/n at the unwanted interruption.

"Oh Y/n-ah, you have some at the corner of the lips. Ask Jungkook to wipe it off!" She exclaimed, looking at Jungkook with a knowing look.

At her words, Jungkook's eyes widen as he realised she saw everything.

"O-oh, y-you saw it?" Jungkook questioned, his voice low and embarrassed.

"Saw what?" Y/n queried, confused as the siblings exchanged looks.

"N-nothing Y/n-ah, Jangmi's just being weird." Jungkook hastily said, swiftly grabbing a tissue nearby to wipe the corners of Y/n's mouth, wanting her to get away from his sister.

"Sure." Jangmi dragged out, earning a deadly gaze from Jungkook, shutting her up immediately.

"Let's go, Y/n-ah." He grabbed Y/n's hand, quickly throwing the tissue in a nearby bin before dragging her out of the store, eager to get away from his sister.

Jangmi chuckled at the flustered actions of her brother, proud to realise that he was no longer the monotonous, cold boy. She slowly followed behind them, chuckling at the duo, a sisterly smile on her face.

As the couple exited the store, Jungkook saw his parents talking among each other while sitting on a bench nearby. He walked towards Mr. and Mrs. Jeon, desperate to get away from the clutches of his sister, still holding Y/n's hand tightly, his huge fingers wrapped around Y/n's small hand.

"Hello mom, are you guys done with shopping."

Mrs. Jeon stopped talking to her husband to look at the couple standing in front of her, quickly glancing at their hands before looking back up at Jungkook.

"Oh, Jungkook! We're nearly done. We just wanted to buy the two of you some clothes."

"Mrs. Jeon, that isn't necessary." Y/n started off politely, not wanting to hurt Mrs. Jeon's feelings.

"How many times did I tell you?" Mrs. Jeon questioned with a playful glare directed at Y/n. "Call me Eomma… we are a family after all."

Feeling absolutely flattered by her words, Y/n giggle shyly, snuggling more into Jungkook's side. Jungkook looked at her reaction with a loving gaze, adoring how she interacted with his family. He just wanted to pull her into a bone-crushing hug right then and there. However, he was rudely interrupted when he felt someone slap his butt. He rolled his eyes and looked back at the only person who would dare to do so: Jangmi. He pursed his lips in annoyance and raised an eyebrow, questioning the reason for her actions. She merely smirked and pointed to their hands with her eyes, teasing the poor guy for the slightest display of PDA. He poked his tongue against his inner cheek, before intertwining his hand with Y/n's, sending Jangmi a challenging glare. Jangmi raised an eyebrow, a smirk present at her brother's actions. The audacity of Jungkook's actions left her speechless. He turned back around, ignoring Jangmi's presence, and pulled Y/n slightly closer together. Although Mrs. Jeon was immersed in a conversation with Y/n, Mr. Jeon observed Jungkook's every action, a smirk forming at his son's behaviour.

Mr. Jeon stood up, saving his son from the hands of Jangmi, momentarily pausing Mrs. Jeon's conversation.

"Honey let's quickly get going, otherwise it will be too late."

"Oh yes, let's go quickly." Mrs. Jeon exclaimed as she realised the time. She quickly adjusted the strap of her handbag before scurrying off to a nearby store. Mr. Jeon rolled his eyes playfully at his wife's reaction, before following her.

Jungkook pulled Y/n closer before walking behind his parents. Y/n widened her eyes at his actions, questioning his sudden change in behaviour, before shrugging her thoughts off.

"Yeah mom, we have a spare tire in the trunk. We'll be okay." Jungkook mentioned on the phone as he opened the door of the car to get out. "Hmm, okay, bye."

They were stuck in the middle of a deserted road, with no other cars or shops present. He ended the call, before sliding the phone pocket, kneeling down on one knee to inspect the tire. Curiously, Y/n stepped out, worried about what happened.

"Is it okay?" She merely questioned as she saw Jungkook roll up the sleeves of his white button-down shirt.

"It's a flat tire. Could you open the trunk of the car, we have a spare tire there and a toolbox."

Y/n quickly opened the trunk, eyes skimming through the luggages and shopping bags, before spotting a black and yellow toolbox. She quickly grabbed it as Jungkook stood up from the ground to carry the spare tire.

"You sure you know how to do this?" She asked warily, as she placed the toolbox on the floor, looking at Jungkook with a questioning gaze.

"Obviously." He merely stated as he brought the tire out, kneeling down to open the toolbox.

Y/n watched carefully as Jungkook started to replace the tire, often getting distracted by his muscular forearm. While, Jungkook on the other hand, smirked when he saw her looking at him so closely, radiating gloriously at the idea of impressing her.

However, while the couple was immersed with each other, both of them had failed to realise that the trunk was wide open, inviting a group of people, their sole motive to steal the bags. As one of them crept slowly like a mouse towards the trunk, snickering at how foolish the rich couple was being, neither one of them had noticed.

Unknowingly, Y/n turned around to close the trunk when she heard the plastic bags rustling, blaming the innocent wind. However, shocked, she gasped horrifyingly at the sight of a thief stealing their bags, legs frozen at the uninvited appearance. Cursing, the thief dropped all the bags except one and started running, hoping to salvage one bag at least.

"Hey!" Y/n screamed when she was realised that it was her bag in the clutches of the stranger. She ran behind him with a ferocity she had never experienced before. "Stop there!"

Hearing such a ruckus, Jungkook looked up while he finished off the tire, only to witness the whole scene unfolding. It was only after Y/n ran after him, did he shake off the shock, running after Y/n in worry. Fortunately, he had easily caught up with Y/n, pulling her back by wrapping an arm around her, restraining her from running behind him.

"What the hell do you think you were doing?!" He frantically questioned, flabbergasted at how she had easily ran after the thief.

"He ran away with my bag," Y/n stated in frustration and annoyance, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, unable to fathom why he had stopped her rather than running after her, as she watched the guy escape.

"So?! What would you do if he had a knife or a weapon? Would you just risk your life?! Don't you dare be so careless again!" He chastised, his voice stern with eyes furiously glaring at Y/n.

Y/n slightly cowered, intimidated by his booming voice, not knowing why she was being reprimanded when she did nothing wrong. Jungkook's eyes widened when he saw this, immediately releasing his grip around her waist to softly wrap an arm around her shoulders as he pulled her into a comforting hug.

"No, no, shush… I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get angry at you, I was just scared if you would get hurt. People can be dangerous." He whispered in her ear, trying to soothe her down.

"But he stole my bag! Am I not supposed to do anything about that?!" She countered back, glaring in vexation at the situation.

"You can… but don't endanger yourself. I don't know what I would do if my wife got hurt." He uttered, poking her nose softly with his index finger, trying to lighten the mood. "Plus, those were just clothes. I can buy those for you again."

"My signed book copy of Six of Crows was in that bag. That was really precious." She pouted to hide the tremble in her lips at the remembrance of her lost book.

