Eventually

the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like. 

So you know. 

After hearing the importance of roses in her parents’ courtship, May and Drew’s daughter starts drawing roses on everything in sight.

Drew would be reading a coordinator magazine, only to find several drawings of roses on almost every page.

One day, Uncle Max came over and accidentally knocked one of his pokeballs under the coach. He moved the coach to see a mural of roses on the wall.

Drew thought this had gone on long enough. He made a deal with their daughter.

He’d plant a rose bush if she stopped drawing roses on everything besides paper.

His daughter instantly agreed.

Drew grumbled as he tried to make this way through the lateminute Christmas shoppers with May.

He had bought his presents since way back in June and hadencouraged May to do so as well, but that didn’t happen.

Now, he was stuck in the mall on Christmas Eve with Mayfrantically searching for the perfect gifts for her friends and Pokemon at thevery last minute.

“May, I bet you wish you had listened to me now, right?”Drew turned to say to May who was no longer next to him.

“What? May, where are you? May!” Drew searched the shoppersaround him but couldn’t find May’s red beanie anywhere.

“I guess I’ll try to call her.” Drew tried, but to no avail,as it went straight to voicemail.  Maymust’ve forgot to charge it….again.

For 10 minutes, Drew searched high and low for her butwithout success.

Drew was standing in the food court when he heard the mallspeaker system go on.

“Attention, customers. If you find a little boy with green hairand ugly pants, please escort him to the –“

*another voice comes on*”He’s not a little boy. I said he ismy boyfriend.”

“A little boy with ugly pants is your boyfriend?!”

“No!He’s….”

“Ahh, May,” Drew sighed. He shook his head and headed towardsthe mall security office while listening to the security cop and May arguing onthe intercom.
