Alternate timeline where Caine more or less gives up on trying to make adventures after the first batch of humans (except for Kinger) abstracts.

He always has a spark of hope whenever a new human arrives that someone might finally care about his little storylines, but none of them ever do.

He spends most of his time either in his office making adventures no one will ever play or larping as a human in one of his many set pieces.

Tries to keep a certain distance from the human cast, but he occasionally gets excited and temporarily forgets his self-imposed nihilism.

His color saturation changes with his true mood. He added it to himself years ago to see if anyone would notice when he isn't feeling well, but no one thinks to bring it up.