"Shh…" He pulled her into a hug once again. "It's going to be okay. I'm sorry, I didn't know."

"You don't have to be, it was my fault." She exhaled, before pulling herself away, embarrassment prominent in her face at the fact that she was acting like a baby for such a small matter. "What am I going to wear now?"

"You can always wear some of my clothes and I'm pretty sure Jangmi will have some clothes for you. Come, let's get in the car." He led her inside the car, before closing the door and returned all the tools and tires, shutting the trunk of the car, before entering the driving seat himself.

"Oh no! Is Y/n alright?" Mrs. Jeon exclaimed in a hushed whisper as she stared at the unconscious figure in the car seat.

"She's fine mom!" Jungkook stated in an exasperated manner. "She's just sleeping."

"Jeez! Can't a mother be worried for her daughter?!" She muttered with a pout. "I'll get your bag while you wake her up then."

"I want her to rest a little bit more." He remarked before opening the passenger door, making Mrs. Jeon confused as to what he was going to do.

She gasped dramatically at the sight of her son carefully carrying Y/n in his hands, making sure she didn't wake up, with utmost concentration as he carried her upstairs. As he passed by his family, all the gasps were ignored as he continued upstairs to his bedroom, his sister gaping at him with widened eyes, her jaw-dropping at the scene.

"What on Earth did I just witness?" His mother whispered to her daughter.

"Is he the same brother who blocked my nose so I would suffocate to wake me up?" She frowned in faux jealousy at how different he treated his wife, before bursting into quiet squeals.

"I can't believe he changed so much!" Mrs. Jeon nodded excitedly in agreement, a wide smile present on both their faces.

"Honestly, I thought he didn’t even have a heart."

"Oh, he has a heart… just for Y/n."

He awkwardly cleared his throat at the uncomfortable silence as they stepped inside their apartment. dropping his keys on the turquoise coloured clay bowl only to create a clashing sound, before turning around to face Y/n who was awkwardly standing at the entrance.

"U-um, welcome to my house, I g-guess." He started, officially welcoming her.

"Thanks, nice house." Y/n muttered before cursing at herself at how stupid she sounded.

She slipped off her heels, freeing her feet from the constant pain before picking up her luggage and walking inside. The interior was entirely different from her house; The floors and walls were tiled with white marble, golden streaks bring a luxurious atmosphere, the furniture was made from leather, priceless crystal centrepieces strategically placed without making the place tacky. It was elegant, the theme of white evident. That last thing Y/n wanted to was dirty the place.

"Our room is the last door in the corridor, it has an attached bathroom and a walk-in closet. Most of your stuff is already there, so you can unpack and change there. I'll be right back with the rest of the presents from the car." He politely mentioned as he pointed towards the correct direction, before turning around.

Before hearing her reply, he had already left, leaving her flustered and awkward at the unfamiliar environment. Her eyes wandered around the house, astonished at how gracefully sophisticated the penthouse was, before heading towards the room she thought was the master bedroom. It was safe to say that she was distracted. The ceiling windows in the living room were mesmerisingly breathtaking, providing an enthralling view of the night sky, decorated with the silhouette of the city's skyscrapers. She was speechless at the view.

Shaking herself from her reverie, she continued her journey to the bedroom, only to be confused when she saw two doors opposite each other, both at the end of the corridor. She had a puzzled expression as she tried to decipher which was the main bedroom. She turned around to completely face one door before turning a complete 180 degrees to face the other door, visually examining the doors, wishing she had the powers to see through the wooden doors. Sighing in despair, she reached out for one of the door handles, at the probability that she had a 50% chance of getting this right.

As she twisted the door handle, a voice interrupted her actions, causing her to flinch slightly at the sudden voice.

"That's my study." She turned around to face Jungkook, who was carrying huge beautifully wrapped presents. "The other door is our bedroom."

"O-oh sorry," She apologised, hastily retracting her hand like the cold metal of the handle was scorching hot, before turning around to face the other door and opening it.

The room she entered was juxtaposing. The floors were tiles with grey wooded panels, the black backdrop contrasting beautifully with the white painting of a swan placed above the headboard of the bed. The lights were minimalistic and simple but added a golden glow to the bedroom with the warm light gracefully accentuating the brown and black pillow covers and bedding. The walk-in closet placed at the corner of the bedroom, the warm led strip lights glowing from the garment rails and shelving, giving her a glimpse of his shirts hanging. The theme of black was welcoming and comforting.

"Uhh, sorry I didn't have time to alter to interiors. If you don't like it, you're welcome to change it?" Jungkook offered while placing the boxes of presents on the floor before straightening up, standing close to her, his chest brushing the back of her shoulders.

However, Y/n merely looked back up at his face, a soft smile present on her face as she replied.

"No, it's fine. I really like it." Jungkook reciprocated the smile, relishing the aura of comfort that surrounded her.

The two of them were now lying in bed as exhaustion washed over them after the tiringly long day. Jungkook had fallen asleep long ago, wafting peacefully in his dream. However, the same could not be said for Y/n. She stifled a yawn as she watched the clock strike at 3 am. She was fatigued and tired, so sleepy that her eyes couldn't even open. Unfortunately, she just wasn't able to fall asleep. Perhaps it was the new bedroom, maybe it was the fact that she wasn't alone in the bed, worried every single movement could wake him up. Y/n quietly and softly tossed again, trying to make herself comfortable, only to feel winded up by the sliver of cold air that touched her feet due to her constant movement.

Unfortunately, all this hustle had disturbed Jungkook, as he fluttered his eyes open only to see Y/n struggling to fix the blanket without getting up or making too much movement.

"What are you doing?" His voice was deep and raspy, sleep laced in his tone.

Y/n yelped at the sudden voice, falling back on the bed with a thud, her eyes wide open.

"Can you not sleep?" He quietly asked, stifling a snicker at Y/n's reaction.

"Hmm, did I wake you up? I'm sorry, I was trying not to make big movements…" Y/n replied, regret tangible in her voice for waking him up.

"It's fine," He closed his eyes back again, before pulling Y/n close to him, fingers softly combing through her hair as he tried to lull her back to sleep. "close your eyes. If you still can't sleep then wake me up and I'll get you a warm glass of milk, okay? Right now, try to sleep."

Y/n was shocked at his actions, her cheek smushed against his chest, his warmth already calming her mind.

Jungkook was never someone to do this, always hating anyone who disturbed his sleep. However, he surprised himself when he found himself hugging her, pacifying her to sleep.

'She has to sleep for me to sleep.' He reasoned with himself, and there was no other reason for his actions. However, he knew that he was lying to himself.

As his fingers moved in a rhythmic and repetitive movement, Y/n found her eyes threatening to close, allayed by the embrace of warmth. She sighed relaxingly, comforted by his actions, as she slowly fell asleep, unconsciously scooching closer to the source of warmth, making Jungkook smile at her adorable actions, before he too followed her into sleep.

"Y/n!" He called from the doorway, fixing his suit with a disapproving look on his face, as he checked his watch once again.

