About me
My hobbies include collecting plushies and vinyl records. I’m a furry and a guitar player.
I am POSIC, and my belief system is somewhat similar to animism. I collect plushies. Most of them are stuffed animals, and I also have some fandom related ones. Between my roommate and I, we have around 70 in total. Bonding with them is very important to me, as I perceive them to be sentient beings whose vessels can be changed when they become worn down due to being well loved.
My lifelong special interest is zombie media, and post-apocalyptic media more broadly. My personal favorites in the genre are The Walking Dead franchise (which sparked my interest in the first place) and World War Z (the book).
Another very consistent interest has been the Pathologic series.
I also like cyberpunk, because it helps me imagine a future. If the apocalypse didn’t happen in the early 2010s, it’s time for the cyberpunk dystopia.

Things to keep in mind:
this blog is mostly for connecting with the nonhuman community in this neck of the woods, although I do tend to talk about a lot of other things on here, including but not limited to: special interests and hyper-fixations, being mentally ill and neuroatypical
i'm dx with ADHD and i'm on Ritalin and mood stabilizers. other conditions (other than the basic depression-anxiety combo) aren’t dx, but probably exist
important: i will not engage in any kind of political debate or discussion, and generally want to avoid conflict over politics
i'm from eastern europe & tend to avoid discussions that aren't relevant to my corner of the world, especially Very Online™ or doomer takes; important: i especially don't want to hear about american politics, social issues and discourse. nothing against it, it just doesn't concern me. while i do like some amount of cultural conversation, my geographical placement renders many western-centric discussions irrelevant to my life in general, as i have my own local politics to worry about

my favorite coping mechanism for pretty much anything is to take the things I feel bad about and flip them on their head. disgusted about a kink? guess what it’s time to be controversial and embrace it. people think something is cringe? embrace the cringe. be a freak. become more of a freak when people are shitty to you. every time someone’s being an asshole you just get weirder (including your own mind)
you're in a play. you have this dramatic backstory about how your parents lived their life and how it affected you, maybe a relevant trauma or just generally disagreeing with them. the details matter insofar as they affect how you act in the current moment, how you interact with the people who play your peers and the way you're perceived because of it. most stuff is just boring busywork or grinding for money and maintaining your reputation. you occasionally have some important interactions that for the most part leave you with a feeling of dread. rewards come with more questions or setbacks.
thinking about how my disabilities give me species euphoria :3 my skin is super brittle and flakes off a lot and it sucks but also !!! zombie !!!!! that's exactly what my skin is supposed 2 do !!! and i can relate my hypermobility stuff 2 me being a shapeshifter (werewolf) & a cryptid , it makes me feel like such a CREATURE !!! and raynauds makes my hands and feet really cold and they turn purple-blue-ish sometimes like yeahhhhh i am a rotting corpse ... and a lot of my verbal tics are weird animal-like noises i am just a silly noisy crow !! being disabled sucks most of the time but looking at certain symptoms like this in a positive light makes me feel a lot better :] if anyone else has similar experiences i would love 2 hear about how ur disabilities relate 2 ur kintypes feel free 2 ramble in the replies or tags <3

i find it hilarious how oynon (@defrostedvertebrae) can see through and call me out on what is essentially a pomeranian or other small domestic pet feeling really tough
being intoxicated is just a physical thing. being drunk, on the other hand, is all about the mind. ya just gotta choose to let it take over and lower your inhibitions and tip yourself over the edge.

i have this recurring issue where i enjoy an artist's music, or even get hyperfixated on their discography. most of the time, because they're mentally ill and relatable. and then they announce that they want to essentially retire or stop making music indefinitely in their 30s and have kids. and they're like, I regret my whole career, I'm so much happier now that I have a family.
so you used to be cool, and now you’re boring. got it.
i only got into mlp as an adult. and while I'm sad that i missed out on core fandom stuff and having that fervent-like attachment to something I can give my undivided attention to for years (as you do when you're a t(w)een with no social life like i was), I'm so glad I'm able to enjoy it without a hint of irony as an adult, and to be able to say that it's good without nostalgia clouding my judgment.
mlp and furry media are such a staple for me right now and I'm happy with the fact that i got into those as an adult because it showed me that you can still have intense interests as you grow older, and that the concept of putting away childish things is bullshit.
two years later and mlp is still something i deeply cherish. it’s actually helped me make friends who are equally weird. i guess friendship is magic. i have plushies of the Mane 6, Discord, and Starlight (with commie hair) and Trixie who are canonically married in the fanfiction i really need to read and wear rings on their horns. i have so much pony music saved on spotify and Vylet Pony is one of my favorite artists.
meanwhile, i’ve gotten more into furry culture, i got a tablet so i can learn to draw. guess i’m living my twenties as a furry mlp enjoyer who’s also still into the same things ey were in when ey were younger and purposefully getting into “cringe” stuff.
and yeah i’m still watching the walking dead all these years later.

i have so many treasured memories associated with back to black that it feels like being 15 again and i can see every part of my grandparents' house with communist era books, a backyard full of farm animals, vhs players and 90s tube televisions and other obsolete tech
'm a very big fan of media that is intentionally triggering. there's just something about it. the intention to do harm is an exercise in agency and i think that's beautiful
