Hearing the reason for Red being up in Dragonspine was honestly surprising; the camp hadnāt mentioned anything about it to her. The fact that the Fatui were meddling in this didnāt surprise her any either. She hadnāt seen any of their presence so far on the mountain.
āThey didnāt mention that, no.ā Serena replied with a slight shake of her head. āItās interesting the Fatui are meddling with this,ā her opinion on the group wasnāt positive in the slightest, especially after having some run-ins with them, āgranted they seem to stick their nose in anything, but⦠I wonder the significance of this dragon, and whatās making them so adamant on researching it to the point where theyāre not backing out even when threatened with death.ā Although it seemed dangerous, she couldnāt deny the curiosity that followed.
Sheād pause thoughtfully for a moment, grey eyes taking in the landscape briefly. āDo you⦠want or need any help?ā Serena offered. āIām not personally affiliated with any group, so I can take as much time as I need exploring places and being out.ā It wasnāt as if she had any urgent matters going on either. Red did seem very capable himself, but leaving him to deal with something like this alone made her feel somewhat worried even still. On the flipside, however, she didnāt want to impose or intrude on his business any. Heād already had to go out of his way to save her from fallingā¦
āThatās how I feel with Rose as well⦠weāve never come across a courtless seelie before until now, and I know it must be really isolating for herā¦ā Yet she was getting along with Gleam very well, returning the nudge that the blue seelie had given her. With how open he was being towards Rose, it was easy for her to get along with him. She seemed to be sticking close to Gleam now, playfully bumping against him every now and then.
Oh. He supposed he wouldnāt need to ask if she would be fine on her own, though he canāt hide a look of surprise that she asked to come along to chase down a deadly dragon. ā...I could use an extra hand in looking around up here, itās hard to be sure Iām seeing all the clues to something huge when Iām here on my own,ā he explains.Ā āSo... if youāre sure, then I wouldnāt be opposed to that at all.ā Itād been a long time since heād actually had a companion to his travels, itād be strange but... honestly he was also looking forward to it. When was the last time that thought had come up in his mind?
āJust know that you donāt need to stick around if you get sick of the cold, or donāt want to deal with the dragon. But... I know Gleam and I would be glad to have you and Rose along for the walk through Dragonspine.ā He smiles sincerely, and no matter if she only stayed for a short period of time, itād be nice while it lasted. Something of a warm moment despite the freezing temperatures of the land itself.
āIād like to know why the Fatui are so interested in this dragon too,ā he hums.Ā āIfĀ theyāre still around theyāre somewhere between running and hiding, and attempting to find the same beast as us. No matter what they have in mind though, I doubt itās at all a good thing. Especially not with the mess they brought to Mondstadt not too long ago.ā
While Red explained, Gleam did pipe up when he heard his name... but for the most part he was preoccupied with his fellow seelie, playfully bumping back and floating in circles around Rose. Maybe all that was all well and interesting, but in his mind Rose was muuuch more important than some weird dragon!