It had been a month after their wedding and while Jungkook had returned to his work the day after, Y/n had spent her time doing volunteering and doctor shadowing, trying to rid boredom during her holidays.

However, it was now time for the start of her new semester, and to much disappointment, most of her classes were morning classes, forcing her to wake up extremely early. Jungkook had kindly offered to drop her before he went to the office, making sure she didn't get lost with the new location and route. Unfortunately, he was unaware that it was part of her routine to snooze her alarm more than 10 times, leading her to be late.

"I'm coming!" Y/n shouted back, swinging her tote bag onto her shoulders, hastily stuffing her notebook that was filled with loose papers and looked extremely used and torn.

She ran towards the entrance, quickly handing her ID to Jungkook, briskly saying, "Can you keep this for me?"

Jungkook pursed his lips together as he looked at the blue lanyard that was attached to her student ID before looking back up, watching Y/n run past him to wear her shoes, only to head outside with her shoes half-worn, a goofy yet sheepish smile headed his way.

"I never would have offered if I knew you were going to be late." He mumbled as stuffed the ID in his pocket before he unlocked the car by touching the handle of the passenger seat's door and opening the door for her before heading to his side.

"Sorry!" She skittishly replied as she hopped into his car, not a tone of remorse present in her voice.

Jungkook rolled his eyes playfully before getting into the car himself, plopping his briefcase onto Y/n lap, which she gladly took, wrapping an arm around the black leather material, securing the bag on her lap.

They were accustomed to each other, already used to this as Jungkook had often picked her up from the hospital as he left work for the day. Unconsciously, Jungkook had stopped working till late nights, leaving the office precisely on time, only to pick up Y/n.

Almost as if it was a routine, Jungkook laid one hand on her thigh as he started the car, while Y/n paid no mind to it, focused on scrambling through her bag, making sure she didn’t forget anything.

"I'll come to pick you up at the end, okay? So don't take the bus home."

"Huh? Oh okay." Y/n mindlessly replied, still searching thoroughly in her bag.

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows at her nonattentive response, quickly sneaking a glance to check what was keeping her so preoccupied.

"What are you searching for?" He questioned, turning his attention back on the road.

"I don't think I brought a pen." She pouted to herself, before continuing. "It's fine. I'll just ask the person sitting next to me to lend me one. He always has tons of stationery."

"Why are you so disorganised for your first day back? Ah, forget it. Just open the dashboard, I'm pretty sure I have one there." He mumbled while pointing to where the pen was.

Y/n opened the dashboard, only to see papers stacked extremely neatly and a long cardboard box in the corner.

"Why are you so organised? Anyway, I don't see a pen here."

"It's in that box there." He easily dismissed her complaints.

"Mont blanc! Why is everything so expensive with you?! Are you so incapable of using a normal cello pen?"

"Business goes a lot smoother when others see that you are rich enough to afford things like that. Just be careful, I think that it was worth around 400 dollars."

"400 DOLLAR- you know what, I'm not even surprised anymore." She shook her head in faux disappointment, placing the pen back in the box, before carefully placing the box in her bag, handling the product with the utmost care, not wanting to damage such an expensive pen.

Jungkook rolled his eyes playfully once more as he rolled up in front of the campus.

"Thanks for the ride." She held a hand out. "Can I have my…" The remainder of her sentence got muffled as bent down, to fix her shoes with her other hand, leaving Jungkook slightly confused.

'What did she want?' He questioned as he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, incredulously staring at the palm of her hand.

Confused, he hesitantly held her palm and leaned down to kiss the soft skin of her hand.

"Is t-that what you wanted?" His cheeks reddened with fluster and embarrassment.

Y/n just stared at him in shock, her eyes widened comically, as she registered his actions.

"I just, w-wanted my ID." She stuttered, too flustered to say anything else.

"O-oh, y-your ID." He hastily reached out into his back pocket to bring out her laminated ID and briskly placed it on her hand, as Y/n got out of the car in a flustered manner, the blush prominent on her cheeks.

"Well then, s-see you later." She quickly muttered before rushing away, leaving Jungkook to wallow in embarrassment, cursing his stupid nature.

Jungkook groaned in internal agony, cursing himself as he banged his head against the steering wheel in frustration, yelping when he accidentally honked the car. He quickly looked up to check if anyone had seen him, before he quickly drove out of the campus, desperate to get away.

"CEO Jeon, are you okay?" Secretary Han politely asked as he watched his boss repetitively hit his head against the wooden material of his desk.

He groaned out loud, startling the poor secretary for he had never heard Jungkook make a sound like that.

"Secretary Han…" Jungkook called out, lifting his head to look at the elderly man with a pitiful expression, momentarily pausing his actions of harming himself. "I think I'm going to die!"

Secretary Han widened his eyes, quickly rushing to CEO Jeon in confusion and worry, astonished at how informal and childish he was being.

"What happened CEO Jeon?!"

"If you kiss someone, will they forever hate you?"

Secretary Han was surprised by the sudden question, not expecting such a topic troubling his boss so much.

"Depends on the situation and who exactly you are kissing. If it is your wife you are kissing, it would not be so much of a problem, compared to a random stranger."

"No! It would have been so much better if it was a stranger." Jungkook whined like a toddler, leaning against the cold surface of the table in despair.

Secretary Han smiled at the revelation of him being so worked up for kissing his wife.

"She's your wife, sir. As long as you didn't force her… you didn't force her, did you?"

"Of course not! She just held out her h-hand," He sat up straight while putting a hand out, demonstrating with doe-like eyes highlighting his innocence. "and I thought she wanted me to kiss her hands, so I… Ahh! I don't even want to think about it!" He muttered, before plopping back onto the desk.

"H-her hand?" Secretary hid a smile at how serious he was being over a kiss on the hand.

"CEO Jeon, did she pull her hand away and scream in disgust?" Secretary Han questioned him rhetorically, raising an eyebrow to emphasise how obvious the answers were.

"N-no? She just s-stayed there like I was an alien. Ugh! Why am I such an idiot?!"

"Did she get mad at you?"

"No," Jungkook pouted at the situation, despair filling up his body. "but Y/n is such a sweet girl, she wouldn't even say a word if I accidentally harmed her. She would never say anything."

Jungkook justified why he was in such a dilemma, causing a chuckle to escape from Secretary Han's mouth.

"Sir, that is because she cares for you. Do you think she will be silent if a random boy kissed her?"

"I don't think I will remain quiet if someone else kissed her." Jungkook muttered, before quietly replying, "No, she wouldn't keep quiet."

"See CEO Jeon, she likes you and is not repulsed by you. Honestly, I had thought you guys had done more than hand-kissing." He muttered under his breath earning a glare from the younger one.

Jungkook registered his secretary's words, before awkwardly clearing his throat, sitting up straight, the stoic expression returning to his face.

"Thank you, Secretary Han, you may leave now." The elder man merely smiled politely before heading outside, only to be stopped once again by Jungkook. "I would l-like this conversation to remain confidential."

