the boy in shambles

 She doesn’t mind how big his writing is, or how shaky it’s getting. He’s talking to her, and they both seem pretty happy about it. And she’s finding it cute that he’s also drawing little doodles on the paper, too. It was funny, and nice.

[ it's ok! i'm happy you did eventually though. would it be weird if i said i feel like i know you? ]

 In the mirror, it is shown that he moves his hand away, so she does the same. But then his hand is moving back toward her, only this time near her face. She flinches a bit at the contact of his hand, ice cold, against her own warm skin. When he fixes her flower, though, she nods a thank you before watching him once again write something down.

[ ...i've been here for a few days. i'm sorry if that sounds creepy. ]

 ”It’s fine! A-Ah, don’t worry..”

He's been looking at his hand, watching how it's hard for her to place it correctly on his. Slowly he moves his hand away and brings it to her hair, fixing a few strands that have fallen out of place and placing the flower upright, since it had drooped down. After, the boy goes back to writing, though unsure what to say. How about an introduction.

 ”Of course you’d be! P-Please don’t say such negative things!”

[ sorry. i'm really sorry. i'm not very optimistic am i. ]

 Seeing the tears in his eyes made her expression soften, and her hand had even reached out a bit to touch his. But she couldn’t do that, so she pulled back, her hands now in her lap as she watched him write. To his reply, she quickly shook her head, looking in the mirror surprised.

[ i don't know if i'd be that great of company though. ]

 Her body was shaking, but that was hardly even noticeable. At first, she thought her eyes were just playing tricks, but then the pen was moving, and in the mirror it was clear there was a boy using it. Though, right beside her, there was no one to be seen.

He was happy she responded, but at the same time he was tearing up a bit out of just the fact he could contact her. This wasn't fake, as much as he wished it was. He didn't want to be dead, but for some reason he wasn't coughing or feeling close to collapsing, which was kinda an upgrade to him.

 She saw his mouth move, yet nothing was heard. Well, there was something. But it sounded like the wind or something. But that could’t be him, could it?

Well, she could definitely see him, but hearing him was out of the question. He expected her to be panicking and confused but she didn't seem to really be too shocked.

 How she would do her hair today? Well, she had decided to do it a tad different. Her hair was getting long. At her shoulders, even! So today, she pulled it back into a high ponytail with a hairband, that had a small flower on it. The middle of the flower was red, and the outer part blue. It was a little creation she made herself.

The boy watched as she pulled her hair back into a ponytail. The band even had a cute little flower on it. To be honest, he'd love to get his hair all nice and well... looking better than a bedhead.

 He’s way too close to her, and she would be embarrassed about it if she didn’t feel the way she felt right now. She leans into his touch, her head resting against his shoulder as she closed her eyes, continuing to say not a word.

He thought about how he needs to get home, but he doesn't even know where he is anyway. If she falls asleep, he probably will too. Maybe. He kept racing questions through his head, worriedly, while on the outside he was perfectly calm and quiet.

 She isn’t going to let go of his hand any time soon. Her grip is tight, but not too tight, in fear she might break his hand like when she pulled off his arm earlier. To his question, the girl shook her head, staring down at her lap with tired eyes.

Everything has been too real already to be a dream. She looked so pale and tired, and he didn't want to leave her side or else he'd feel bad. The boy scoots a bit closer and puts and arm around her. He knows she probably doesn't feel good, so it's best to at least make her feel as comfortable as possible.

After walking down with her to the living room, he slowly sits her on the couch and sits down next to her. The boy continued to hold her hand, since she didn't want to let go it seemed. He felt terrible. He doesn't want to think about her stomach but he does either way.

"We should probably move somewhere more comfortable, don't you think?"

 She can’t reply, mostly because he doesn’t let her, but also because if she tried speaking she might throw up again. Though her hand comes up to stop his, it’s too late. He has taken them off, and he’s screaming, which startles her and makes herself scream. She was shaking from fear and how sick she felt, her legs coming up to her chest, arms wrapped around them.

The boy continues not to speak other than the slight shriek, though a bit horrified. No, he should help this girl, even though he didn't expect this at all. He slowly crawls over to her and moves her arms and knees away from her torso. After a gulp, he begins to wrap bandages around her. It was gross to look at, but he had to do this. She's been nice already and letting him take a bath, he's almost returning a favor. 

 While he does so, she only continues to vomit. Soon, though, it comes to an end, and she’s laying there, breathing heavily, not even paying attention to the boy.

Finally, he finds bandages, and kneels down next to her, gesturing that he puts them on her. Before she even would answer, he began to unwrap the ruined ones she has on, and after they came off, he almost let out a scream. He jumped back a bit covering his mouth, surprised. The boy has experienced bandaging someone before, but not like this. 

 She lets him do as he pleases, too weak to refuse anything. Once at the door to the bathroom she is quick to open it and step inside, falling to her knees in front of the toilet. She opens the lid and leans over it, but for a moment there is nothing happening. She can feel it, though, and how it is soon to happen.

After she gets into the bathroom he keeps some feet between them for her space. She's throwing up, and he felt terrible. What could have happened to her in the past few minutes to injure her like this? Oh please, let her be okay.
