Oswald wasnāt sure why Jack had come calling at the hour he had, and yet he hadnāt hesitated to invite him on a midnight walk- an invitation into his sacred solitude, an invitation into his heart, in a way- because heād been there.Ā
The words were spoken with such reverance, quiet voice disturbing stillness. The lake surface seemed to ripple in accordance to the blondās words. Oswald suppressed a shiver- to him, Jack wasnāt talking about the lake they were both viewing, he was talking about something much more sinister, something much deeper, something much more personal. To Oswald, Jack was talking about himself.Ā