"Of course sir." He replied, a cheeky yet teasing smile on his face as he bowed farewell, before exiting the room.

Y/n, on the other hand, had completely malfunctioned, only managing to form sentences that were put together by Yoda, a stuttering mess. Her cheeks were permanently sprayed with a crimson shade, as she replayed the event over and over again in her mind, causing her flustered actions never to cease.

She had attended all the lessons but had not paid attention to any of them, merely giggling to herself as she replayed the movement. She mindlessly doodled small smiley faces on her book, completely ignoring her professor, even though she was pretty sure he had called upon her once.

She was in her own little daydream.

"Y/n!" A tall girl called out, making Y/n furrow her eyebrows as she looked around trying to decipher who was calling her.

Y/n's eyes widened when she realised who was calling her: Kang Jiho. She was the daughter of the dean, with almost perfect grades and perfect life. Everyone aspired to be her. She wore her hair down, styled to perfection, not at all looking like the rest of the lifeless med school students. A bright smile tangible on her face, proudly showing off her pearly white teeth. She wore pastel lilac coloured wide-legged jeans, emphasising her long legs with a tightly cropped cardigan to accentuate her silhouette.

While Y/n was never close with her, acquaintances through projects and class discussions, but never more than that, which made her confused as to why she was calling her name out right now.

"Hey Jiho, what's up?" Y/n briefly greeted her, readjusting her bag on her shoulder.

"Who's car was that today morning? You aren't the type to have fancy cars, do you have a boyfriend?" She paused only to gasp dramatically, slightly shocking Y/n at the sudden movement. "Do you have a sugar daddy?!" She exclaimed loudly, earning stares from people nearby.

"W-what, n-" Y/n was rudely interrupted by another student.

"Who has a sugar daddy?" Jiho's friend, who was walking by, questioned.

"Y/n! What happened to the poor, naïve Y/n I know?" Jiho answered definitively, making Y/n frown befuddled at the turn the conversation's suddenly taken.

It was like a flock of birds, worthy to be a movie scene as Y/n merely stared in disbelief, speechless as to what was happening. She was surrounded by gasps and whispers, judgmental questions and stares, making her feel overwhelmed and intimidated as everyone towered and cornered her.

"She doesn't have a sugar daddy, she has a husband." A deep voice interrupted the crowd of hushed whispers and comments, making them turn to the individual, staring in shock and surprise.

Y/n turned around sharply at the familiar voice, widening her eyes as she saw Jungkook standing there with an unimpressed expression.

"Husband?" Jiho questioned, bewildered by the shocking information.

"Hmm," Jungkook replied, his voice cold as ice. "and if you don't mind, my wife and I will be leaving." He merely stated, stressing the word wife, before wrapping a possessive arm around Y/n's waist, pulling her away with him, as the rest of the crowd stared speechlessly.

Y/n giggled at the turn of events making Jungkook turn towards her, looking at her incredulously.

"Why are you giggling?" He questioned, making Y/n face him with a bright smile plastered on her face, his arm still placed on her waist.

"That was funny. Did you see their faces? I could never have been able to do that."

"Seriously?! You never would have told them that I was your husband?" He asked, slightly annoyed.

"I mean they will soon forget about it, there's no reason for me to correct them." Y/n shrugged nonchalantly making Jungkook roll his eyes at her.

"Next time, I want you to correct them. I don't want them to think that my wife has a sugar daddy."

Y/n merely smiled lovingly at his possessive nature before nodding in agreement.

"And Jungkook, thank you for helping me back there."

"You're welcome, I'll always be there to help you."

"I can't believe you're marrying my brother!" Jangmi, Jungkook's sister exclaimed.

In response, Y/N merely gave an awkward smile through the mirror, unable to move because of the make-up artist.

"Y/n-ah, listen to your unnie, reject this offer. Don't marry him. He's such a co- ahh!" She was interrupted by Mrs Jeon twisting her ear.

"Shut your mouth and don't scare the young lady!" Mrs Jeon said, with an expression of sternness, but the tone was detectably playful.

Y/n desperately wanted to be a part of the joyful banter, but she restrained herself, not wanting to intrude. The truth is, she loved the idea of expanding her family, more loved ones to care about. Nevertheless, she watched the duo with longing eyes, merely smiling at the adorable interaction. Mrs Jeon suddenly turned towards Y/n, with a loving smile that melted Y/n right there.

"Y/n, there's nothing you have to worry about. My son is a fine gentleman." Mrs Jeon exclaimed with a proud expression.

Y/n smiled and nodded politely yet shyly in response, a kind look in her eyes, indicating that she was not regretting her decision of accepting this proposal. She was a sucker for family interactions like this, absolutely loving every single moment from the bottom of her heart.

'If Jungkook-ssi is anything like his mother, I don't think I would ever regret this.' Y/N thought, a shy smile appearing on her face as she looked down to conceal her flushed expression.

"Ooh, what is our Y/n thinking about? Are you thinking about my brother?" She bent down to Y/n level, a smirk blatantly displayed to accompany the suggestive tone of her voice.

At Jangmi's words, Y/n widened her eyes, a red colour rushing to her cheeks at the idea of being caught, resulting in her merely opening and shutting her mouth helplessly. At her actions, Jangmi squealed, fangirling over Y/n's shy yet adorable actions.

"Oh my gosh, why are you so cute?!" She squealed, stretching her arms to pinch Y/n's cheeks. Her hands were rudely swatted away by the make-up artist, who gave her a knowing look, causing Jangmi to sheepishly laugh while standing up straight.

At Jangmi's silly antics, Y/n let out a slight giggle, finding Jangmi's actions adorable.

"Oh my god, you are so cute!! You know, if anything happens between you and Jungkook, don't worry. I will adopt you." At her words, Mrs Jeon gasped dramatically before slapping Jangmi's butt.

"Don't say things like that!" She exclaimed, before turning towards Y/n. "But she is right, if anything happens, we'll adopt you." Mrs Jeon said with a wink.

"Eomma! Why did you hit me?!" As Jangmi whined, a glare to shut her up was sent her way from her mother.

"Done!" Exclaimed the make-up artist, straightening up while admiring her work of art.

Amidst all the chaos, Y/n hadn't realised that the make-up was done, making her flinch dramatically at the make-up artist's words. Almost as if it had been timed, Y/n's mother entered the dressing room, a beautiful wedding gown in her hands.

"Y/n-ah, are you done with the make-up? We need to get you dressed."

"Oh! Y/n's mother! You came at the right time, Y/n just finished. Let's quickly get into her dress." Mrs Jeon said while pushing Y/n into the dressing room, beckoning Y/n's mother at the same time.

Y/n widened her eyes at Mrs Jeon's behaviour while complying with her soon-to-be mother-in-law.

"Wah! Is this even my daughter?" Mrs Hwang exclaimed in shock and disbelief while staring at the timid figure of Y/n in her wedding dress.

"I know right?! She looks so pretty." Mrs Jeon muttered in awe.

