So a while back, Square Enix decided to change the outfit of the main character for the upcoming Mobius (previously known as Mevius) Final Fantasy game. The problem? Well, fans thought his outfit was "too sexy" and showed off too much skin (oh no, the sides of his hips are showing!) ...Which, okay, he DOES look pretty ridiculous(like a lot of Final Fantasy characters), but it does seem a bit hypocritical considering there's tons of female characters, including those from Square Enix, wearing just as little or less than this guy is. I think if game developers insist on putting female characters in much more revealing and impractical clothing, it's only fair to have some dudes looking like this too from time to time. And if it makes some guys uncomfortable? Well... now you know how it feels? (Also, a note: I'm not really complaining about these specific female characters or only their designs - I haven't really played any of the games and don't know a lot about the characters or how they're actually portrayed - just using the costumes to point out a general character design trend. I could have gone with many other characters too) (Also I'm pretty sure I got some outfit details wrong. Only so much of the design you can get from a few pictures...)       Â