"Jungkookie is very lucky," Jangmi whispered under her breath as she joined the other two in staring at Y/n in amazement.

Y/n stood on a wooden pedestal, staring at herself in the life-size mirror, astonished at her reflection. It was a traditional wedding dress, an off-white princess ball gown, laced with intricate patterns towards the end. The sweetheart neckline and corset bodice accentuated her waist, producing a beautiful silhouette. It looked divine.

She looked like a snow queen, mesmerising the others with her striking beauty.

"I can't believe my baby is getting married." Her mother whispered under her breath in awe and content, tears threatening to escape at the sight of her daughter all dressed up.

Mrs Jeon looked towards Mrs Hwang with an equally joyful and pleased expression as the reality settled amongst them.

Their kids were getting married.

"Mr Fan, I do not care whether your grandmother is hospitalised! You have committed to this company and I expect you to finish this before tonight or I will look forward to seeing your resignation letter on my desk." He demanded strictly before cutting the call, not even bothering to listen to the reply.

"You know, you're probably the only person making a business call 30 minutes before your wedding." A voice interrupted, slightly shocking Jungkook with his sudden presence.

Jungkook slid his phone in the pocket of his tux, raising an eyebrow at the individual.

"And you are?" He questioned, straightening his posture, slightly intimidating the other presence with his stern yet poker expression.

"Lee Minho, just the wedding planner." He introduced himself, holding his hand out for a handshake.

"Jeon Jungkook, the groom." He replied, returning the handshake alongside with a stiff nod.

"I know, I always thought I would meet the groom before his wedding day, but I never did?"

"The schedule always clashed with my work, so it was quite unfortunate." He nonchalantly replied, making the wedding planner raise an eyebrow interested in his behaviour.

"Oh, a workaholic I see." He teased, trying to lighten the mood in the waiting room. "I must say, you might be the first groom to miss his wedding rehearsal for work."

Jungkook merely shrugged his shoulders, choosing to ignore the accusatory tone of the planner.

"Did you like the wedding so far? The decorations?"

"It's nice and aesthetic. Just make sure the guests are comfortable, our top investors are attending."

"Got it." He finished off with a salute, mocking Jungkook's boss-like orders. "Just wanted to confirm, you do know that it's your wedding right?"

Jungkook hummed in response, a confused glint present in his eyes.

"Since you don't seem to be worried at all."

"Should I be?"

"No, no… but it is a huge change."

"Is it your job to try and cancel this wedding? I'm doing perfectly fine, everything going as per schedule. There is no need for me to be worried. It's not like I'm going to lose money and company deals because I got married." Jungkook replied, not understanding what the strange man in front of him was implying.

"Forget your company! I'm talking about waking up to the same person's face every morning, the cuddles, the connection, having someone be there for you at all times!"

Jungkook stared at the planner before sitting on his chair softly, deep in thoughts.

"I guess that would be nice."

Minho's face erupted into a big smile, elated at the sliver of emotion the groom showcased. From everything he heard about Jungkook from the rehearsals and meetings was that he was… emotionally constipated. This was a pleasing reaction.

"Nice?! You should be so exhilarated!" He squealed, unconsciously poking a finger in the groom's side in excitement.

"Hands off."

At Jungkook's stern words, he scrambled away, straightening his posture sheepishly.

"You know, you're not that emotionally constipated." The planner voiced out unknowingly.

"Excuse me?!"

The wedding was held in a beautifully magnificent hall. It was a traditional wedding, simple, glamorous and elegant. Lilac coloured satin ribbons accessorised the wooden walls as luxurious flowers ornamented the halls. It was breathtaking. A lush, bushy arch decorated with fine white roses along with violet and blue hortensia stood at the end of the aisle, while wooden chairs that were garlanded with flower bundles were filled with restless guests, excited for the ceremony.

Jungkook stood at the edge of the aisle, impatiently waiting for the entrance of the bride, the palms of his hands, unconsciously sweaty. The piano playing Canon in D shook him from his reverie, forcing him to look up from his shoes to see his soon-to-be bride. It was the first time he saw her, disregarding the photos his father had sent, and he was mesmerised. It wasn't like love at first sight - no - this was like reality had settled over him; this was who he was going to spend his life with, and to be honest… he was fine with it. She looked ethereal in her enthralling dress, her eyes sparkling innocence and purity which the white dress imitated. She wore a comforting smile as she stared back at him, her doe eyes glittering. He felt safe.

Y/n, on the other hand, was in jitters, never doing too well as the centre of the attention. She felt unnerving in front of everyone, scared she was going to make a fool out of herself. However, she couldn't ignore the butterflies fluttering in her stomach as she laid her eyes on Jungkook. It was almost like her eyes were physically glued onto him. It could be the fact that he was also the centre of attention, his mere presence was reassuring. He was breathtakingly handsome, but rather than intimidated, she felt calm.

As she reached the end of the aisle, he politely held out his hand for her, which she gladly took as she stepped on the wooden stage, careful not to trip over the steps. His hand was slightly clammy, but it wrapped hers in soothing warmth. In contrast, her fingers were frozen cold, almost numb with anxiousness. Jungkook had almost flinched at how cold her hand was, making her send an awkward smile his way. Although no words were exchanged, he intertwined their fingers as she stood next to him, squeezing her hand in an attempt of reassurance, as they stared at each other.

The crowd burst into cheers and applause, delighted at the union of the couple, their parents in tears filled with joy. The couple briefly looked at each other before turning away, subtle yet shy smiles present on their faces.

It was beautiful.

She waved her friends goodbye before turning away and walking back home. She adjusted the big load of books in her hands before continuing down the street. Looking down at the street cat eagerly eating a plate of food that was given by a kind stranger, she smiled. If her hands were not occupied she would have surely played with the cat, finding the utmost joy in the cute fur-ball. Chuckling to herself at the cute antics of the cat, she walked past the adorable animal. With her house was just on the outskirts of the campus, it was only a short 20-minute walk from her last class to home. However, the heavy books in hand weighted her down quite a lot, making the journey long and treacherous.

As she reached the foot of her house, she shifted the weight of the books onto one hand, before carefully reaching out for the handle and nudging the door open. Desperate to get the weight off her, she dropped the books on a nearby sofa and plonked down nearby in absolute fatigue.

Her house was a simple two-story house, its simplicity hyperbolised by the wooden walls and furniture. However, it was more than what meets the eyes. The tables were made out of mahogany wood and the walls were intentionally decorated with expensive reclaimed wood to bring an antique aesthetic to the house. The sofas were lined with luxurious linen that was personally transported from Belgium, ornamented with fluffy cushions and silk drapes.

"Eomma!" She called out. "I'm back!"

Hearing her voice an elderly woman in her fifties emerged from the kitchen, wearing a stained apron and a wooden ladle in her hand.

"Y/N-ah! Where have you been? You were supposed to come home an hour ago."

Chuckling sheepishly, Y/N muttered a timid "Sorry".

"Sorry?! That's it?" The mother exclaimed. "What did I expect, this daughter of mine is only useful at creating troubles. No explanation, no phone calls, nothing!" She muttered under her breath, walking back into the kitchen.

Rolling her eyes at her mother's actions, Y/N pushed herself off the couch and walked towards the kitchen.

"Eomma," She called out. "I'm sorry, but I was at the library and I read this amazing book. You know, when someone talks about Stockholm syndrome, it was always the small little acts of kindness like the library in Beauty and The Beast that cause the main lead to fall in love, but this book included the true cunning nature of Stockholm syndrome. I mean the kidnapper personally abused and starved her and the mere idea that he didn't kill her, made her fall in love. I mean, isn't that crazy?!"

"When will you leave these novels and focus on your textbooks?" Her mother questioned, not even the slightest bit interested in the book her daughter was describing.

At her mother's words, Y/N visibly cringed in disgust.

"Don't say things like that. My books and the textbooks are two very different things. You can't compare them at all!" She paused her rant to examine her mother's actions. "Eomma... Are you cooking?!"

Y/N was absolutely shocked. The fact that her mother can't cook to save her life was a well-known fact amongst her family, the main reason why they had to hire a cook at home.

"Don't look so surprised." Her mother deadpanned, not liking Y/N's reaction.

"Why? Did something happen to Ajumma? Is she sick? Are you trying to poison us?" At her last question, she earned a smack from her mother and a deadly glare.

"Stop, your dad is coming today and ajumma took a leave."

"Appa?! He is coming today?" Y/N's eyes widened in joy and happiness.

"Yeah, so don't disturb me and go wear something nice."

"Cool!" She muttered excitedly before planting a peck on her mother's cheek and running off upstairs, into her room.

"I don't know what to do with this girl." The mother shook her head in faux disappointment.

"Y/n! Stop poking your food like it's bear sleeping!" Her mother exclaimed, feeling extremely offended at Y/n's cautious yet disgusted expression.

"Eomma, don't blame me! A cucumber should be green in a salad, not black. How did you even manage to burn salad?" She said exasperatedly, dropping her utensils almost like she quit eating.

"Y/n, don't be so mean to your mother. She is trying hard." He said with a deep voice, before looking at his wife in a loving gaze, which was easily reciprocated with a thankful smile.

Y/n shivered in disgust.

"Exactly! Why is she even trying?! Everyone knows that she is a worse cook than Ratatouille's Alfred Linguini before he met the rat!" Her dad snickered at this, finding truth in Y/n's words, before his wife shot him a look, quickly shutting him up.

"Y/n, Honey, we have some news…" Her mother started off, rubbing her palms on her dress with a nervous expression on her face.

Y/n frowned playfully, a teasing glint in her eyes.

"What's wrong? The last time you called me that, you made me write an obituary about dad and lie that he had recently died due to some war so you would get that discount." Y/n questioned her mother's actions suspiciously, as her mother sat in front of her, gulping down her saliva anxiously.

"You're mother wants to- I'm sorry? You lied that I was dead?!" This was news to the dad, causing Y/n to chuckle sheepishly yet guiltily at her mother.

"It was a really good deal!"

"Whatever!" He dismissed the topic with faux displease before he straightened his posture. "We… wanted to know how you felt about marriage." He slightly tested the waters, cautious of Y/n's reactions.

"Marriage? Why I'm only 21?" She asked innocently, not noticing the seriousness in her father's tone, as she settled for some bread and butter for dinner.

"Do you know Uncle Jeon?" Her father pushed the idea slowly towards Y/n.

"Uncle Jeon? Of course, I know him. Didn't he come with you last month? You're best friend?" She reached out for the pepper shaker before continuing. "He thinks I'm really popular since I always laugh at my phone, but we all know I was just reading a really funny book." Her parents rolled their eyes at how oblivious their daughter was.

"Well… he has a son, a little bit older than you. How would you feel getting married to him?"

At this Y/n paused her actions before looking up at her parents with a questioning look.

"You want me to marry Uncle Jeon?"

"No! His son!" Her mother exclaimed, exasperated at how dumb her daughter who is studying medicine at Seoul National University can be.

"Oh!" Y/n dragged, finally understanding what her parents were implying. "Good! I was slightly worried you wanted me to marry a married 50-year old. I know I'm kind, but not THAT kind." She joked.

Her parents sighed, her father straightening the wrinkles on his forehead, worried at how his daughter was taking this seriously.

"Y/n, I'm serious." He stated, with a knowing look directed towards his daughter.

"Fine! How old is this dude?"

"26" Her mother excitedly input, pleased to see such a positive reaction - no screaming or crying.

"What does he do?"

"He is a managing director at JK Enterprises, but he is soon going to be the CEO." At this, Y/n raised an eyebrow, impressed. Not because of the status or money, but at how he was striving forward in his career, not threatened by his challenging future.

"He's only 26? He sounds like he got his whole life together." She muttered with frowned eyebrows before sitting up straight, clapping her hands together with widened eyes, and a prominent smile. "He sounds like a perfect target for me to ruin his life!"

The couple looked at her daughter in fear and terror.

"I'm joking!" Y/n frowned in playful disappointment at how her parents didn't play along with her. "But seriously, I'm all okay with this, but… if he's a jerk, I will divorce him and you should be okay with that. Fine?"

"Sure, we would never want you to suffer!" Her mother reassured, surprised that her daughter would think otherwise.

"But why are you agreeing so easily?" Her father interrogated, suspicious of any ulterior motives.

"Listen, I am an adult with extremely high standards, thanks to the characters in my book. Unless I want to be the creepy grandma with 50 cats, I think I should take up this offer." She nonchalantly mentioned.

"I never thought I would grow to see my daughter so mature." Her mother sighed contently, her father agreeing readily.

"Now that I agreed to what you guys want… what're your thoughts on getting a cat?"

The couple sighed, cursing themselves for expecting anything else.

Only their daughter would get married for a cat.

He placed his glasses on the marble table, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. He glanced at his wristwatch, indicating it was well past his lunch break. Regardless, he continued on reading the documents in front of him. He desperately needed to finish these off by today, so he could send the approval for tomorrow's shipment. He fidgeted with his Mont Blanc pen as he read the papers, not a single word registering in his mind. In frustration, he banged his fist on the table, a thud echoing across the empty room. Resting his head against the leather material of his chair, he ran his fingers through this hair. Desperate to get through these, he once again looks at the paper, determined to stay focused.

After 3 torturous hours, he signed his name at the bottom of the paper. Leaning back, his fingers grasped the plastic-coated telephone and brought it to his ear as he dialed his secretary's number.

"Secretary Han, please collect these documents before the end of today." His tone was short and definitive, leaving no place for the secretary to say anything.

Without wasting any time, he hung up the phone and moved the papers to the side before turning towards his computer, opening the proposal that was sent to him. Going through the details, he looked for a method to lower the expenses. They simply could not afford such a budget. However, this was the version the government had approved, any changes would compromise the health and safety regulations. He bit his nail anxiously, leg bouncing up and down, desperate to come up with a solution. A knock on the door broke his reverie as he looked towards the source.

"Come in." His loud voice boomed with authority.

"Good afternoon Sir." A man in his late 50s came in holding a tablet. "You have a Meeting with Chairman Jeon and Chairman Hwang from HW Enterprises in 10 minutes, should I prepare the meeting room?"

"Sure, you may go now." At his words, the elderly bowed in respect before turning around to exit. "And Secretary Han... Change your shirt, this would be an important meeting." Secretary Han glanced at his food-stained shirt before sheepishly nodding at the Managing Director and exiting the room flustered.

He was curious as to why this meeting was suddenly held but he could not spare any more time as he quickly turned his attention back onto the screen. He had been working for this for so long, his entire career was leading towards this, how can he lower the budget without compromising the quality of the project. JK Enterprise was known to be the best and this project would place the company at the top.

Sighing, he minimised the tab before standing up and reaching for his suit jacket. Adjusting his tie he stepped towards the door and opened it. Heading towards the Meeting Room, his polished shoes thudded against the tiled floors. Employees stood up and bowed in response to his presence, but he did not react at all, the cold, neutral gaze fixed in front of him. He had an intimidating aura around him at all times, a powerful and professional aura that frightened the employees.

He stood in front of the glass doors and his long strong fingers around the cold metal handle of the door and pulled it open. As he stepped into the room, two elderly men, close colleagues, looked towards him in surprise, momentarily pausing their conversation.

"Oh Jungkook-ah, come in!" Exclaimed Chairman Jeon as he welcomed in his son.

Jungkook entered with a stoic expression, eyes held politeness and respect that was directed to the two men. In return, Chairman Hwang merely smiled and nodded, silently welcoming the young man. Jungkook took a seat opposite the two men, curious as to why their faces were bubbling with excitement.

"Good evening Chairman Hwang, it’s a pleasure to meet you." Jungkook said, the simple sentence laced with professionalism.

"Aigoo, don't be so formal with me Jungkook-ah!" Joked Chairman Hwang.

"He is always like that. He talks to me like that at home, his own father! Could you believe that?!" The two friends laughed, causing Jungkook to force a small smile on his, to avoid being rude.

"With all due respect, may I know the purpose of this meeting?" At Jungkook's words, the two men composed themselves, seriousness slowly emerging on their faces.

"Jungkook-ah, how do feel about marriage?" At the father's question, Jungkook raised an eyebrow.

"What about marriage?" His voice was cold and neutral, almost challenging the two elderly men.

"Jungkook-ah, don't you want to be the CEO? You know the condition your grandfather had mentioned, the CEO must be married." Jungkook sighed in frustration.

"I know, but I just don't have the time to find someone."

"That's where I come in." Butted in Chairman Hwang, Jungkook looked at him in confusion urging him to continue.

"You know that Chairman Hwang has a daughter, right?" Interjected Chairman Jeon, cautiously trying to bring the idea in front of Jungkook.

Jungkook did remember visiting a newborn baby when he was very young. He nodded hesitantly at the two men, confused as to where this conversation was heading.

"How about you both marry each other?" At Chairman Hwang's words, Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows.

"Pardon?"

"Jungkook, just think about this. She's a wonderful girl." His father tried to persuade the young man.

"Our companies will merge together, and the stock prices will increase. We can help you with your current project." Chairman Hwang pleaded.

Needless to say, Jungkook was persuaded. He didn't have to waste time finding someone, she was from a very close, trusted family, his company will rise further and he will receive the help he requires. That is what marriage was to him: a business proposal. Jungkook slightly nodded his head, taking all the information in. At this response, the two elderly men widened their eyes in disbelief and happiness, shocked at how quietly Jungkook was listening to them.

"How will the merging process be like?" Jungkook inquired.

"We will first release the news of your engagement before releasing the news of the merging."

"That would be the best." Jungkook quietly muttered, agreeing with Chairman Hwang.

"Yes, and as soon as you get married, you will be appointed CEO and I was hoping you would be willing to take leadership of both sides." Jungkook nodded in approval.

"That would work for me. We would have to set another meeting to discuss the details, but around what date would the marriage be fixed?"

"Well, it would be around August, as she would have college-" At Chairman Hwang's words, Jungkook raised an eyebrow.

"College?" Jungkook questioned.

"Yes, she is in her third year of college, studying Medicine."

"She would be quite young, would that create a problem?"

"She is 21 years old. I understand that an age gap of 5 years is not ideal, but I do feel she is a mat-"

"It would be no issue, I was just worried whether she was over the age of consent or not." Jungkook declared.

"Would you be okay with marrying my daughter? We are not forcing you, so you don't have to say yes." Chairman Hwang mentioned, slightly hesitant to how easily Jungkook agreed.

"I do understand that. I believe this proposal would be beneficial for both parties. Have you talked about this with your daughter?" Jungkook inquired.

"I haven't yet, I wanted to know your perspective on this before talking to my daughter."

"I am not against this proposal at all. I hope you can talk with your daughter regarding this and get back to me as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I do have another meeting right now, so I would have to take a leave right now. I apologise for my behaviour, but it is quite important."

"No worries, but Jungkook-ah, are you sure? Do you not even want to see her picture?"

"I don't feel the need for that, you don't have to worry. I must take a leave now. Hope you have a wonderful day." Jungkook stood up and bowed to the two men, before leaving the room.

There was silence amongst the two men as they looked at each other in shock and disbelief.

"Yah! Weren't you the one who said he wouldn't agree?!" Chairman Hwang exclaimed.

"Well excuse me! I didn't know that he would agree so easily. He has never been seen with a girl, I genuinely thought he might be gay!"

"You tried setting my daughter up with someone that was gay?!"

"No! It was just a possibility!" Chairman Jeon exclaimed.

The two men calmed themselves, wrapping their heads around the situation.

"What about your daughter? Would she agree?" Chairman Jeon questioned.

"I hope so."

"Oh, my-" You exclaimed as you bumped into someone, spilling your iced coffee all over his white shirt. "I'm so sorry!"

He looked at his now-stained shirt before looking back up, a kind smile present despite the unfortunate circumstances.

"It's perfectly fine, I should have been watching where I was going. We both are at fault here, so it's no worries." His voice was deep and melancholic, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he smiled.

You were swooning hard. Never have you met someone so beautiful yet kind, someone, so mature and gentleman-like. Honestly, when you saw the coffee stain, you were sure that this already-horrible day couldn't have gone worse, yet your eyesight was gifted with such eye candy, that the world around you almost seemed brighter.

"No, I should have been careful. Let me do something for you in return, I feel bad for ruining your shirt." You offered, not used to someone being so understanding.

"Well, let's just have coffee if we ever meet again." He gave you a final smile before heading on his way, leaving you dumbfoundedly staring at his disappearing figure in awe and adoration.

The next time the two of you met was at the movie theatres.

You were busy scavenging through your bag, desperately trying to find your phone, hastily wanting to contact your office.

"Hey, excuse me, I think you dropped this." A dark velvety voice interrupted your actions, startling you slightly.

You looked up from your bag to see your phone held out by a stranger. You exhaled in relief, extremely pleased to find your phone.

"Oh! Thank you so mu-" You looked up, only to widen your eyes in recognition. "Hey! You're the same guy!"

"Huh! What a coincidence seeing you here! My name's Seokjin." He held out a hand for a handshake as he introduced himself.

"Y/n." You said as you shook his hand, an excited smile on your face at the mere thought of meeting him again.

"So, what movie are you here to watch? Or did you already finish watching the movie?" The two of you started walking together, mindlessly walking in no particular direction.

The next few months were spent alongside laughter and giggles, love present in their eyes as they went on dates, sleepless nights filled with love. He became the lighthouse shining a light on her dreary life, her safe haven. It was worthy to be part of a compilation from a hallmark movie, it was beautiful. Not a moment was spent without a smile on their faces.

"Why is he not here yet?" She scanned her eyes through the restaurant, skimming past the fancy décor and couples in clothes that were worth a fortune.

Her leg bounced up and down in anticipation as she plastered an awkward smile when she denied the waiter once again.

"Oh no, it's fine. I'll order when he arrives." The waiter nodded with a pitiful smile before heading off.

She ran her hands through her emerald dress, straightening any folds, trying to get her mind off the fact that she was waiting all alone in the restaurant, making a fool of herself in front of everyone else. Fiddling with her fingers, she patiently waited, looking with anticipation whenever someone entered the restaurant, only to be disappointed.

It was their semi-anniversary or 6 monthiversary.

'Did he forget?' She thought as she bit her lip nervously, not caring about the red lipstick that stained her lips.

She dialled his number once more only for it to ring once before the call was cut. She stared incredulously at her phone, confusion present tangibly on her face.

"Is there something wrong with his phone?" She naively thought, ignoring any other reason as to why her call was denied.

Nevertheless, she waited. Patiently watching the clock inevitably tick by, watching couples enter and leave the restaurant. Her eyes pooled with tears as the time passed, her dress crumbled in her fist, palms sweaty with dread and angst.

"Hello miss, it's time to close the restaurant now." The waiter said uneasily, pitying her.

"Oh!" ______ looked around, flustered as she hurried to grab all her belongings. "Thank you." She mumbled politely before scurrying off, her head hung low in embarrassment.

Her heart felt heavy as stepped out of the restaurant, a chill traveling down her spine as she stepped outside, shivering when she felt snow on her bare shoulders.

'Is it snowing already?'

It had been a week since that incident and she was yet to hear anything from him. She knew that she should be angry at how he was ignoring her, frustrated at him ghosting her… but she was worried for him.

'Is he hurt?

'Did I do something wrong to annoy him?'

'Is he okay?'

She sighed woefully, a teardrop escaping the corner of her eye as she emptily reached out for her dress for the business party tonight, her fingertips grazing the golden material of the dress unconsciously as she reminisced about her last moments.

Her movements were monotonous and robotic, arms merely moving while her heart cried silently. Not paying attention to her actions, she dressed herself up, with no emotion in movements or expressions. She wanted to cry her eyes out, succumb to the pain of her heart continuously stabbed at the absence of his presence, but she had to go to this party, she had to pay the rent, she needed this job.

With an empty look she stepped out of her house, a purse hung on her shoulder as she absentmindedly locked the door.

With her hollow eyes, she got in the cab.

With nugatory movements, she stepped inside the building, not noticing the beautiful interior décor made out of crystals and expensively pure metals, ignoring the extravagant dresses and designer suits, not paying attention to the lavish champagne or extortionate food.

She felt empty.

Taking a huge breath, she smeared a fake smile, straightening her back before she continued her journey to the centre of the hall where her boss stood.

"Oh _____! Welcome, CEO Kim was just talking about how he didn't see you!" CEO park welcomed you with a wide smile.

CEO Kim, was an old man in his 60s, the person who ran your rival company. The tension between the two parties was palpable, the strained smiles on everyone's faces as they wished the worst for the other company only hid the rivalry from the audience's eyes. He smiled wickedly, a cunningly teasing glint present in his eyes as held a hand out for a handshake.

"Ms _____, It's a pleasure to see you."

"You too, CEO Kim." _____ replied through gritted teeth as she returned his handshake.

"I must say Ms _____, you're right in time. We have something special to announce today and I'm glad you're here to witness it."

She quickly sent a wary look towards her boss, slightly confused yet anxious for what they had prepared, to which CEO Park merely shrugged.

"I would hate to miss it." ______ politely replied, already feeling squeamish under his gaze.

He sadistically smiled before he headed for the stage, ringing his champagne glass to obtain the audience's attention.

"Hello everyone, it truly is a pleasure to see you here. Standing in front of all you prestigious guests, I feel honoured to be a part of such a community, I feel proud. This is why I am pleased to announce our latest design, the next pride of Korea, the next… tallest building of Korea!"

The lights dimmed as a miniature model of the building was rolled onto the stage… and her heart dropped.

Her eyes widened at the model, palms sweaty as she looked at CEO Park in alarm and disbelief.

That was her model. That was the model her company was working on for the past 7 months. All that sweat and long office hours… only to see the model standing in the hands of her rival.

"Ms ______!" CEO Park whispered to you harshly with an enraged expression. "What is the meaning of this?! Why is our model with him?!"

"I-I… I don't know." She replied under her breath, not being able to grasp this situation.

Her eyes consistently shifted in panic and distress, silently praying that someone would jump out to scream that it was a joke, a horrible joke.

Unfortunately, this was not a joke. This was reality.

"And this…" CEO Kim continued. "Would not have been possible without someone special. It would like to invite my son, the next heir, onto the stage."

A young man stepped on the stage, walking towards his father a bright smile present on his face. ______'s eyes widened, stomach-churning painfully as she recognised the individual.

Kim Seokjin.

She swallowed painfully, tears springing to her eyes, and her chest heaved up and down in dread.

"Ugh!" She groaned as she plopped on the sofa, immediately lying her head on his lap as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"You tired?" He softly spoke, his fingers calming her down instantly.

You merely nodded, pouting as she was immediately pampered by her boyfriend.

"Want to talk about it?" He prodded her.

"We are working on a new project but we can figure how to protect it from floods and earthquakes." She sighed, frustrated at the mere idea of her work.

"You've done it before right?" You nodded. "Then why can't it work for this project?"

"It's going to be the tallest building in Korea, almost 100m higher than Lotte Tower."

"You want to work on it together? I know I'm just a civil engineer, but I might be able to help you?"

'You said you were an engineer?' Her heart dropped excruciatingly at the memory, mouth open at disbelief and betrayal.

'Was everything just a lie?'

His eyes skimmed through the crowd, a smirk climbing onto his face when he saw her standing there with tears pooled in her eyes, pleased to see the hurt in her face, feeling proud of his actions and that was enough to answer her questions.
